Named after the intrepid journalist who circled the globe in a record 72 days and exposed hidden truths with bravery and flair, Miss Nellie’s is more than just a bar and restaurant—it’s a celebration of adventure and innovation.

Very fun restaurant. Menu unique and yummy. Decor so interesting. Suggest asking for textile room as noise level much lower. Loved it. Will go again for sure.

Found this restaurant on social media and figured we’d give it a try. The restaurant itself is fun with kitschy vintage decor. The lighting is very low, and it was a bit difficult to read the printed menu. We ordered the nachos, smash burger and French dip sandwich. Food was decent. Prices were expected due to it being in the NYC theater district, but pricey ($81 for 2 people, no alcoholic drinks). The table was extremely small and we were barely finished the appetizer before food came out so we had to move things around and put the rest of the nachos on a separate plate to fit everything. . The staff was friendly and service was fine. They had a cute vintage Photo Booth (separate cost) in the bar area which we used before we left.

When we made the reservation, we noted that we had a party member who uses a wheelchair. They set aside an appropriate table and even thought to move the extra chair out of the way. It may seem like a small gesture, but one would be surprised at how often restaurants don't provide such a welcoming experience.

Small menu, but good variety. The chopped salad had great variations in taste & texture; added the grilled chicken which was moist and flavorful. We sat in a small, charming room - only 3 tables - and soon we were having a lively conversation with the other diners!
