Mira Sushi & Izakaya Bar Ratings and Reviews
I would recommend this restaurant for a QUICK meal of good sushi. We were so rushed that the wait staff kept trying to remove plates with food still on them. If we so much as put down our chop sticks, people came by to pick up our plates and platters. The sushi was good and prices fair but come only if you want to be out in 45 minutes.
We were early to our reservation and they seated us immediately. Sake options were wonderful and grouped based on taste with a range of prices, the spicy ramen was a great portion size with plenty of meat, and the Miso Not Sorry Roll is a must-get. Super friendly staff and we can't wait to go again!
The food was tasty and the drinks were good. They were out of two of the drinks on their cocktail menu though, but that didn't really negatively impact my time there. The waitress was super nice and fun to talk to and was super helpful cuz we were very indecisive. BULGOGI TACOS were so good!!!!
I lover Mira and visit often as it is right down the street from my work. I have had some casual meals as well as take out for lunch. On this particular visit I was meeting up for a business meal. The appetizers arrived quickly, but when it got to the main course -2 out of 3 meals were delivered and we had to wait 30 mins for my colleagues who only ordered one sushi roll... Once the 20 minute mark came (and by 20 mins I mean 20 mins AFTER the first 2 meals came out, in total it was probably 40 mins) we asked the waitress what was going on, she comped a free beverage but we still had to wait about 10 mins after bringing it to their attention. This was not the best dinner I have had there and it was unfortunate especially because it was a work situation...
Chicken gyoza were amazing. Shishito peppers were great (although out of the 6 I shared, I got 2 hots ones!) Sushi was lacking... my rolls were a little messy and bland, but loved the flavor combinations. We sat at the bar, and the restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night at 8pm so I think the combination is why it took us very long to get our sushi. The apps came fast.
Visiting from FLORIDA with my daughter. We both enjoyed the food but service was slow. Food took a long time found out they burned part of our meal. No one came by to tell us until we asked. I ordered a drink that never showed up. We were not attended to and they were not that busy.
Great food, nice environment for sushi during the week with a friend. Good value. However, the service is lacking. They served crispy rice roll and salad and took them a HALF HOUR to bring over my friend's sashimi (the easiest, quickest thing to get to the table). Service has to tighten up.
Came to Mira Sushi & Izakaya Bar and ordered the Spicy Sashimi Salad and was honestly disappointed with the portion size. It was surprisingly small, and there was nothing so special about the taste of the salad. When I go to a restaurant I try to order things I don't normally eat, or dishes I wouldn't be able to make at home. This was just ordinary and without any inventiveness, even if the sashimi was very fresh. The service, on the other hand, was excellent. My waiter was very attentive and friendly. Even so, I'm not sure if I will come back here...
This is not your usual sushi joint. Creative drinks (some of them flaming), a nice range of sake, and really creative Japanese fusion cuisine. For example, beef bulgogi tacos (which won a Bobby Flay competition); octopus meatballs; spicy tuna cold pizza! All of these are wonderful, far better than they may sound.
This is a good place to come for casual hangout with a couple of friends over drinks and small plates. All the dishes were smaller than expected, but overall decent quality. I will say if you are a foodie, stick with the daily special appetizers and whatever is recommended. The highlight of the night were their cocktails, especially their Lychee Sangria -- very refreshing and well-mixed.
I loved this place. Went on a date with my boyfriend thinking it's a different sushi restaurant, and I'm very glad I made that slip while booking us a table.
The food was very tasty, the saki we had was great, and the service was excellent. This is a great spot for a date, or for friends get together. It's very relaxed atmosphere, and elegant menu.
We ate Miso roll, beef tacos, tuna pizza, pork belly. Everything was excellent. Will definitely go back.
