Miss B's Coconut Club

Coconut Club’s décor evokes a celebration of Mission Beach’s nautical and maritime past, which takes form as an inspired interpretation of a 30’s-style sailor tiki club. Rum is the star here, and has a leading role in our creative list of grownup cocktails, which includes shareable, tiki-inspired punches and bowls to drum up conversations and generate a buzz. Coconut Club is also a purveyor of fuel that fires the craft beer frenzy, with 20 local and microbrew tap handles.
One and done type experience. We ordered the Fish N Chips and they were tender and juicy - tried some sort of bowl my friend got and it was not good at all, chicken was dry. Ordered the big Havana drink that comes in a copper flamingo, yummy but super weak. Waitress was a doll, but super slow. We probably waited 30 minutes for her to bring us our check when we were ready. One and done type place, not sure if I would go back if I visited again. Everyone has had such good things to say about it but I think he struck out!
Our server was fantastic- blonde lady, very nice/happy. Originally she brought us water and said another server would be helping us (Robert? Guy with the dreads.) He never showed. We sat for almost 30 minutes with nothing. Robert looked over at us at least twice and never came by. Miscommunication? Don't know. Either way, our original seater served us and brought us a free shot. We left HER a 25% tip and somebody tell Robert to up his game.
Food ok (the brown-sugar dusting on the fries is a little weird), drinks didn't really pack much heft. 4 tiki drinks and a shot and I didn't have a buzz on....
We arrived on time for our reservation. No one greeted us. Had to chase down worker as he exited the kitchen. Music ridiculously loud. Yelling to him about reservation. He seated us and said a server would take our order. 12 minutes later and still no service so we left. Can’t comment on the food; never tried it. I will say the “tiki” drinks listed on the website were not available on the menu. Would never go back. Tiki fans, avoid!
We go to Hawaii a lot and when we return and miss the islands we come to Miss B, Love this place! Service was great and fast.. Maria our bar tender is super friendly and nice. Overall excellent place chill and hangout with greats friends and families.
I came here for brunch before taking my teenage kids to Belmont Park and was very impressed! Excellent food and drinks plus great service and a really fun vibe! Will definitely be back!
Eddie was awesome, he seemed to be the only person working that day. He covered the bar and all of the tables. We were very impressed with his service.
The food tasted amazing!
It was good
They said they didn't take Open Table, but found us a place to sit. Wish they would either take it or just not participate.
Food was good and reasonably priced for location. Fun place near the beach and good vibe.
I was unaware that they had TV's hanging from every surface they could find, and showed multiple NFL games on them during Sunday brunch, so, of course, you had drunken football fans screaming to outdo each other when their crappy team did something.
The DJ was great, but his music level was much too loud as everyone had to yell to hear those sitting at their tables, as is. Would bring earplugs if visiting again.
Best jerk chicken
Terrible place. They took our drinks order and food at the same time. 20 minutes later no sign of either. When we inquired they said the barman lost the ticket. No big deal. Drinks arrived 10 minutes later. 40 minutes after ordering food we asked about it. They then came back and said they didn’t have any fish left.....40 minutes after we ordered. Place wasn’t even that busy. Never go back.
BAD! Although it looks like you are reserving a table, when you arrive there are no reserved tables; it is all open seating- first come first serve! so forget about reservations.
We had a party of 6. After waiting 20 mins for a table to open, we had a very dirty table which never got wiped down. The food arrived completely wrong. Out of 6 orders; 1 order never showed up, 4 were completely wrong and 1 was correct. The manager gave us $17 off from a $120 bill. After describing the situation, he gave us a $40 “gift card”. NEVER GOING BACK!
Second time there service was bad first time worse the second time waitstaff is very apologetic but kitchen continually “loses tickets “ they claim to be a rum bar but drinks are poor at best.should probably offer only 2-3 choices as kitchen is dreadful and understaffed STAY AWAY
Great outdoor patio. Amazing jerk chicken
The wait staff was great. The weekday brunch menu was quite limited. I ordered the Mrs. B Scramble and it was good. Not great, but good and different. Drinks are pricey.
