The food was absolutely amazing. And the portions were perfect. They seemed small at first but us Americans are used to being overfed. The entree hit the spot and I was satisfied. Dominique was our server and she was amazing. All of the staff were courteous and friendly!
The ambiance is very nice and the the food was good. The main courses were incredibly small for the price you pay - I left still hungry (and I had salad / main / dessert). I enjoyed my salad though and thought it was the appropriate size.
This was easily the best meal I have had in DC. Highly recommend and it’s quality justifies the prices!
Given the expense of the meals and drinks, I would have expected to be wowed, but that wasn't the case. We were seated near the very noisy bar ( not offered a quieter table although the restaurant wasn't that crowded). Management should launder its servers' uniforms; ours had a large stain.
Way overpriced for the quality of the food and the service
Wonderful food great service worth the expense
Our server mentioned that Mirabelle is not usually open for brunch on weekends, but they decided to be open this Father's Day. That was my good fortune. Since I am the senior father of the family, I chose this restaurant. The decor and ambiance were lovely. Service was efficient, prudent. The menu offered a pleasant variety of proteins, not just egg-related dishes. The food was really, really good. I am glad Chef Ruta is back. I wish him lasting success at Mirabelle. I hope to (continue to) contribute to his cash flow and success soon (again) and often.
A bit on the pricier side. But good service and good ambiance. Desert portions were a bit small, like many fancy restaurants.
The service was outstanding, the food amazing. It was a wonderful anniversary dinner.
The service was commendable, but the meal was lackluster.
The food was delicious. It was fantastic please for a romatoce date.
This was on the best meals I’ve ever enjoyed. The service was outstanding and our waiter was helpful in helping us select our courses. The bacon and eggs appetizer is one of the most divine things I’ve ever put in my mouth. The quail egg ravioli elicited happy mmmm’s as it melted in our mouths. It was such a fabulous experience I ordered dessert which is rare for me. That too impressed.
Very disappointed in boullibaisse seafood soup which arrived half cold with a tiny portion of very ordinary sauce and only small amount of seafood. the bison steak was OK but ordinary. Waiter did not provide good counseling on wine choice which was very expensive and also disappointing. Last time we were there we were enthralled with the food and the waiter. What happened?
Excellent experience. Excellent food. Highly recommended.
Very nice hostess welcome, nice bar, but after that, nothing remarkable except how average at best the experience was. Slow service, despite not full. Food was fine, but less than impressive sVe for the desserts. Requested medium rare duck, came medium on both orders - after waiting at least 30 minutes for main course after started. Service level not commensurate with Restaurants price or ambition. It may be better at lunch than dinner as I’ve only heard good things from lunch experiences. The meal ended on a high note with the desserts - the carrot cake and chocolate dome were both good and nicely presented.
This was our first visit but definitely not the last! We definitely appreciated the attention to details, the coordination of the staff and above all the quality of the preparations.
Have no fear, you will not regret this one!
The burger and the crepe dessert were excellent but the other items we ordered were just ok. We really did not care for the steak tartar. Happy to pay a premium for excellent food but this was not worth it.
It was very pricey and I'm not sure the quality of the food matched the price. So expensive!! The service was great though. Impressive staff.
Wonderful experience. Our server was completely knowledgeable and very attentive, one of the best we've ever had. The halibut was prepared to perfection and the bison was the best I have had. The noise level was civilized. We hope to return again.
Took about 10 minutes before even being greeted. Food and drinks were unique and delicious but the experience was not worth going back for a 2nd time.
Our food was very good, but the service was friendly but very uneven. There was a large party, including children in a corner table, and they were too loud for the ambience that the restaurant tries to maintain. The guests at the next table not only complained to the manager, but also to the guests in the large party. This action caused a few shouts to be exchanged, and overall it was not a good scene for fine dining. This restaurant should not allow children or seat large parties near other tables. I suggest a private area for these family celebrations. The manager gave us two glasses of wine because it took the server so long to deliver them. Not sure we will return.
Food was very good, but apart from at the bar, the service seemed a bit awkward and inexperienced for this level of restaurant.
It was lovely.
Amazing place. Very creative and delicious. Attention to detail. Will definitely be back.
Delightful food. Service not so much. Dining on a quiet night, our waiter disappeared after taking our order and did not return. The manager, noticing our isolation, and that we did not get our wine, directed other service servers to stop by during the evening. The food is delivered straight from the kitchen by servers dedicated to this purpose. We were initially given the dessert menu from Lunch. After waiting to order dessert, we were advised that there was a different menu for the Evening's dessert.
The service here is exceptionally choreographed and thoroughly professional. The food is superb! I had the steak tartare and duck breast, both, perfection. My companions had the lamb and sea bass, both which were likewise wonderfully delicious and beautifully presented.
It was, start to finish, truly an exceptional experience.
Mirabelle is an exceptional restaurant. Everything i've eaten there has been interesting and delicious. The trout appetizer with the fennel panna cotta stands out, as does the goose egg ravioli, but that's partly just because that's what I ate this week. it's a great restaurant.
Wonderful food and great service. We enjoyed it tremendously, and will be back.
One minor quibble was hearing late 70's rock A(3 Dog Night, Joe Cocker) in a romantic French restaurant, but it wasn't loud. We really liked being able to talk with each other without yelling.
Blue fin tuna was exceptional! And so was the service from the first greeter to server
They had a rabbit special and I should have tried that too!
Lovely French restaurant. The service was a bit too fussy for our tastes, but others might have enjoyed the attention.
We enjoyed wonderful food and wine, served by excellent staff.
Service and food were what one might expect for an upscale restaurant in downtown DC.
No glitches, no problems and several nice touches added up to an enjoyable meal.
I ordered a lamb dish for Mother’s Day lunch. I asked the waiter to describe it and he said it was a filet. It was a pate made of lamb. I asked for medium rare thinking I was getting a slice of roast lamb. It was a rare piece of “stuffed lamb”. It was very disappointing. My husband ordered the trout and it was excellent.
When I returned home I my stomach turned and I was sick all evening. The waiter should have described it better and not keep suggesting I order the steak.
Mother’s Day! Awesome
Mirabelle creates a fabulous dining experience. Their service is attentive and genuine. The food is so well prepared and presented beautifully. The drinks are custom and a work of art.
One of the best restaurants in DC! Excellent!!!
I had a romantic date with my wife and everything was top notch. Great selection of wines!
The food was really good! The service...started out good and then kind of deteriorated as the night went on. We went for our wedding anniversary. At first, our server was very attentive, almost aggressively so. But as the night went on and the tables started filling up, he kind of forgot about us. My husband ordered a second martini that took a while to arrive, to the point that I (nicely) asked another server if he could check on it. A huge fuss and apology was made about the drink being late and we were told it would be taken off the bill but it wasn’t. At a cheaper restaurant this type of stuff would be a non-issue, we wouldn’t have really cared, but if you’re going to throw down upwards of several hundred dollars for a meal then the service should be impeccable. Our meals were delicious, and at the end of the day we enjoyed our meal because it was our anniversary, but we would not go back there again.
Food and service were excellent. The room is nicely decorated and the noise level was low enough for comfortable conversation over an extended period. At the end of the meal, a rainstorm had developed outside, and the staff hailed taxis for us.
We had a good time, but the food wasn’t good enough to support the price.
