Great food, excellent service and good value! We will be back!

Great location, nice ambiance. Food was ok. Greek salad was not "fresh" super mushy tomatoes. Souvlaki was good, but came with one small slice of potatoe. Nice vibe though, and may come back again as its in the neighborhood.

Good neighbourhood restaurant. Very busy and doing a great business with takeout orders. But I was seated within 5 minutes of arriving for my reserved time. The wait staff were busy but did came by within a reasonable time. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. Nothing fancy but good comfort food. The portions were generous.

From the get-go this was not the best experience. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation, which we booked through open-table. At first, they could not find our reservation, but once they did, we were told our table would be ready in « a moment . » I understood that to mean that we would be seated shortly. I witnessed 3 empty tables, all in separate locations, which were fully set. Those tables remained unoccupied for about 40 minutes. When I asked why we had not been seated yet, I received a snappy response, that it was a busy day and that everyone was waiting an additional 30-40 minutes. Interestingly, guests without reservations were being told that the wait was « around 20 minutes. »

After my query, I was quickly seated. A couple who had arrived about 5 minutes after us, with no reservation, were seated at the same time. By the way, those 3 tables, were still unoccupied as we walked passed them.

We were seated at a table that was not yet set. There were napkins and knives, but no glasses, no forks, spoons, menus...

We ordered Calamari, chicken souvlaki, and beef souvlaki.

The Calamari was brought to our table Shockley fast. It was not particularly tasty on its own, but it was served with a very flavorful tzatziki sauce. The sauce was overwhelmingly garlic-y.

Next came out main platters, which were rice, Greek salad, and a seasoned potato, with our choice of meat.

Rice was good, perfectly flavored, perfectly cooked.

Salad was good, tasty, and fresh, although the red onion could have been toned down a bit.

Chicken was AWFUL. I actually had to wait until our server came by, so that I could get some water to swallow the chicken. It tasted flavorless and had no moistness to it. I definitely would not order the chicken again.

The beef, was a little more tender? But ultimately lacked any flavor.

For dessert we tried their Tiramisu, which was good. In fact, it was the best part of the meal.

Final bill: $130, for that price I expect much better :(

The overall feel of the restaurant is friendly and relaxed. The sablefish was amazing - dessert too. I would definitely go back

Reserved on this site a table for 2 away from Foot traffic, bar and restrooms. Guess where they put us? Right where we asked not to be!!! So much for reserving! We ordered double order of prawns and extra Greek salad souvlaki with spaghetti and meatballs. The salad came warmer than the other food! Then 2/3 thru this below palatable meal, the owner asked us if everything was ok only to park His Butt in my wife’s space so he could chat with friends on the other side if the pony wall! Disgusting flatulence and a poor meal do not warrant a favourable review in this run down poor excuse for a restaurant. Way overpriced for sub-mediocre food and service. Won’t be going there again!!!

A great family restaurant with exceptional food, generous portions and a warm reception. One of our favorite places to go when we’re in Vancouver. It’s tucked into a neighbourhood, away from the big city entertainment areas, has an original feel and is obviously popular with the local people. A great place to unwind with friendly staff. I always leave feeling like it was time (and money) well spent!

Always a favourite neighbourhood dining experience. Great food. Wonderful staff.

Great food in a long time Vancouver restaurant

Wanted quick meal with good food and service. Accomplished

Our guests and us had a mixed dinner experience. We were early diners, service was very good, noise at the start with light to moderate. The restaurant was packed with diners waiting at the front door, and noisier by the time we left. The food was also mixed - the greek salads were very good, the greens salad with so-so but the blue cheese dressing was right out of the kraft bottle and poor. We also had the wild mushroom appetizer and would not recommend them to anyone - bit of an off taste and way to much garlic, I was tasting them for hours afterward. Entrees were all very good (lamb shank, lamb chops, fish pasta and baby back ribs).

The meal was excellent and so was the service. However, even though I confirmed the reservation I made with you online, the restaurant did not have it. This was an inconvenience for both my party and the restaurant. I will not use your reservation service again.

We all had the chicken souvlaki, very generous portions, and the food arrived hot and fresh!
So full, no room for dessert!
Our waiter was very warm and friendly, gave us lots of time to make our choices.
One person had a mustard allergy, and it was not a problem to accommodate.

Friendly and attentive staff and owner. A great family-run restaurant with plenty of excellent dishes to choose from. We had their customary yummy Thanksgiving turkey dinner with all the fixings, and will return next year for the same. I have been going to Minerva's for a good many years, and it is my all-time favourite restaurant!

The food was outstanding, delicious I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Minerva's has been in Kerrisdale for many years and always provides a great casual dining experience with a good menu and service. The "neighbourhood" atmosphere was really nice. The quality of the food was outstanding, although what was offered as sockeye salmon was actually pink salmon. Despite that, the caper sauce and pasta were very tasty. The wine list was varied and it was nice to have Barre 41 next door for a pre-dinner drink or light meal. I have been there many times and will keep going back!
