Really good experience and not too crowded or noisy Friday at 7
Nice atmosphere. Great staff. We especially enjoyed the cocktails, appetizers and desserts. Awesome place for a birthday celebration.
Service and food were outstanding! Comfortable and delicious!
Food was great - try the octopus, it was excellent!
My first time at Minnow and thoroughly enjoyed dinner!
So glad I was able to visit this restaurant. Great place to meet friends for dinner. Seafood is their specialty .
Fish was fresh and well prepared. Our waitress was knowledgeable. about the menu, and attentive without hovering.
Wish they still had the excellent hamburger but we had excellent meals anyhow. I had the Corvino, others had the short ribs, mussels and shrimp. Dessert is a must
Great concept of bottomless tapas brunch but run out of items quickly. Our server told us “ get here earlier” next time. Cute atmosphere. Close New York like seating. Friendly staff who are quick to refill your mimosa glass.
Excellent! Food was fresh and delicious, highly recommend the mussels and octopus! Server was attentive and made very detailed, terific reccomendations. Only downsides were the lack of a raw bar selection, and it was slightly noisey, but we knew both of these prior to dining thanks to other reviewers. Overall a terrific dining experience, will be going again!
Dinner was delicious and the service was flawless. We had the octopus, charcuterie, duck, and pork belly and everything was fantastic
Excellent food and great service; however the restaurant is extremely loud.
I would have loved this restaurant more if it were less noisy. The hard surfaces- metal, tile, etc- make for a noisy atmosphere. Not the place for a quiet intimate dinner. Food was good and the service was excellent.
These guys really know how to cook! Fantastic fish. The bronzino was utter perfection
We were at Minnow to celebrate my son’s fiancé’s birthday. The staff made us feel incredibly welcomed and did everything to make the experience a good one. The food was excellent, beautifully prepared and delicious. We appreciated the personal service all around.
Service was poor. We went for Brunch on a Sunday for tapas and bottomless mimosas. Food was okay but took long to receive. Maybe going there for dinner is better?
The dining room was very comfortable and the atmosphere was nice. The decor was super cute. We were excited about having a tapas style brunch. Free valet parking was convenient, and we were seated quickly according to our reservation. Everyone ordered the bottomless brunch (it's all or none at the table, which makes sense). Our drinks arrived fairly quickly and the bloody mary's were very good - on the spicy side. We had to wait for 40 minutes for our first small plates to be served. That put a wrench in our excitement, especially because 3 tables adjacent to ours were seated after us, and were served promptly. The salt cod croquettes were bland and the texture on the inside was too mushy. The chicken biscuit was delicious, and everyone liked the fried oysters. I would not do the bottomless brunch again or recommend it to a friend, but I would try a regular lunch or dinner.
Server was fantastic we were very impressed with the service overall. Tasty food and excellent drinks!
Amazing and delicious! This was our 3rd dinner at Minnnow and we continue to be amazed at the creative fresh options.. can’t wait to go back again!
Very enjoyable meal
Great food. Not too salty. Hip, trendy. Great cocktails.
This was my second visit to Minnow. The first time was such a positive, even exciting, culinary experience that I feared my high expectations as a result of that meal might well be disappointed this time around. I shouldn't have worried. This meal was just as good. Not only is the food outstanding, from concept to execution, but the service is exceptional and the ambiance pleasing. All 3 of my party gave the visit to Minnow a "thumbs up". A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience that made a cold, blustery night seem warm.
The food was all prepared with care and had interesting and delicious flavor profiles. The service was also quick and friendly. The highlight of the meal was the meat and seafood in the dishes. The octopus and pork especially, which were both tender and flavorful. We would have taken photos but it was all so good we ate it too quickly.
We had a spider in our food - it was removed promptly but we never really received an apology. Overall, our server was excellent and attentive, and we enjoyed our time with friends, but i will probably not rush back to Minnow anytime soon because of the spider incident.
Awesome brunch experience! Thanks!
