My wife and I dined on February 15 to celebrate Valentine's. We were both very pleased with the restaurant. The steak and salmon were excellent. The atmosphere was nice. Our server, Alex B. did a great job attending us. This was our first time visiting this restaurant and we will definitely return.
We frequent Mis en Place often, as it is convenient for business lunches. The food, service and ambiance are always superb! Patrick is our server most of the time and he is wonderful...always anticipates our needs and takes great care of us and all of the guests he waits on. Highly recommend this spot!
We love Mise En Place! This is our second Valentines Day there, and it was better than we remembered. We started off with the Mise Old Fashioned, which was incredible (and we are big Old Fashioned/bourbon drinkers, so this is high praise), and an amazing cheese plate. Everything on the cheese board was delicious - the almonds, the HONEYYYYY, the raisins... everything. For a starter, we went with the Lobster Poutine (again, because its our favorite thing ever) and the Serrano Ham. The entrees were insane - I had the veal and my wife had the filet. Best filet I have ever tried (way better than Charleys/Berns). We spent a little over two hours feasting on all this deliciousness, and loved every minute of it.

This restaurant is our favorite in Tampa. From the warm and welcoming reception at the front desk to the last bite of dessert, this place never disappoints. The food and service are always excellent. We never have to worry about bringing out-of-town guests here. They all love this place!
I have eaten at Mise yearly for the past 4 years. This is by far the finest dining experience in Tampa. (Yes, even better than the big, "B.") Amazing appetizer and entree selections, along with the service is on par with any fine NYC dining establishment.
Fabulous! Jeannie was our waitress and she was just wonderful. I had Tandoori tofu that was delicious! I would go back just to order it again. Everything was so fresh. I wished I lived closer to Tampa!
We went to this restaurant because we've always enjoyed the food at the Tampa International Airport location. The food there is always exceptional! So... we thought to try the full-menu restaurant. The food was good, but didn't have the wow-factor we expected. However, dessert (the German Chocolate Panna Cotta) did have that wow factor. Excellent! Service was very good, and the restaurant itself is very nice (understated elegance).
You know when you go to a very expensive restaurant and the food is less than impressive? This is not that place. Every dish is worth the cost. Mise En Place is one of the Tampa Bays best fine dining experience. The servers are extremely knowledgeable in the dishes, the restaurant itself takes you somewhere else, the food is perfectly plated and the drinks are made to your exact specifications. I would go back to Mise en Place over many other places in the Tampa Bay Area because the experience was truly like no other. Don’t spend your money any where else if you are trying to have a special night with a loved one.
We have been dining at Mise en Place for many years and it feels like a great new experience every time. Food, service and drinks were perfect!

My friend and I went to Mise en Place for lunch to celebrate both our birthdays. We used to go for business lunch many years ago. We returned to find out that Mise en Place is still top notch and met all our expectations and beyond. Food was delicious from the appetizer Pulled Duck Poutine to the entrees Pan Seared Scallops and Fish of the Day to the desserts Creme Brûlée and Chocolate Pecan Toffee Mousse. Our server Kelly M was very pleasant and attentive! Thank you Mise en Place for a wonderful birthday lunch dining experience!
It was our 53 rd wedding anniversary and we wanted a special place to celebrate. We found it at Mis En Place
Consistently delicious and creative menu. We are never disappointed! We love the fact we can actually have a conversation and hear each other, what a novel idea!!! The servers are well trained and very attentive...we like trying all the new restaurants but LOVE the reliable “tried and true” ones!

The service was outstanding.
Outstanding as usual but I had two qualms this time, which I never do but the chocolate Napoleon dessert I ordered, the puff pastry was burnt the first time it came out and the second it was a little less burnt. Puff pastry on a Napoleon should be a golden brown not a dark brown and never have the taste of being burnt! The second qualm I had this time was the server, he did not properly speak English therefore it was really hard to understand what he was saying or order from him, and he wasn't very welcoming, Hi welcome have you dined with us, or how are you liking your meal. He did not do these simple courtesy's that a server should be doing throughout the night. Otherwise everything else was great as usual, I could eat about 10 of those Foie Gras dishes, absolutely divine!
The food and service was great. It’s perfect for a romantic dinner. My only issue is the seating. The corner booths are awkward and uncomfortable. Chairs would be a big improvement.

Food and service were excellent! This restaurant is a long-time favorite of ours. It has never disappointed. We like bringing our out-of-town guest here, because we can be assured there will be no glitches.
Dinner was delicious, especially the Fried Green Tomato salad, and the Venison and Beef Tenderloin entrees, though the pretty white asparagus was undercooked. Tables were full, so apparently this is a popular place. Wine list was well-curated, but there was no one to answer questions about the wine, and our server was either too busy or untrained. He was the only downer of the evening, and kind of spoiled it. He served and cleared the courses, but mostly just ignored us and the table service. Luck of the draw, I guess?
I took my 3 daughters before a show at the Straz. Our dining experience was the perfect way to start a night of the theater. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and appreciated the attentive service. Thank you for a fun and delicious dinner out with my girls.
This is the second time I have been to this restaurant and again the food was excellent, but I have to particularly complement the waiter. He was attentive, accommodating, and very pleasant and made this business dinner a pleasure.
Tampa's--and perhaps Florida's--best restaurant stays at the top of its game, even during lunch. Chef isn't afraid to stretch his legs, such as on the Carolina Reaper aioli on the flank steak sandwich.
Food was amazing just as we had hoped. A little dark and made it hard to read the menu but my vision isn’t the greatest...LOL. We will definitely be back as there is so much more I want to try.
From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with a smile. The menu was superb! We started with the beef stew, it was so good and comforting! The ceviche was best we ever had! The red snapper and tuna were excellent. Not to mention we had the excellent lobster mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts. For desert the french press coffee for two and creme brûlée. The service was wonderful and the chef and owner made us feel so welcomed with the complimentary tastings.. I highly recommend this place , we can not wait to return with friends and family!

Annette (server) was very professional, knowledgeable, & right on point with recommendations .She was Johnny on the spot and a delight.Appetizers and entrees were throughly enjoyed. Highly recommend for that special night out,
Food was good (lamb and veal) however I’ve never heard of adding canned corn to lobster bisque. Waiter didn’t mention it was a non-traditional lobster bisque. Overall, Waiter was horrible and was absolutely tone deaf to dining party desires. He saw we were a party of two and came off as disinterested leaning toward focusing on the two larger parties. It was my Wife’s birthday, noted on reservation, nothing done on that front. Spent a lot of time on wine menu, waiter came by three times asking if we were ready, I said no. I asked if they had a sommelier and he said yes and next time we come into to let him know we wanted to see him?? Hello never heard of having to make an appointment to buy expensive wine? Anyway food above average, service stunk. Odd because Saturday night and restaurant was half empty. Much rather spend time and money at Edison, Ulele and CW Gin Joint.
