Great love to come here
Great service and food...nice window seat too. Would go back when in the area
Great view, right on the water. Very good value! Extensive menu..
Beautiful view of the ocean, nice live piano music, wonderful service and fabulous food. It was a great night!
Great location. Right on the ocean overlooking Half Moon Bay. Good fish tacos. The ceviche was a bit disappointing But the place at lunch time was extremely loud. Free valet parking.
This place is always a pleasure to dine . The staff is always wonderful and a great place to watch the ocean roll in and out.
My favorite seaside restaurant!! Food is always good especially their seafood chowder. Great for special occasions. Perfect when the weather is sunny and you can sit outside and watch the waves crash and then take a leisurely walk down the promenade. Always worth the drive from San Jose.
Great service. The kind of food you would expect on an airplane. Boring. Terrible food drowned in sauce. Never again.
All of our out-of-town guest look forrward to dining at the MIRAMAR as a special treat.
Historic 100 year old restaurant right across the small road with the breakwater on other side. Great ambiance and service. Very good seafood. We had an early dinner and got a corner window seat for the sunset. My prawn carbonara was good, my wife loved her clam chowder and garlic cheese bread. We will return.
Hostess was kinda rude. Showed up for our
Went to Miramar for Sunday brunch with a group of dear friends. The seafood was absolutely wonderful with Dungeness crab in season - crabcakes Benedict and blackened Mahi Mahi with lump crab meat. Our waiter was very attentive and prompt and the view is breathtaking. Tough to beat that combination!
Great place right in front of the ocean. The view was fantastic and the place had a great vibe. We went at 5Pm so we could see the sunset. Good call! recommend you try it. the food is good the server we had was fantastic -- the pace was perfect and it was a fun dinner
Love Miramar! We eat out on the patio at least once a week. Service is great and everyone is super friendly. We had the shrimp scampi it was delish! The sauce has such a great balance of garlic and butter . We ordered the apple pie and ice cream for dessert. The apple pie tasted like it just came out of the oven. Love the rustic out door patio if your in the area give it a try you won’t be disappointed 😀
Lovely evening. Thanks!
The experience was great as usual. We love the view, the only thing I would recommend is more options on the menu.
I took a friend for her birthday lunch. We had a fabulous table by the window, and we viewed the ocean. The sunlight hit our table and made us Cody during our lunch. Our server was kind andvattentive. The food (crab salad and crab melt) were so delicious.
Beautiful view. Great food!
Very good food. Beach front atmosphere. Although I frequent those times that offer specials (especially the prime rib), I do occasionally order from the menu and have not been disappointed once.
Whether entertaining guests, or an evening out for "date night," the MIRAMAR is our #1 choice.
We enjoyed a very delicious meal with ocean window seats, great ambiance and a very attentive excellent waiter. Highly recommended!
Great view. Excellent food. Very tasty bloody Mary. Highly recommended. Only complaint - parking is difficult. They have complimentary valet but the guy was totally incompetent.
I usually love this place but the last couple times the food was disappointing, and the very last time this past weekend it was surprisingly bad. The artichoke cakes appetizer were really mushy, unlike what we're used to with these. The hamburger was not done very well which I could have requested change but didn't have time, and the coleslaw was unusually void of much taste. My niece got fish and chips and thought the fish was a little chewy, the chaser salad was very good.
Service was excellent and as always the view is spectacular and the main reason I would continue to recommend though I'd probably recommend something simple like appetizers.
We ordered 2 filet mignon plates both medium. One was done way past medium well and way too much char, the other was bleeding. Both had what seemed like no seasoning of any kind. When I'm paying this high price for a filet, I would have at least expected them to be cooked the way I ordered, or at minimum, both cooked the same. Service was very good and the location can't be beat, but very unhappy with the meal.
Two couples enjoyed a pre-theater dinner. Friendly waiter, good wine and delicious meal. Incomparable ocean view. Marvelous pianist- always great. Diners can count on a comfortable ambiance.
This is a great restaurant with a great view of the ocean. Terry Disley was also excellent on the piano and very friendly. Our server was a little inattentive, but it didn't take away from the experience too much.
We has the Thursday night special (surf & turf) it was very good. The scenic view was beautiful.
Only complaint is it gets quite noisey and hard to hear Terry at the piano.
We had the Thursday night special. The lobster was so sweet. The steak was perfectly done even the mashed potatoes and green beans were great.
Excellent experience! Watched the sunset over a glass of wine and live piano at the bar. Can be crowded, so best to make reservations. Definitely will come back!
My wife and I just ate there today, mid afternoon. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, which was good and we felt like we were off to a promising start. However, we both ordered the lobster tail sandwich and it became very clear what we were served was not lobster, it did not have the texture of lobster, nor the delicate flavor. Whatever the white fish was it was smothered or steeped in some kind of pepper soaked marinate that just was overwhelming and lingering. The desserts were fine, and the sorbet I had alleviated the awfulness of that sauce. But only for a time, as I sit here writing this I can still taste it, yuck. An awful lot of nerve charging $27 a piece for something like that. The service was fine, and I tipped the young waitress, not her fault. I paid the full bill, but we'll never go there again.
Booked it from Colorado for Valentine's Day based on reviews, and weren't a bit disappointed. Drove down from Fisherman's Wharf mid-afternoon, easy drive, had a window table overlooking the bay. Beautiful location to watch the sunset, outstanding service (thanks Valerie!), excellent food, no rush, no pressure, just a great evening.
My husband and I have been going to the Miramar to celebrate occasions for the past 37 years and will continue. We love the view, food and service!!!
Love the dessert sorbet with white chocolate wonderful
great location with ocean view, great cozy atmosphere, nice menu
We love miramar and the food was delicious!! The ambience can’t be beat . The only thing I can say about the service was I wish our server checked on us more
Hard to find...even with GPS. But worth the search. Son had the calamari steak. He woofed it down and licked the plate. (No, he didn't do that, but he did say it was good.) I had the pepper steak (au poivre). Best ever, and that's one of my favorite dishes. It was very tender and basted in a flavorful sauce that was tasty. Portions were full, neither of us had room for desert.
Highly recommended, but figure out how to get there before leaving the house.
Always a great time. Food is excellent and the setting could not be better. love the dog friendly patio and the people watching from the windows with the ocean just beyond. Magical location
Love the ambience! Terrific view of the ocean. Always a “go to” spot to dine in Half Moon Bay.
You need to train the hostess Inside resturaunt were 2 girls, they look very unhsopy and had a rude attitude! They need to be trained on been Cortouse , Welcoming , carry a smile and be approachable! They ruined our mood for our Valentine lunch. I did not complain and report this to the manager because I didn’t want to make abig deal in front of my date. But definitely we will not return their and will advise our family and friends not go as well.
