Chez Minton, nous voulons vous recevoir comme nous le ferions avec amis et membres de notre famille. Établi dans la maison historique Greenbank construite en 1860, le Minton se situe au cœur des Cantons de l’Est, près des producteurs, artisans locaux et des plus beaux points de vue du Québec. Nous sommes fiers de vous recevoir et vous invitons à venir découvrir notre belle région du lac Massawippi.
Dans une atmosphère bucolique et feutrée, nous vous proposons une expérience gourmande orchestrée par le chef Simon Proulx.

Dû à un nombre important de clients ne se présentant pas à leur réservation, nous sommes dans l'obligation d'instaurer de nouvelles politiques de réservation. Nous vous contacterons préalablement à votre réservation pour obtenir un numéro de carte de crédit. Aucun montant ne sera prélevé mais des frais de 50$/client seront exigé en cas d'absence. Nous serions reconnaissant de nous avisez MINIMUM 48h à l'avance pour toute annulation/changement afin d'éviter les frais.

    Minton is a small (18 seat) chef owned restaurant in what I assume is the chef's home in rural eastern Quebec. Even with GPS we drove past it due to the large "Greenbank BBQ" food truck taking up most of the small parking area beside an older farm house. Once we parked we were a bit trepidatious as it was not what we expected heading into a $95 (US) 7 course tasting menu. The dining room turned out to be quite charming and comfortable. We were met by Chef Simon who was warm and welcoming, explaining we would likely be the only patrons that evening (Sat) due to cancellations as it was a spectacular late Spring day which the locals were out and about enjoying, and they were preparing to close the restaurant for the Summer to switch focus to the food truck in the driveway. Despite being the only 2 diners all night we did not feel awkward. Chef and his sous chef came out periodically to explain and serve each course. The wine pairings were both generous and excellent choices. We opened with 4 small bites, each served individually, all with locally obtained ingredients and just enough to whet the appetite, then an appetizer (1/2 whole lobster) which would have been sufficient as an entree (of course on the french menu it was referred to as the entree) and a main. I chose the lamb tortellini in saffron sauce while my wife ordered halibut. Not to take anything away from the excellently prepared halibut, I have only ordered a handful of dishes that have remained memorable over the years, and the lamb will join that group. Each pasta bite was absolutely stuffed with perfectly cooked lamb, the sauce was exceptional and the pasta as delicate as any I've ever enjoyed in Italy or elsewhere. Dessert was a small bite of maple sugar candy, just enough. Only a 15 minute drive from the border, I highly recommend Minton and look forward to returning in the Winter.

    We had the most amazing dinner at Minton, one of our favorite restaurants in the Eastern Township! The Chef cares so much about the food and produce and it shines through in the food. Every course was amazing! You need to try this special restaurant!

    Merci a l'equipe du Minton, c'est toujours un grand plaisir de savourer votre cusine extraordinaire. C'etait une tres belle facon de celebrer la nouvelle annee 2024 en passant les derriere heure de 2023 en votre compagnie. L'accord vin/plats etait tres reussi, tout le menu degustation etait un vrai delice, et on en redemande encore. Bonne annee 2024

    On se dois vraiment connaître ce restaurant , pour vivre une des meilleures expériences gastronomiques à Sherbrooke. À ne pas manquer si vous passez par Sherbrooke, North Hatley ou Magog

    Ne pas se fier au prix du menu sur internet qui dit 110$ par personne, car il est 125$. Avec les à côté vous pouvez vous retrouver avec une facture de 500$ et plus avec le tip. Mais les plats étaient sommes toutes très bons!

    Minton is one of our favorite places to eat. It’s more than a meal, it is an experience. The flavors are incredible and the service is top notch - professional yet warm and welcoming. Ever since eating there the first time in 2019, I have dreamed of going back and we finally did last weekend. I literally cannot recommend this place enough. Recommend asking for chef’s choice. They will treat you right. Enjoy!

    Minton was truly an extraordinary experience! We were greeted by Louis who was also our server. He was extremely knowledgeable about the food and the wines. His welcoming and friendly demeanor made the evening even more special! One member of our party had several food allergies and they went out of their way to accommodate her. I cannot say enough positive things about Minton. The dinner was absolutely delicious and each course was a visual culinary delight. Most Highly recommended!
