This restaurant is so special! The food is 5 star! The wait staff is awesome and the atmosphere is a dream. We dined all around the island and this was hands down our favorite experience.
Everything was amazing. Great view, delicious food and great personable service from our waitress and bartender.
The service at Mirador was fantastic. The staff was attentive, friendly and accommodating. And the ambience and location are great, too. We felt the food was ok, but not worth the price we paid. The lobster ravioli was good but everything else was too salty and not the quality we expect for the price we paid.
I was looking so forward to dinner here on our vacation, the Ambiance is absolutely beautiful the wine was amazing. is was a quiet romantic setting.
But, they bring you water, and charge you for it.. 16.00 that was not brought to or attention until the bill came.
The meal was basic at best.. ibgotbthe lamb chops.. the silver skin was still attached, no choice of side.. no salad, or soup, they do bring you some "Johnny cake rolls, witch were very dry and tasteless "
For the price of the food here, I really do feel like there should be a variety of small dishes. I've been in the restaurant industry for 30 plus years with fine dining and I'm very disappointed.. one good thing I can say, I'd that the short ribs were very good.. although for 50+ dollars you should get more than 3 Oz of meat.
My husband wanted the 10oz prime rib that was on special that night, but the server talked him out of it.. we will be back to this beautiful island, but next time, we will definitely try out one of the other high end restaurants instead.
Chef Benny’s restaurant was highly recommended but incredibly disappointing. Wagyu meatballs only fair. Lobster ravioli seemed gummy and uncooked. Salmon dry and bland. Will not return.
We absolutely loved everything, especially the steel drum player!
We had Sunday brunch there. The service, food and views we top notch! The steel drum entertainment was an added nice touch. We plan to go back for dinner in anticipation of another fabulous meal experience.
Service was great and food was well seasoned and tatsed great!!
This was a very expensive dinner for our family of 5 but was a wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal and probably some of the best we have ever had in terms of quality. The view was amazing. Worth every penny.
Great food, amazing views
To be honest we were expecting a bit more. Wagyu meatballs and lobster ravioli were tasty. The lamb chops were on the small side and a bit fatty. Only offered 1 dessert. If dessert is limited there should be at least 2-3 options. Not everyone loves cheese cake and I'm one of them.
Very poor trained staff and service. There were several tables on the night that we went and the staff was unable to manage them. We sat down and waited about 20 minutes. Waitresses kept avoiding eyes contact and when called they kept signaling “will be right with you”. Unfortunate amateurish behaviors and embarrassing for the management of this restaurant. We walked out after about 30 minutes of nothingness. Avoid this place if you don’t want to waste your time. We went to Pangea Terra Table after and had good food with professional service.
The worst dinner experience ever. Service bad, drinks very bad (Old fashioned watery, first Prosecco ever that was not sparkling) and food terrible (all food was bland. The Crème brûlée was not even done). At this price point, there is no way to justify this mess
I really liked having dinner at Mirador. First, we had a nice table overlooking the wall. It was very pretty. The mussels were really tasty and would highly recommend them. I would skip the lobster bisque though. The seafood stew was delicious but the lamb just okay. The service was nice and the wine great.
Incredible views! Food was good, not great. Service was good not great. I’d go back for the view for sure.
Great food and view. Live music was nice, unexpected.
The food just wasn't very good. 3 people in my party got sick. We are the type of people to finish our whole plate. many plates were left full and did not request a to go box.
Our servers were awesome! The place is absolutely stunning.
The stairs could use some extra lighting.
We felt this restaurant was over priced. With so many great places to eat that are much more reasonable, we will not be returning
Disappointing food. Please avoid eating here even if you are starving.
The service staff were outstanding. But the food was just bad. The mussels tasted old fishy and oversalted. The lamb chops came out raw and were 99% big hunks of fat with a tiny bite of actual lamb on each chop. Once it was refired to right temp the lamb tasted very good but hardly enough meat to justify the price tag of $42. The best bite I had was the mixed green salad because how can you screw that up.
Service was amazing! The view was beautiful
Disappointed, sorry. The wahoo was way too dry- should have said something but it took a long time for food to come and didn’t want to wait longer. Meatball pasta was just ok. Service very slow on a Saturday night and not that busy/ they did say they were short staffed. Atmosphere was nice.
