Mio Nonno Trattoria - Victory Park
I had an extra charge on my credit card for about 25.00. I asked to have it credited it back but that hasn’t happened yet. Eat here often, but last time my credit card was compromised and I had to get a new one. Something fishy is happening there.
Nice restaurant; great location for a pre-concert dinner. The food and drinks were great. Our waiter wasn’t very good. He made several “rude” comments throughout the night.
Excellent service. Amazing food.
They ran out of some items on menu (chicken & lasagna). Restroom was dirty and there were no paper towels and toilet paper. Water glass refills were left unattended (took too long to refill water).
Food was very authentic Italian. Delicious we will be back
Great service and food!
Great food. Great service.
Great new dining!!! Recommend the gnocchi
Food inconsistent quality versus last visit, service forgetful, eg, bread, water refills, drink reordering.
Very good experience! Great waitress!
I was very clear that I CANNOT have any gluten containing ingredients on my plate. When my entree arrived, it had bread slices on top. I had to wait for it to be re-made. Also, my coffee was barely warm. We were on our way to the Stars’ game and couldn’t wait for more coffee to be made.
Everyone ordered something different and we all tasted each other’s dish. Everyone agreed that everything was absolutely scrumptious! The waiter was on point and we will return when we are in the area!
We waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to ask if we wanted a drink.
They seemed very disorganized. Food was mediocre at best
Didn’t get our drinks until we were done eating our dinner. Then we ordered a second glass of wine and that glass of wine tasted rancid. Had a poor experience at another location as well. We won’t them again.
Made reservations in advance of concert at AAC. Table was waiting for us. Food and wine were excellent. Very noisy but we were able to converse easily.
Dallas Stars home opener night- terrible service. Had to wait 25 minutes to get water and then asked someone to take our order so we could get going to the game. We spent an hour and half there and had to eat very quickly to avoid missing the start of the game. Food was great.
It is a great place for dinner when you are headed to American Airlines Center for an event!
Just enjoy and walk right across the street!
We like coming to Mio Nonno and even though we were there on an Event night the food was still delicious. The salad was cold and crisp, the pastas were al dente and served steaming hot! Our waitress, Taylor, was super friendly and efficient. The only problem was it was VERY hot in the restaurant - maybe something was wrong with the A/C?? Our Diavolo Pizza was almost too spicy to eat and that made the restaurant feel even hotter!
The food was fantastic and the service was very good.
We were seated outside with many other guests but it became clear quickly that no one outside was receiving good service. Most of us sat for 20 min or more before we had to flag down someone just to bring water. The waiter we flagged down said he wasn’t even supposed to have any outside tables. He took our order and never brought anything to us. After an hour of waiting (we were supposed to go to a concert and though leaving would just lead us to another busy restaurant) we finally got up and left as did many other guests outside.
Additionally, they marked us as no-show to open table when the maitre’d clearly clicked on my name before she sat us down.
I’ll never darken their doorsteps again.
This dinner was right before a big concert at AAC and the restaurant was packed. We were 15 minutes late for our reservation but they quickly found us a table.
We mentioned the concert and that we were a little rushed and our server Taylor took great care of us, so we could make the show.
The food was excellent and we will definitely be going back when we won’t be so rushed, so that we can really enjoy the entire experience.
I so want to love this place - the food is good and SUPER convenient to AA Center and the Lexus garage. I thought the AC issue was a one-off but 3 months later and still way too hot! Our first table had water dripping out of the ceiling right next to my shoulder (they had a napkin there, so they knew) and they looked upset when we asked to be re-seated. They did not have enough waitstaff, our poor server was tackling tables inside and on the patio; she tried but was overwhelmed. Also marked us as a no-show on OpenTable even though I asked; received the email while there and went back to host stand and asked them to correct. Noticed another reviewer had the same experience. The food is really, really good, it is a shame they can't get the rest of it right.
We have been here a few times & food & service has always been very good. Unfortunately, on our last visit both food & service were sub par. Service was up & down, it took a long time for someone to wait on us. The patio was a disaster, most tables had dirty dishes, leftovers & several checks! We had to send the pasta back for being undercooked, (crunchy, not al dente) the eggplant was over cooked, & the dessert we we given for our trouble, was dry & lacked filling. I hope this was just a bad nigh and not a reflection of future dining!
Great food if you ever get served. Busy night but they are located next to American Airlines arena! Took 45 minutes to get a waiter. They brought warm water and spilled oil all over table. The wait staff looked dazed and confused and the manager was too busy chatting with friends. The food was very good but service kills it!
