Minetta Tavern abrió sus puertas en Greenwich Village en 1937. Tavern fue nombrado en honor a Minetta Brook, que iba desde el suroeste de la ciudad hasta la 23rd Street del rio Hudson. My husband and I keep a running list of NYC restaurants we want to try. Minetta was at the top and everything was perfect. We ordered all they are known for and we were not disappointed! The service was great, the ambiance was crowded but creates a wonderful vibe, the restaurant is old and rich with history and creates such a cozy fun vibe.

Fantastic! Great location, great decor and very charismatic atmosphere. Fabulous onion soup to start (you could be in Paris) and scallops ceviche which melted on the tongue. We both had the famous black label burger which certainly lives up to its reputation. Meaty, unctuous and full of flavour from the 4 cuts of meat. It is for me undoubtedly the best burger I’ve ever eaten. A definite return venue.

My buddy’s birthday. Went for lunch. We had the Gem, the bone marrow, and burgers. As always Minetta Tavern smacked it out the park.

Was a really good dinner with an excellent fois app, scallop crudo, followed up with mussels in cream sauce perfectly cooked, delicious fries, tasty veal chop, and steak frites. Seating was very tight , atmosphere was vibrant but very noisy. Overall we really enjoyed our dinner .

This is my third trip to Minetta Tavern and to be honest, it is always the same.... in the best possible way. This time I went during brunch time, I had no idea they had brunch, and didn't end up ordering any of the brunch items because we were on a mission. My wife had never had the Black Label Burger and shes not a crazy eater so we stayed on track. However, my cousin decided to join us and we ended up getting the Cote de Bouef with bone marrow and salad. Bacon, tomatoes and cauliflower gratin.... oh my... Let me say that when our server, who was fantastic sorry I forgot your name, told us that we could have the burger cut in three and I scratched my head. First off, chefs hate doing abnormal things and two, I just couldn't believe it was an option. I figure many people have requested that and hence why its allowed. Nonetheless amazing burger. Perfect med-rare, nice funk, just love that fact that they didn't have to do much to make a spectacular burger. The steak, also a beautifully rested med-rare, with the toast points, bone marrow, and the sides were maybe a bit too much for lunch... but who cares! I didn't even eat dinner that night because I was still happily full. Thank you again Minetta Tavern FOH and BOH staff for another fantastic meal. See you soon!

Worst experience I’ve ever had a restaurant in NYC in the 16 years I’ve lived here. Rude staff, unaccommodating.
