   It took awhile for our food to start arriving. Service was spotty. We noted some food restrictions in the reservation and the server kept forgetting about one of them and recommended food that a diner in our party couldn't have. They were not particularly knowledgeable about ingredients in the dishes and so had a hard time providing guidance on dishes we could order. We felt the meal was extremely overpriced for what we got and the experience we had. There is much better Japanese food in the city for comparable or even lower prices.

   Excellent food and great service. But it was painfully noisy and the lighting on our table was poor. Door open to the terrace allowed cold wind to periodically blow into the dining room. If I go back I will sit at the sushi bar where the light is better and where I hopefully can have a conversation without shouting. I know restaurants like to keep the music loud because they believe it sells more drinks. Somehow restaurants in Europe and New York seem to manage to thrive without resorting to this tactic.

   Way overpriced considering food and service. I had thought Miru would be a fine dining experience but it just not there at this point. Beautiful patio overlooking the river and lake but that area tends to be in a wind tunnel.

    Darling! Please join us, and welcome our neighbor- Miru to LSE. We had lunch there yesterday at 3pm. It was only the Bar menu that was available. Food and drinks were really good, and the service was excellent. Our host- Jonathan Flores made our experience a solid 5 stars. We will definitely return! And they are pet friendly! Thank you!

    It may be because they have just opened, but the service was extremely sub-par. We waited a ridiculous amount of time for anything, even to have our waters refilled. The food was lackluster and uninspiring.

    Miru's food is basically tapas style, so small portions. I went for my birthday with my husband and we ordered about 8 things off the menu and was stuffed by the end. Our faves were the waygu tartare, pork belly, and the duck yakisoba; the duck was a surprisingly big portion compared to everything else. Overall, it's a great place to splurge with a stunning view that's perfect for a summer date.

    One of the best views of any restaurant and beautifully designed, Miru is a great addition to Chicago's sushi scene. As they grow, I hope they will expand the menu. The whole snapper was excellent, as was the hamachi. The terrace overlooking the river and navy pier is going to be tough to beat this summer. I wish the team great success!

    Fantastic experience at Miru with some friends. We had a table on the patio with perfect weather and a 270 degree view. I can't even remember everything we had but we tried a bit of everything. Great textures, great seasoning, really nice, fresh seafood. Fantastic service from Matthew and the rest of the bussers. It wasn't quite fine dining but definitely upscale casual. Would come back again. Cons: a bit difficult to find the restaurant. We had to ask several staff to help, and they gladly walked us across the building, and escorted us to the elevator for the restaurant.

    Absolutely impeccable service, food, ambience, and overall experience! You guys knocked it out the park! So very well done!! Where do I start. Upon arrival, Luke at the front desk greeted me with a stunning smile and was an overall gem the entire time I was there. Walked me to my table, came back to check on us…just a joy! Then, our server Jared was truly outstanding!!! He was one of the best servers I have ever had and I have dined out A LOT!!! We loved him so much we wish he could’ve joined us for dinner!!! As we dined, one of the partners Scott came by. He checked to see how we were doing, and gave us his card. Literally every staff member was simply superb!!! Now let’s talk about the food and cocktails. OMG so delicious!! Everything was to die for. I can’t leave out the spectacular views! This is my new favorite restaurant in Chicago. I can’t wait to book my next reservation and return. You guys are truly 5-stars!!!

    It was one of the most exquisite dining experiences we have had in Chicago. The food was out of this world. We particularly loved the hamachi, Japanese cucumbers, cod and triple tuna roll. And famous pastry chef Juan Gutiérrez created the most perfect dessert menu. We couldn’t pick a favorite because we loved them all. The sesame mochi, Crème brûlée and chocolate soufflé tart were outstanding! Also, the service was top notch. Our waiter Brandon was very attentive, informative and charismatic.     Poor service. Extremely rushed. Sommelier clearly mandated to up-sale wines without any adequate justification or listening to guests. Poor table location by the patio door. Not impressed but for the location.

    There were a few glitches as the kitchen and staff try to settle in just a week after opening but it was a lovely meal, attentive service, and a fantastic view above the Chicago River with the sun setting behind the Wrigley Building.

    Run, don’t walk, to Miru and have yourself one of the most memorable dining experiences. Josh at the bar and Jonathan at the terrace were amazing! Jonathan is so knowledgeable about food and wine and just so delightful. Everything we tried was delicious, the sushi and the rice with the wild mushrooms were my favorite. Excellent wine selection, if you don’t know what to choose - ask Jonathan! The ambiance is great and the views are unmatched. Can’t wait to go back!

    I’ve been twice now and every dish is unexpected heaven. The decor is exquisite, high-end yet homey. The staff and service is beyond. It’s by far the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. The broccolini gomae and eggplant are a must try.

    Food was good, not great, for the price and location/view. For a restaurant inside a 5-star hotel though, the service was sub par. Pacing was really bad. The entire late lunch took about 2.5 hours! (Yeah and about $240 for 3 people, but that included drinks.) Worst of all, it was so hard to catch a server and the place wasn’t even crowded. I don’t think anyone was dining indoors; all guests were out in the patio. I estimate 8-10 tables of 2-4 pax each at most. The place is definitely far from what you would classify as busy, so perhaps they were under staffed. The way food was coming out, you feel like only one person was working in the kitchen. There was nobody to check on you. Well, there was a elderly man who looked like the manager but he only approached tables that didn’t have Asians in them. Like hello, we speak English you know. Don’t worry. We’re used to that. Haha. But yeah, food is as expected. Service is poor.
