Mio Nonno Trattoria - Victory Park
It was the perfect place for a downtown date.
Love this spot. Great as always.
Food was good but not great, all menu items seemed overpriced, and service was poor. We went before a concert at the AAC and it was clear they weren’t ready. The server took 5 minutes to get a glass of wine (which was served at room temperature), shrimp was put on my pasta instead of salmon, and despite our wine glasses being empty for half our meal no one asked if we’d like another...until our server brought us our check and asked if we’d like another round. Disappointing
Great food, ok wine list, ok service, clean, comfortable.
Convenient to AA Center and Dart.
Although I love the food at Mio Nonno I have about given up dining there. The kitchen is so poorly managed that no meals come out timely or together at your table. Their staff seems unapologetic about it and could care less about your experience. I have dined there multiple times before games and it sadly is the same every time. If they aever their act in gear I would try it again!
Great food and service. Portions good and friendly staff. Will definitely return.
The food was excellent .A bit overpriced but location was great if you are going to an event at American Airlines Center. They were so understaffed so the service was bad. The wait staff was delightful and friendly but probably need more training. They brought our food but we had to wait 10 minutes to get our silverware to eat our food. They told us that they were having to wash the silverware. The best part is that Valet is free if you eat at this restaurant and you can leave your car in Valet during the concert . But beware of the Valet Parking attendant. When we arrived , I asked him if we could leave our car while we attended the concert and he told me that YES but the cost would be $ 20.00 cash paid in advance to him. I later discovered that Valet is free if you are eating at the restaurant. So beware of the Valet guy. I will definitely go back especially anytime I attend an event at AA center.
Food so fresh. The gnocchi was amazing. Salmon cooked perfect. Generous portions. Reasonable prices for wines
Our first experience was great months ago. This experience was not great. Lighting is too dark, food was cold, waitress spoke way too fast and served a quarter full martini and said “oh, and sorry but we have no olives”. Our cheese and meat tray had olives. At least give the customer the option to choose something else. Will try again in a few weeks.
First time at this restaurant and saw it recommended on Instagram. The food was very good - not the best I've had but overall worth it. My chips were cold and I like them fresh and hot. The salsa was excellent and we tried several different things on the menu. The slaw that comes with the ribs (we will try these next time) was unbelievable and yes it's a Mexican place. Our waiter, Pepe' (Jose) made our experience there though. The service was top notch. Pepe' made the evening such a fun experience for us. Explaining the menu, welcoming, recommending - just including everything we needed to know. He seems to be like that with all the customers also. The whole staff was great and so friendly and nice to us out-of-towners! I would definitely recommend due to such a great experience. It made out night!
Tables too close to get and under staffed
Really great experience before attending a concert at AAC. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
Zach was so personable and amazing making for a wonderful evening. Food was delicious like always!
Good food and good service.
It was nice
Live rat in the dining room. Convenient for game at AA but otherwise skip.
The food and service was great. They have a nice aesthetic but the music was way too loud and cluby for the amount of people in there.
Great experience. Our server was responsive and attentive. Food was awesome. Great location too.
The only complaint- took too long for the food to come to table.
We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and a salad. The cheese pizza arrived runny and the pepperoni pizza was burnt. The salad was sub par. When we asked the waiter about the pizzas, he informed us because they are wood fired it cooks different. The pizzas were not edible. Instead of correcting the quality of the pizzas, we were only offered other items on the menu that were pasta dishes. We will not be going back.
Bday for dad
The menu was varied with options for any diet, the wine list was (for a non-wine snob anyway) excellent, the food was served promptly, at proper temperature, nice portions and deliciously seasoned. Service was excellent. Decor is all concrete and glass - restrooms were small but clean. Directly across from AAC and offering valet parking
great venue before a sporting event or concert - food is prepared perfectly - i had veal and my friend had one of the pasta dishes - started out with the spicy calamari - service good have been a bit more attentive but was eager - will go back again
Bad service which could not make up for ok food, and I have lax standards for Italian food.
From beginning to end our experience was exceptional. Our waiter, Zeke, was outstanding. Very attentive yet not overly disruptive. He was very professional, attentive, and courteous. The food was exceptional and a good value for the quality. The only downside was the noise level inside the restaurant. We asked to be seated on the patio where it was a bit quieter, but the music was still a bit loud. If I go back to this restaurant I will definitely sit on the patio.
Very tasty Italian food however was not impressed with the service. We had a reservation and were placed at a high top by the bar. Not the most ideal place however not the end of the world. Our frustrations were with our waitress Nichole C. We wanted to space out and enjoy our meal as this was an early valentine's date night for us. She made us order our entrees at the same time we ordered our appetizer and assured us she would space them out. Well, our entree arrived as we were still finishing up the appetizer. Then when we were ready for our second round of drinks, she was no where to be found. We were able to order our drinks as our entrees were arriving. Then after we were done eating and were enjoying our second cocktail, she dropped off the ticket and told us other people were waiting for our table. At that point we hadn't even been at the restaurant an hour yet. For a pricey restaurant, it is very frustrating to be rushed through your meal and basically told to leave. While the food was great, the poor service will keep us from coming back.
Close to the AA center!
Food was very good however, the food servers, not the wait staff, need better training. We had ordered salads with entrees and the entrees were brought to our table before the salads had even been delivered.
Such yummy food, terrific service and perfect location for a pre-Mavs game dinner! We usually split a salad and then the lasagna - that way it's not such a heavy meal. And that lasagna is GOOD. We have dined here several times and have only had really great experiences at Mio Nonno at Victory Park.
The pizza was very disappointing. It was way too salty for me. Wish I would have tried the pasta.
Pre-game dinner. This is our go to place. Great food. Great service. Valet parking.
Great service. Timely and thoughtful.
Good food and efficient / courteous introduction at the desk.
Would not accept valid coupon that I had.
The food and service was exceptional!! Perfect place for a great dinner before a game or concert!
This was not my favorite. The food was average and the prices were kind of high for what you get.
Didn't honor a food allergy, rough dinner. Chef and manager don't even know what is in the meal
The calamari was very good — you can ask for mild or spicy tomato sauce! The bursts and all pasta dishes were fantastic. We shared a tiramisu for desert and it was a good choice (good and a large portion — good to share!)
Generally the place is a good place. Food is pretty good, however the entire experience feels like you are in a race to finish your meal. Immediately after being seated you are offered drinks, when the drinks finally show up, you are expected to have your order, because the clock to get you out of the restaurant is ticking (Note to ownership... not EVERYONE who dines at your restaurant needs to get out to the Mavs game by 7:15). not 4 minutes after you give your order, your appetizer shows up, and before you can finish your appetizer, some kids comes and hands you your dinner, having to move your appetizer out of the way. Then the waitress, who never came back to refresh your 1st drink, come s and takes your unfinished appetizer plate. 10 minutes later, while you are still eating, the waitress asks, "are we ready for dessert? Add to the fact that one of the orders was completely wrong, so they quickly (and I mean quickly) get you what you wanted in the 1st place. Its always fun spending $100 at dinner and individually eating a meal. The food is ok, the rest of the experience sucked. Not worth going back.
AA center BB game
Love Mio Nonno! We’ve been to the one in Allen & Victory Park. Excellent food!
