    Always excellent food, prepared with care and presented in beautiful fashion. The service is always extraordinary. The only drawback of this restaurant is when the door opens, a blast of cold air comes into the small space. It's tough in the winter. But worth it, because the food and service are outstanding!

    When receiving the bill, it came to my surprise that there is a 20% operational and kitchen fee applied BEFORE gratuity. Feels very shady and misleading. Increase your menu costs and do not surprise your customers!!!!

    We had an excellent meal at Il Piatto. The meatball appetizer was very good and both of the pasta dishes were well-prepared and served piping hot. It was Restaurant Week and ended up being a great value. The restaurant is very popular, was crowded and a little loud but the noise level would not stop us from returniing.

    Excellent food and service! The beet salad was delicious. I also had the branzino entree with roasted carrots and it was also delicious. Even the table bread was fresh and crispy and the drinks were cold and satisfying.

    Food and service were good but the 20% fee “to cover operational costs” (doesn’t cover tip for wait staff) is a subterfuge, a bait and switch. Menu prices seem reasonable but as a customer you need to add the 20% to get the real price. Customers are smart enough to understand what they are doing. Won’t be coming back.
