   Greeted warmly and seated immediately. Great lunch menu. Food was delivered quickly. Presentation was beautiful. Every bite of everything we tried was delicious, and the flavours were incredible. Loved the scallop oshi, skipjack roll, and gyoza. Service was perfect. Will definitely be back.

   Very cool place, but some of the tables are located not far from the front door and you really feel a cold draft every time the door opens. The food and service however was fantastic!

We are waiting for parts to repair the outermost door which does impact the temperature in the dining room as it's not closing properly. We'll have it fixed in a few weeks.    Excellent location to theatre, symphony,TIFF Well appointed interior. Poor lighting. Very loud despite not being full. Order mix up was noticed and handled very professionally by wait staff. Service was prompt. Which really helps if attending a performance. Sushi, rolls were superb.

   Always looking for a good Japanese restaurant in Toronto. The menu here is inventive. I would return for the food despite the extremely mediocre service. The main waitress was extremely inattentive and really contributed to a detraction of the experience. The service was saved by the young man on the reception desk who was working the tables in between welcoming guests. The space is the former Greek restaurant that was a staple in the entertainment district forever. The Japanese restaurant is a refreshing rework of the space. Making reservations was easy.

I appreciate your comments, and I'm glad to hear that our service lead assisted during the high volume span of service to ensure you had a reasonable experience. Admittedly, we had a much larger group of guests than we'd initially prepared for and the team did their best with what was available. Spring is a challenging time of year for predicting dining habits because of the weather and various concerts providing a lot of variability. Thank you for your patience and kindness towards our menu. We appreciate you dining us and mentioning Penelope's. We keep a calamari on the menu in tribute to our predecessor. We've become a stalwart of the neighborhood in no small thanks to what was here before. We hope to host you again. Nicholas, General Manager

   We went to eat but we only got tasty service. It's very expensive.