It isn’t open until november. We drove 45 minutes to get there to find out the owner is in Puerto Rico until november
THEY WERE CLOSED!! Open Table confirmed my reservation, we got all dressed up, drove there and the guard says “ummm, they are closed until Nov”!! Who goes away and doesn’t put some info on their website or shut down their reservation system??
don’t even go it’s closed
Wonderful evening at Mirador. Our waiter made sure everything was perfect. Great view and great food.
Service was slow, the lobster bisque was so salty we sent it back, and must have been the bus boys playlist that was loud provocative rap music not appropriate for children. Do not go here. The menu looks good on paper but does not delivery. I’d be ashamed if I were the owner.
Food was incredible and the meal was perfectly paced. Well done!
There was live music and the view was outstanding. They were a little busy for the amount of staff they had so it did take a little long for us to be seated even with a reservation. The food tasted good, but was a little expensive for what it was. Whoever the mimosas by the bottle were definitely worth the price. The waiter was very friendly. Overall it was a good experience.
The food was good, but the prices were very high. Service was average at best. We were told we had to make reservations, but there were more empty tables than occupied. Overpriced
We were there 4years ago and had a wonderful experience. This time it was only average.
Perfect place for a great brunch! Great food, mimosas, service and views! Tables are nice spaced.
We enjoyed our time here and the food was good, but our service was extremely inefficient (and this was not the first nice place we'd eaten on the island). For the price point the music was more like a night club...not soft, low volume music....at one point it turned off so someone in our party took their phone out so we could have some music and without commercials. An establishment such as this needs to reevaluate a few things to continue to attract guests. The food was good, but due to being served (pre-owned) wine (which apparently a percentage was taken off full price) , slow(er) service, and while we're in the Islands, not a lot of breeze or air circulation throughout the restaurant. Chef Benny's food was good, but unfortunately, that's just part of the whole experience.
If you are looking for a beautiful view in a tranquil setting, this is the place for you. It looked like you were in a tropical paradise.
The food was delicious and the view was amazing!
Our server Q did a wonderful job with helping us celebrate our friends birthday
Arrived in t
We had reservations but when we arrived they had given our table to another group. They really didn’t even think that was a big deal. They set us up outside after wiping off all the tables from the rain. We still got sprinkled on during the night. It took 2 hours to get our food. We never got our appetizers. We asked for silver ware at least 8 times, asked for wine glass for the bottle of wine 5 times. We fed our toddler with our fingers because couldn’t get any utensils!!!
Food was good when it finally arrived although the potatoes were cold. When we got the bill, they’d overcharged us by $140 for the bottle of wine we ordered. Worst service ever!!! Had a $1000 bill, but evening was ruined by the service & missing items. Would never go here again!!!! Unbelievable how bad it was given the cost of the meal!!!
This place has potential. Unfortunately, it seems they are content to rely on their location, the enticing offerings on their printed menu, and extensive wine list(s) to fulfill that promise, or even come close.
We made our rez (party of 5) for Thursday night because we were worried they might be out of items by the weekend. But after we were handed menus, we were informed they were out of 2 signature dishes, the scallops and wagyu short ribs.
The major complaint about the food was that several of the dishes were very oversalted. There are only 2 options if you want steak: a 12-oz Wagyu NY strip for $130 and a 6-oz Wagyu tenderloin for $110. My better half went for the tenderloin, which was tasty but about as thin as a waffle. The mahi was dry and overcooked. My Wagyu meatballs with fettucine, pomodoro sauce and arugula were also tasty, except there was no pomodoro sauce, no arugula, and spaghetti instead of fettucine.
I ordered a $100 bottle of Australian shiraz, which should have been decanted, and since a couple in our party did not care for it, I wanted to order a less expensive bottle of Pinot Noir, having noted there were a number of reasonably priced bottles ($40-$50) on the wine list. So I asked to see the wine list again, and I was handed a completely different one, which listed my same bottle of shiraz at $114 and lacked most of the $40 bottles on the first list I saw.
We skipped desert. The final bill came to over $700, including one round of drinks and a 20% gratuity tacked on for parties of 5 or over. This despite the fact at 1) our server disappeared for long stretches of time; 2) the place wasn't overcrowded; and 3) we were seated at 7 p.m. and, because it took so long between servings, we did not get out of there until 10:30!!!
Given the huge anticipation we all had looking forward to what promised to be an exciting culinary experience, I must say that this was one of the most disappointing meals of my life.
