Located on Mission Street between Ocean Ave & 7th Ave, in Carmel California. Mission Bistro Restaurant is owned by Shaheen Alnuaimi. Our history-rich location is warm, charming, and above all cozy. We offer brunch, lunch, dinner, local, and import wines. Chef Matt Zimny sources from Monterey and Santa Cruz County farms and ranches with the goal of serving what is fresh and currently available. At Mission Bistro we do Seafood and Steaks right. Cheers!

We “escape” to Carmel at least twice a year. We have our usuals we go to, but I always try to find one or two restaurants that we’ve never tried before. I’m really not sure why we had never tried Mission Bistro, but from the moment we walked up and were greeted by the young man who took us inside, and then the young lady seated us, Another young man came by and took our drink order. Our server came over relatively quick, took our order and everyone was pleasant, friendly, and the food was really good. My husband thinks he’s a connoisseur of calamari appetizer, and he prefers the rings and tentacles which you can’t always find for some reason so when I had seen that they serve those it was natural we would try them. We both thought they were the best we’ve ever had. The crispiness was perfect. There was no oily taste. We had absolutely no complaints about it. He had the bistro burger. I had the chicken sandwich and again, they both were great. They advertise the french fries that come with our sandwiches as crispy and they were- it was all excellent. The atmosphere was nice. I think it will..no, I know it is now one of our places that we will go to every time we’re on our little vacay to Carmel.

After driving 7 hours this was the absolute perfect dinner spot to unwind and get into classic Carmel by the Sea mode! Delicious , lovely, and keeps us coming back for more.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Everything was perfect for our birthday celebration. Service was outstanding , food was delicious and the atmosphere was delightful.

Very good food and bistro/grill decor. Wait staff were functionally okay, but with flat, unengaged demeanor. Overall vibe was subdued.

Everything was wonderful! As others have mentioned, the crab cakes are some of the best we’ve ever had. The salmon and pork were perfectly cooked. The owner spent several minutes talking with us. Overall a great experience which we intend to repeat on every visit to the area.
