Miro's Cantina Mexicana is located at 184 Rose Street in Edinburgh's New Town. The restaurant is 10-15 minutes walk away from major attractions like Scottish National Gallery and Edinburgh Castle. Waverley station can be reached on foot in a little over 10 minutes. Since 1991, Miro's Cantina Mexicana has served zesty Mexican cuisine to locals and tourists alike. Its home-cooked dishes exhibit the piquancy typical of Mexican cuisine, customised according to modern tastes. The extensive menu combines ingredients sourced from Mexico with fresh, local produce from Scotland. Shots of traditional tequila can be ordered to complement the food.

                                                                                                                      Decent food, great little restaurant, thought it would feel intimate, but instead felt very rushed to order, food arrived quickly, in and out in 45 minutes! Great if you hate hanging around, but don't expect to make an evening of it.

                                                                                                                      Wonderful restaurant with lovely attentive staff. Authentic Mexican food was delicious and had lots to choose from on the menu. Book a table so not to miss out. Highly recommend.

                                                                                                                      Decided to have the garlic prawns as a shared starter, prawns were very big and plentiful. With 2 main courses of chicken fajitas and one of the house mexican rice with chorizo and seafood dishes, we wished we had skipped on the starter. Great service and staff and with a bottle of house wine and service charge, still just over £90, great value for a capital city. A few years since we had visited but a well worth return👍

                                                                                                                      Always a lovely venue and food is fresh and tasty. Bit disappointed in our margarita this time, felt like a mix, rather than spectacular version we used to get there.
