French American
At lunch, our menu is inspired by the culture of refined Parisian Brasseries updated with local and seasonal ingredients. Dinner will emulate a modern expression of the global influence on contemporary French cuisine that is designed to transport diners through evoking emotional connections. Dessert is meant to be a joyful celebration of the shared memories of our Pastry Chef Zoe Ezrailson, alumni Tammy Saunders and Jerry Zawacki .

Guests can anticipate a whimsical approach to dining that is meant to convey stories and memories that allow them to transcend the boundaries of the dining room. Both services are connected through Executive Chef Keith Bombaugh and Jenn Knowles; experiences of growing up in New England, as well as a strong connection to the mid-Atlantic and our culinary travels beyond.

My husband and I went to Mirabelle to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We made reservations for this special night on advanced based off a recommendation from a Sommelier at another restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully!!! We were seated in a beautiful booth that allowed us to view the entire restaurant. When we opened our menus and saw that it said Happy First Anniversary we knew we were really in for a treat. We chose a bottle of wine off a recommendation from our waiter Jean Paul. He really listened to what we were looking for and made a prefect recommendation. The food was absolutely stellar!!! The amuse bouche was a whimsical play on peanut butter and jelly. The rest of the menu was well crafted and flowed from one dish to the next. When the evening was over our coats were brought to us, and they rolled up the specially printed menus to give us as a momento. Truly a wonderful evening that we won't forget.

This was a fantastic experience! I took my husband and my parents for my husband's birthday and everything was top notch! The food, service, drinks, and ambiance were fabulous. The 3 course + dessert is more than enough food. I had read previously that some people thought the portions were small and I think that's nonsense. We are big eaters and we all left completely satisfied. Everything about this experience was memorable and we all left so happy.

Our reservation was 8:00 on Friday night and the restaurant was 3/4 empty when we arrived. Even though online it said there was only a 6:15 or 8:30 reservation. The food and drinks were overpriced for what you received. We waited over 30 minutes to get our drinks before ordering dinner. The food was mediocre at best and not memorable. For 4 people we had 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, 1 dessert and drinks and the bill was $400. Not worth it and would not go back.

My wife and I were in DC for some tourist stuff and a wedding. We ended up eating at Mirabelle 3 times for bar food or dinner. The food, presentation, service are all exceptional. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys French food. Totally delightful.

I loved the ambiance of this place -- a great blend of upscale and sophisticated dining with friendly and welcoming service. We had a full 3 courses plus dessert seated at the bar. Favorites included the honey milk foie gras, the truffled tagliatelle, and the scallops. Each dish has something creative and fun about it. What I loved is that, for a fit-for-foodies restaurant, the portion sizes are great. We definitely left feeling satiated. In addition to the amazing food, it's worth a trip to Mirabelle just for the inspired, craft cocktails and great wine list. Will definitely be coming back to Mirabelle again and again!

Ate at Mirabelle on the recommendation of the concierge at the St Regis and we were not disappointed. French food is a favorite and Mirabelle's approach to the cuisine is fresh and very well executed. Loved everything we ordered. Our waiter, Jean Paul, was very knowledgeable and attentive. His suggested wine pairings were right on. Can't wait to return on our next visit to DC.

The staff at Mirabelle was attentive. The food was delicious and presented in a unique way. Also we highly recommend getting the wine pairings with the meals. Each wine was perfectly paired and interesting. The wines are not something we would have known and we were so glad that we chose that option.

The second edition of MIRABELLE brings us a united staff and another highly talented chef with impecabile credentials/experience. The menu is creative, inventive and exciting. The space is classy and refined. We did the $85 tasting menu that allows you to chose from 3 sections of the menu + dessert—very nicely balanced, including the amuse. Our wines were also truly outstanding and well priced. Mirabelle reminds me of the great restaurants we used to have in Washington 20 and 30 years ago, and are now gone. For a 21st century upgrade, rush to MIRABELLE!!!

While the food was very good, the experience was ruined by sub-par service despite a half empty dining room. Hopefully it was an off night and future diners can enjoy their experience more than I did.

Since writing this review, the restaurant reached out to me. I’m very impressed with how they addressed my experience and I will definitely give Mirabelle another chance as the food was excellent.

We cannot say enough good things about Mirabelle. What a great find and only a 2 block walk from our hotel.
The concierge from The Jefferson recommended the restaurant, and he was spot on.

Very welcoming and accommodating staff. They gave us a great table. Everything was simply excellent.
We had smoked (YES, SMOKED) salad, home made pasta with truffle and cream, lobster, and halibut. For dessert corn ice cream (delicious), with a caramel type wafer and peaches.

OUTSTANDING!!!!

This was my second time dining at Mirabelle in the past two weeks and again the food and service was impeccable. I had dined there with my spouse two weeks ago and loved it so much I had to go back there for lunch to see if the daytime menu was up to par with the dinner menu. We weren't disappointed! The lobster appetizer was cooked perfectly as were the salmon and sea bass entrees we ordered. The desserts were a perfect finish to a memorable meal....in fact, we took a few extra desserts to go just to extend our dinning experience as we walked back to our office. For a special occasion, this is the new go to restaurant in DC.

Superb food, beautifully presented. A+ service. Prices are average given the locale. Tasting menu is good value and portions are well judged. Salad presentation rightly described by neighboring table as being ‘like eating an instagram’. Staff attentive and friendly without being intrusive. One of DC’s best.

Four of us ate lunch to celebrate a special occasion. From the moment we walked in, we knew that we were in for a outstanding meal! The entire staff were beyond gracious and attentive to our every need and request. The team of employees at the restaurant worked exceptionally well together to cater to our every need. The manager on duty, Jordan, helped us pick out appetizers and menu items that fit well together, as well as our drink selections. Colby, our waitress, gave us excellent service and was beyond attentive. Our table shared the lobster roll appetizer and two of us had crab soup. Both of these items were beyond words.... amazing!!! Each of us ordered different entrees. Bass, French Dip Roast Beef, Chicken and Clams.
Everyone remarked that their own dishes were the best!!!! Ending of the meal was sweet and yummy as we tasted four desserts which were beyond imagineable. I am already thinking about when my next meal at Mirabelle can be scheduled.

Given the expense of the meals and drinks, I would have expected to be wowed, but that wasn't the case. We were seated near the very noisy bar ( not offered a quieter table although the restaurant wasn't that crowded). Management should launder its servers' uniforms; ours had a large stain.