Such a fun atmosphere and great food.
The ceviche was amazing and so was the service. It was very loud but I didn't mind 😊
Brunch is always delicious and the best brunch cocktails! Try the coconut French toast or the jerk chicken and waffles!
My husband and I choose to come to Miss B's Coconut Club for our 15 year wedding anniversary. If your looking for a romantic ambiance then this is not a good choice. We were looking for more of a beachy tropical feel and that is exactly what we got. Both their food and service were excellent. I can't say enough good things about both. Our server was super sweet and even brought us over complimentary glasses of Sparkling Wine to celebrate our anniversary. I was super glad they did not sing (LOL)! The one complaint that I do have and the reason for only 4 stars instead of 5 were their alcoholic beverages. Each one of our tropical drink glasses was crammed completely full of crushed ice, so that as it melted it tasted more and more watered down with every sip. A good strong flavorful cocktail is #1 on my list of important's, so please go easy on the ice.
Yummy food, very laid back vibe. Our server was super nice, friendly and patient with our kids.
Good food, had a reservation and it still took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food.
The brunch food is good, the atmosphere is fun, although it is loud if you sit inside. Also, they dont take reservations for weekend brunch, so using Open Table was a waste of time.
Went for Fathers Day and it was awesome! We had 4 small kids and they were so accommodating and tolerant!
Overall, we weren’t impressed. The menus were so filthy that our hands were sticky from deciding what to eat. Everything we touched at the table was really sticky and dirty. The servers didn’t seem to be bothered by it. Servers were very friendly and overall service was good! Food was ok. We thought it was on the pricy side for what we got. The heat lamps didn’t work and it was windy and chilly.
Okay, if you have not been here there is a reason you aren’t hooking up on the first date!
Very noisy. Music loud. Food very expensive. Piña coladas not what they are supposed to be.
Only thing I liked was the waitress. She was very friendly and professional.
The food was delightful. The ambiance was awesome.
We stopped here for lunch on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend and it was packed but service was still quick and really friendly. I had a kale mimosa which was unexpectedly delicious, the food was more pubgrub/appetizerey. I would come back for drinks with a group, it was a fun atmosphere.
Drinks were fun & yummy, food was incredible! We got several things off the menu between our group. The house potatoes were a big hit!! We’ll go back again for sure!
I’ve been wanting to try Miss B’s for a while, and it was awesome! Love the colors and decor. Love the music that was playing. The jerk wings and sauces were very tasty, and the burger was delicious (if messy!). The virgin pina colada hit the spot...can’t wait to come back when I’m not pregnant and have some real cocktails with my wings!
We all five had different dishes and loved them all. The Cuban sandwich was great. Yummy salad and the flamingo shared drink was incredible.
The swans look disgusting inside. The waitress took forever and had legs that were a sight for sore eyes
I used OpenTable to set a reservation for a medium sized party (7 people) and when I arrived to the restaurant there was a “please seat yourself” sign. We mentioned something to our server and everyone seemed confused. We ended up finding a bar top space that fit our party, but I do wish we got a regular table. The menu had options for everyone in our party (meat eaters, vegetarians, gluten free). The drinks were delicious. I would definitely go back.
Bad service
Bad coffee food ok
Amazing!! Great for the bachelorette weekend- we went multiple times
Such a great experience! Great food, drinks, and service! Thank you!!
This was a fun spot to take customers. They really enjoyed the food and the wait staff was very knowledgable in menu and also suggestions for dessert in the area. Baked Bear...check that out too!
The food here was great and sweet fried pickles!! Awesome!
Food was amazing
Our service was outstanding and she was sweet and accommodating! Nice corner booth and really enjoyed
our time!
