About Miramar Beach Restaurant
The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and décor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

Miramar Beach Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately, our food was not good. I got sick later that day. I wanted a vegan entree, or at least a vegetarian entree which surprisingly, they did not have on the menu. So I opted for the Baby Artichoke Cakes. They were very oily and started feeling sick shortly after our luncheon.
This restaurant is right on the ocean and has great views, it's a shame they don't offer other choices for their entrees besides fish and meat. My choice was an appetizer since everything else had some sort of fish or meat in it.
Never Go Wrong with The Miramar!
This is one of our go-to places for special times like birthdays, Valentines, heck, even Ground Hog Day! It's nice but not TOO fancy, and has a comfy feel that instantly makes you feel right at home. There's a really good pianist at times, ocean side seating (ask for it when you make a reservation) and a very pleasant outdoor dining area for when the weather's good. Other than the Ritz Carleton (five miles south), this is by far our favorite oceanside spot, and way less expensive than the Ritz. Definitely worth a try if you've never been there before and are looking for a great ocean side spot with a super view and solid food, ambiance, and service.
Beautiful view, but food was amazingly average , closer to disappointing. My salmon was cooked perfectly, but the mashed potatoes were terrible, obviously scooped out of a pot that they for got to heat thoroughly. Green beans squeaked. Gross. Caesar salad was covered in something closer to buttermilk dressing than ceasar. My date got pasta and it was a very bland Alfredo with a small amount of seafood. Overall, mediocre. Won't return
I would not recommend this restaurant for anything. Outside of our waiter Claudio and the view, the experience was terrible. The drinks were not good (my husband ordered a margarita that had no flavor) the green beans with his steak were overcooked and my shrimp scampi was lack luster. It was a complete fail.
This was an Open Table Christmas Eve dinner reservation for 3 pm. It was not indicated anywhere that 3pm was the very last res time and that they were closing then. The Valet, the Bartender, and the Wait Staff all asked with a degree of irritation if we had a res and some just said they were closed. The Hostess was very nice however. Upon trying to enjoy our holiday dinner, everyone was rather pushy about us finishing up and leaving so they could go home. Understandable on a holiday, but not the way to treat customers. Service is usually very good, but was marginal on this occasion. Put a bit of a downer on this special meal.
The food and service were wonderful as always! Points off for noice as a very loud part of about 25 were seated on our side of the room even though the other side was pretty empty. It made it very hard for us and other diners on our side of the room to talk during the last part of our meal.

We were there for a late dinner to celebrate our one year anniversary. We sat on the patio where we could see and hear the ocean. The ambience was perfect. My filet mignon was cooked exactly as ordered, super tender and delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his peppered steak too. The vegetables were great, still a little crisp, not mushy. The drinks were on the strong side, but no complaints about that. We would definitely go back if we're in the area.
I love Miramar -- the setting is perfect with a view of the Pacific from practically every table in the place. The food is very good, and the service is always attentive, but never hovering. My friends had never been there before, and exclaimed after we left, "how come I never knew about this wonderful place before?"