I love this restaurant. The food never disappoints. The ambiance and service are top notch. Delicious Italian entrees and appetizers coupled with creative, refreshing cocktails from their bar, are such a treat. I’ve been to all of their locations and this is my favorite. Our waitstaff was very attentive and helpful. Be sure to make a reservation during peak hours or sit at the bar, either way you will love the experience!
We went to Mio Nonno prior to a concert and were extremely pleased! The server asked if we were attending an event to expedite the order. The appetizer and salads came out together which was fine. The entrees were amazing and the GM came over and asked us how things were and if we needed anything else. All of the food and entire experience was amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
While the food was ok, the service was subpar. The food is too expensive for its quality. Servers seemed to be more concerned about their social status than the customers.
SO AMAZING! The food was so yummy and the ambience was perfect. Great night out with friends.
The food and drinks were amazing. However the service was a little lacking. It seemed to take a long time to get glasses of water and we were told we were going to get bread and then it never showed up. I know it’s a newer location so maybe they’re still working out the kinks.
We were a bit late for our reservation the evening of a show, maybe 8-10 minutes and they told us we could eat outside or just find a first come first serve table at the bar. So we found a seat in the bar and the manager immediately came over and asked us if we had a reservation. We said yes but that we didn’t get a table and were told to try our luck at the bar. He let us know for show nights they only hold tables for 5 minutes. FYI. Bartender was kind and took care of us when no one else came over. Food was ok.
Service was terrible and the food wasn’t much better. Our server neglected turn in our entree order and when the salmon finally arrived it was over cooked to a crisp. Wine on tap was the only saving grace of our meal experience. I would not eat here again. Why open across from the AAC if you can’t keep up with the pre-show traffic?
Great location, amazing food and drinks and very good service!
I have been to their sister restaurant in Allen a few times.
The Victory Park location is the big brother.
The Pizza is as authentic Italian as you can get in the DFW area, light with excellent flavor.
Food and service were good considering the restaurant was full for the concert that night.
Good bar, good food, good location.
Pre concert drinks and food with a friend. Drinks were very good. The buratta appetizer, meatballs and pizza were delicious. Service was friendly and quick.
Would definitely return next time we’re attending event at AAC.
Table ready, olive oil with balsamic was spoiled/rancid, bread good.
Calamari was very good, marinara dip was quite spicy.
Margherita pizza was very good. Eggplant Rollotini was excellent.
Cannolis were pretty good, crust was a bit hard and crunchy.
Overall, a pretty good experience. In and out in 1.5 hours and able to make the show across the street at the American Airlines Center without any issues.
Pretty restaurant. Cocktails were good. We had a very pleasant and attentive server and the manager made several table visits. The Mediterraneo salad was bland and the Lobster Ravioli was just ok. We were a table of 7 and most of the comments about the food were not impressive, however the 2 that ordered the braised pork in pasta had great reviews of the food. I might try it again and choose different menu items. Close enough to walk to house of blues for a concert so that’s a plus.
What a find. Amazing homemade food, great service and a calm, relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy both!
Perfect experience for my little sisters 17th birthday!
Greeted by a very pleasant hostess. Seated right away. Not many people there but we had reservations anyway. Approached by server right away. Next bread was brought to the table. All was fine. Asked for recommendation and was told the lobster ravioli is really good. So I ordered that and I asked for chili flakes on the side since I like a little spice. I ordered the Caesar salad to start and it was pretty standard. My daughter asked if she could get penne with pink sauce and add pesto and sun-dried tomatoes. The server was happy to accommodate her request. She later came back and said that they don’t have pesto. The food was brought to our table by someone else and the penne had only sauce, no sun-dried tomatoes. Later were told they only have roasted tomatoes after the fact. Anyway, My lobster ravioli (Aragosta) was dropped off but without chili-flakes on the side. My lobster was tough and it tasted so fishy-old and the sauce reminded me of the flavor of Campbell’s tomato soup. I think I ate one maybe one & a half raviolis. It was awful. My daughters pasta was also a disappointment. Our not even half-eaten pasta dishes were removed from the table by a busser. No one asked us how our dinner was, but the valet guy did. For the prices, this place was horrible. I don’t know what happened since the first time we went which was probably 6-9 months ago, but it wasn’t like I remembered. It is such a great space but our pasta dishes were not good. The music didn’t match the atmosphere. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish with choice of music. The bussers and bartender who brought over my wine were very cordial. Overall, a disappointment as far as food for that price. Roughly $62 for food only. With 2 glasses of wine $86. Before tip! If the food had been better I wouldn’t mind. We dine out about 3-4 times a week so I’m aware of pricing. This was not worth it.
Not crowded, greeted warmly by staff. Beautiful night, we were able to sit outside.
