From July 4 to 20, enjoy specially priced three-course tasting menus at Minami Toronto by Head Chef Nao Akutagawa and MICHELIN-awarded Head Pastry Chef Aiko Uchigoshi. The Summerlicious Lunch Menu is $48 and features dishes such as the Minami Sushi Selection, Nanban Chicken Salad, or Udon Noodles with a Wagyu add-on, followed by desserts like our Premium Matcha Ice Cream Sundae or Layered Carrot Cake. Summerlicious Dinner is $65 and offers a refreshing Madai (Red Snapper) Crudo, your choice of Saikyo-miso Sablefish, or Beef Tenderloin Steak, and a Mango Pudding or Matcha Ice Cream Sundae. The food is overall pretty good - HIGHLY recommend the scallop oshi. The salmon oshi was pretty good, and the Minami roll was could have more flavour. The sauce with the charred broccolini was good, but I’m glad we tasted the other dishes first - the char taste from the grill was so overpowering that we couldn’t taste any of the flavors of the sushi after eating a piece of the broccolini. I was tasting the char hours later even after dessert. I also had the Sakura Spritz, and it was sweet and refreshing and perfect for summer.

Wonderful dinner very delicious I have the charcoal chicken and avocado maki roll. beautiful ambience and very pleasant and attentive service. Loved it! But we were celebrating two birthdays and they never brought anything out for dessert with a candle so not sure if they just do that but I did write that in on reso and even hostess knew.

My sincere apologies for the missed note about the candle for dessert, that is something we do normally do for our guests to help celebrate the occasion. I can only assume it was a miscommunication between staff, so again I do apologize for that. Came to Minami for my birthday dinner! The starters & entrees were amazing! The sushi was so fresh & beautifully presented. If you are not a fan of sushi, they have other options! I highly recommend coming here!

Not a “sushi” restaurant. Rice has been sitting and seaweed was very chewy. Small plates were ok, but rolls and sushi dishes were subpar. Lots of rice and fish was either small portions or tasted extremely fishy.
