Miro
It was oKay
Valentine’s Day pre fixe menu.
Delicious.
Valentines Day was a hit!
My date and I enjoyed a delicious meal for Valentines Day. We liked the atmosphere and the music. Our four-course meal was wonderful. But service was mediocre. Then Miro built the tip right into the bill. No choice. That is not a tip; it is a hidden service charge.
Never had been and wanted to try. Super cute and great ambiance
The food and service were good, in fact, the food is consistently good, but it's quite noisy and therefore challenging to carry on a conversation.
the squid ink pasta and drinks that we got were really good, our friend had the lamb chop and said it was phenomenal. Also recommend the cheese plate. Ambiance was lively but not overly loud, I like that you can carry a conversation without raising your voice. Over all was a pleasant experience and will return. Definitely check out the downstairs bar!
Nice atmosphere and consistently good food, but very noisy.
Had a business lunch here. Good menu and food choices. Pretty interior and good seating space. Food was good, but not great otherwise I would give 5 stars.
I have been to Miro several times, and in the past, it has always been amazing. Unfortunately, this time, the food was just so-so, and the item I ordered had issues several time (main was out after ordering, then next dish one side couldn't be done, and the next was under cooked and the one after that did not seem right.) While the server was friendly, she was not attentive enough, so it took forever to get help. Three of us, and the entree for mine also came out nearly 10 minutes after the other two, and of course, with the issues, meant I was eating after the other two were done.
It’s a nice restaurant with a whiskey bar downstairs. The food is just so so. We ordered a lot of dishes and everything tasted bland or more correctly - like the generic versions of the plates. I have eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants in Asia - and there is something so I flavorful about them. The food looks great - but it’s some bland version of what Italian is.
We went downstairs for a nightcap. We sat at a table and were never approached by a waiter or bartender. So we left and went elsewhere.
They need to up their game: flavor! How can you order a Bolognese pasta, and a pepperoni pizza and have them taste exactly the same - without spices. Pepperoni had no flavor and the cheese was bland
This place is ideal for small groups of 4-8 as the shared plates are delicious and extremely varied. We all loved the grilled octopus but all were very good. We shared a mushroom and truffle pizza which was nice but very light on the truffle flavor... as in none. Still a nice pizza. The rigatoni’ with short rib was a real crowd pleaser as were all of the desserts. Our waitress was wonderful and her suggestions were spot on. Good energy and vibe. The downstairs whiskey bar is not to be missed either before or after dinner.
This was our second visit and we still love it. The menu has an interesting selection and the staff are friendly. Next time we'll visit the whiskey bar downstairs too.
Took a client, was great atmosphere, perfect noise level, delicious food and drinks
I don't like to give bad reviews just because I had a bad experience as sometimes things happens. There was 5 of girls dinning we all ordered at the same time but only 3 of the meals came out. We had to ask the waitress where our meals were. She came back and told us there was an issue with the printer and they missed our meal. They apologized , filled out wine glass for free, and comped out two meals. We did get our two meals when everyone was done, but I think they handled the situation graciously and I appropriated the honesty. The food was great and I loved the atmosphere.
The food and the place is good. The only complain I have is the noise level since we were seated with a large group celebrating birthdays. They can probably put them at the back.
Good Italian inspired good in DTLA. Some accoustic treatment of the room would have made the space less noisy. The grilled octopus was a table favorite as was the delicious homemade lasagna. The Scallop and Pancetta dish was uninspired and a qee bit disappointing given the level of the octopus and lasagna.
Pizzas were very good
Salads were fine
Nice place, nice service, food was really good.
We had dinner fairly early on New Years Eve. We thought the food was great pasta bolognese, persimmon salad and butterscotch dessert. The pasta is made in-house and all the dishes were shareable. The wine selection was top notch-selected by a talented sommelier and even though the restaurant got busier as the evening got later our service was attentive. Miro is across from the Intercontinental hotel so an easy, delicious choice for out of towners.
Great food fun place with an excellent whisky lounge. Dining area is a bit noisy but food is awesome!!!
Fun place to meet up with friends for great drinks and food. Wonderful atmosphere up and downstairs and phenomenal staff.
Third time dining here. Enjoyed it each time. Great staff, food, and setting. So nice without the pretense you experience with so many LA restaurants now! Love it!
The service was very good, but was disappointed in the food. My friend and I each had the rigatoni that was recommended by the server, but it was bland and the pasta was overcooked.
I've good experiences in the past, and will try Miro again, but yesterday was not the best of experiences.
I would have given a 5 star but we went when the restaurant was completely booked. Therefore, we had to sit in the bar section on high bar table. We didn't like that. If they had told us this before reservation, we would have made other arrangements for dinner.
Our server and the food were great, otherwise.
Close to Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Love Miro every time!! Wonderful food , ambience and service!
Everyone loved!!
This restaurant was so loud that I could not even carry on a conversation with my date. The food was very average and the seating was terrible. I will never go here again, a huge disappointment.
Holiday lunch
Noise level was loud making it difficult to hear my colleague.
I've been here twice and the service was extremely slow both times. I sat for 30 minutes before a waiter came to take my order. The food took forever (about 40 minutes for appetizers) and it was cold! They did accommodate by bringing fresher food for free but even that wasn't good.
This is a gorgeous restaurant but the service just doesn't live up to the ambiance.
The atmosphere was really cool, the food was pretty good but the waitress sucked, she was awful and we were 1 of 3 tables she had so I don’t know why our service was so bad. It was also my boyfriends birthday and when we told her for dessert she had an attitude and complained to another server about It. I’d give this place 1 more chance
Overpriced, food was cold and pasta was under cooked, and service was less than average.
The food was absolutely amazing. We were a little disappointed because we ordered the lasagna and spaghetti, and the waitress failed to mention how long the lasagna would take to bake. I was finished with my hand cut spaghetti by the time our lasagna came to the table. I also received my dessert before our dinner plates were removed.... Just little things like this really make or break a dining experience.
The food was mediocre but the worst part was truly the service. Hipster Italian place with terrible customer service and flavorless food (forces add a ton of paran to everything).
We eat at Miro 3-4 times a year. And decided to got to Dia De Los Muertos event as well. Amazing food amazing staff!
Nice looking restaurant and good service. 3 of our 4 dinners were good. One however was not good, Octopus was burned, not grilled, and much too spicy for my taste. Peaches(,in the peaches/burrata dish) we're not ripe.
Good business lunch spot.
We were in town for a special event and had the BEST time at Miro. Thank you for everything. I will definitely be coming back!!
The food was good, although they skimped on the protein and loaded up on the sides. I love the squid ink and lobster pasta, but all others were just okay. The part that gets me is how it takes over 45 minutes for food to come out. We ran out of water several times and the waitress took a while to notice. We stayed for almost 2 hours, and not by choice.