Food was pretty good, but it was hard to get the waiter's eye...I think perhaps they were understaffed that night? I would have loved another glass of wine but never got a chance to order one! Alert....on a Saturday night the noise is intense! At a table for 6 those at either end couldn't hear most of what the other end was saying. Nice drinks though...including one that releases smoke when served...dramatic!
We loved the food and Stephanie was on top of things, knowledgeable and made making substitutions super easy. We also enjoy the atmosphere. It's got a great vibe and food is interesting!
Service was excellent and friendly, we felt quite welcome and well taken care of.
For starters we had cheese and charcuterie, each serving you choose and each serving is 5 bucks - but they are hearty servings and we selected 4 items. Manchego mousse with thinly sliced green apple and 2 semi soft baguette slices? Wow, perfection. The rest was enjoyed with crispy baguette chips... and I mean it was enjoyed. Thinly sliced chorizo was rich, not too spicy and decadent. Serrano ham equally delicious. An absolute pleasure was the aged goat cheese, the flavor was so complex; first tasting of brie, then moving into easily recognizable goat cheese flavor, and finally ending with a subtle funkiness reminiscent of a mild blue cheese.
The burger was awesome! Cooked to an expert medium rare, some kind of yogurt type sauce, and sweet tangy dilled pickles paired with the incredibly spicy pickled chili and pearled onion speared through the bun made for a fantastically juicy and flavor packed bite. The fries were okay... oversalted and not quite crisp.
The chanterelle mushroom dish was a disappointment. On the salty side the arugula, mushrooms, and braised radish were excellent, however, everything was overpowered by the vin blanc sauce that was served as a pool under everything else. Vin blanc is rich and creamy and given the flavors of the vegetables ended up fighting the other flavors for stardom and was our least favorite bite of the night.
For dessert we opted for the lemon butter cake served with a blackberry compote and whipped ricotta. Flavorful, excellent lemon taste cuts through the sweetness and paired perfectly when all 3 flavors were combined in a bite. The cake was decidedly a bit too dry.
The food is always great!!!!
I use minnow for business meetings. Noise level depends on how crowded.
The service and food were top notch. We hadn’t been in a couple months and were not disappointed! Love this place, an absolute neighborhood gem.
We enjoyed the choice of white fish and pretty presentation with nice combination of flavors.
Baltimore Restaurant Tour 2019, stop #1: Minnow - Main course of the pork tenderloin was phenomenal. Rest of the courses were mediocre. Service was lacking. But the drinks were A+ as always. Highly recommend the Hot Toddies for the table. And the bar manager was delightful when he came out to explain his concoction. Overall, I give Minnow a solid 7.2/10.
We had a fabulous dinner on a Friday night at Minnow. We went on the early side because we brought our 8 month old twins. The restaurant was so accommodating. We had our own area so as not to disturb other customers. They brought out our food quickly. Merluza and shirt ribs were great. Whiskeys cocktails were delicious. Service was wonderful. We will be back!
Had a great meal this past Tuesday. Oscar the bartender served us at one of the large high tops in the bar. His food and wine recommendations were excellent. Jake the manager on duty stopped by several times to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. If you get the chance try the fried oysters as an appetizer then the Rockfish for dinner and pair it all with the Heredad Rsv. Cava!
Lovely evening with friends. Great short ribs!
Limited menu and made more so by a few items being unavailable. Food was fine - nothing spectacular. Drinks were above average. Doubt I’d return.
For a restaurant designed like the stage of a romantic comedy, carried out in heroin ridden south baltimore, the ambiance is underwhelming. Our server was fine, but forgot our drink orders a few times. The menu was all over the place. They want to be a seafood restaurant but don’t know how to prepare seafood. Lobster with fresh pasta in an aoli is a daring item. If I wanted my lobster bathed in mayo, I would order a lobster roll. Then again, I may not be familiar with south baltimore tradition. The one redeeming quality of this place was the wine list. Their beverage director should rework the whole place around that.
We all enjoyed the restaurant. The waitress was very nice and helpful. She knew the menu. The food was delicious.
the NYE prix fixe is always a roll of the dice, but if the quality of the Minnow menu was that high for this night out, we can't wait to get back again. excellent wine list with all sorts of interesting options.
