Great choices in drinks & food. The bar is always delightful. I had red snapper, friends had shrimp & grits, trout. All were satisfied. I gave service a high mark because I know you're a little short handed post-COVID. It will all be better when you are fully staffed.
The only thing I'd ask to be different is mosquito control on the back patio. Dining out there was perfect, but the mosquitos were noticeable and plentiful.
We'll be back, for sure.
Food was average. Prices were somewhat high for the quality and amount of food. Bread plates, but no bread(!) Flavors on entrees didn’t go together
Beat place in Black Mountain for brunch!
Great location for Sunday brunch, especially if you're staying on premises, as we were. Husband loved the eggs Benedict, while I had the Brioche French toast with applewood-cured bacon. Delisious, and the service was great!
Great place to eat. Good food, wine and drinks. Definitely will return.
Outstanding food! Husband had the hangar steak and cleaned his plate. I had the trout and it was delicious. The cornbread with honey butter was a delicious starter. We skipped dessert but had the boozy coffee (since we were staying on premises), and it was great, as was the conversation on the back patio after dinner.
This was the first time we had dined at Milton’s. We were impressed by the quality of the food and nuanced flavoring of everything from the cocktails to dinner. Our server, Hunter, was excellent. We will be making this one of our go-to dining spots.
Such a great local restaurant! Charming and food is excellent. Love this place. The only thing I would critique them on is their limited wine menu. Wish they would add some interesting good quality wines especially reds. They don’t have to be pricey … there are lots of good wines that are reasonably priced.
Varied menu; excellent presentation; very tasty preparation; efficient and polite service.
Our favorite place in Black Mountain. Jennifer was our server and she was just wonderful!
Daughter and I were in to
Enjoyed our brunch at Miltons, everything was perfect!
Great service & food!
We really enjoyed our dining experience. Food and service was great.
The setting was amazing on a perfect late spring evening. We dined on the patio starting with Orange Blossom GT and the Smoked old Fashioned. Three of had the trout and our fourth had the red snapper. Delicious! The bread pudding and bourbon pecan pie were a great finish. The wait staff was attentive but not hovering. I could just hang out at bar.
Another fabulous Smash Burger combination. Great service too.
Took my friend there for her birthday. The patio was so nice and relaxing. It was Wednesday so we had half priced bottles of wine. The food and service was superb!! I will be back again for sure!
Loved this experience - great service and an incredible meal!
Food and drinks were very good in pleasant surroundings. The staff made an extra effort to feel welcome.
A tremendous experience. Great cocktails, food and service! We have to come back to try the rest of the menu.
Nice location in the Monte Verde Inn. We sat in the Garden Room which is full on natural light. Service was outstanding. We enjoyed the pimento cheese (just a little zesty) as an appetizer. The omelet with peppedews was very tasty and was cooked to order which for us is very firm and done through. Also we had the french toast which is recommended.
Wonderful food, excellent service and great patio
Quality of food and service was just as good as the last time we ate here.
very comfortable atmosphere, nice staff(competent staff), good food. Our server (I'm sorry I forgot her name) was pleasant and attentive. With all the overrated restaurants out there, it's always nice to find one that is worth returning to. Miltons is one of those.
We are locals and we visit Milton's every chance we get. This was a delicious anniversary brunch, outdoors on the lovely patio, with wonderful service and all the ambiance we could ask for. Thank you! (And the locals discount is an extra nice new touch!)
Food was great and outside seating was very nice and comfortable.
Milton’s was beautiful, our waiter was superb, the whole experience was more then we thought. We will go back!
This is a nice place to eat in Black Mountain.
Service was very good. Drinks were great. The food was good but the mushrooms with the hanger steak were overcooked. I was also given a iced teA that was cloudy and undrinkable. It was replaced with fresh as soon as I pointed it out.
I had the trout and it was excellent. The chicken was good and the cauliflower fritters are a repeat. The bread pudding was very good. Overall a very good experience.
Everything we ordered was phenomenal. The drink menu has some really interesting and tasty stuff but the food was excellent. Every item was great. Staff was super attentive and friendly. They said the menu was new so if you haven’t come in awhile I recommend you give it a try.
Change in menu which is always nice for a change in season. However the food was not as good an earlier meal. A few wrinkles to work out with the recipes.
High School graduation
After a number of weeks of missing out on 'Burger Night' we made an outside table reservation for date night. What a lovely evening to dine outside on the patio. Burgers were excellent as always and the service was exceptional. An added highlight was the recent requirement to wear a face mask.
Our server Frances was excellent. She was very pleasant and attentive to our needs.
I thought I could live without ever eating cold acorn squash with custard baked in it, but I was horribly, horribly WRONG. My husband had the flounder which was perfection. The service was great and the atmosphere was outstanding, although we were grateful to be seated in the garden room as the music inside was a bit loud for conversation. The prices, though above our normal budget, were really reasonable for the quality of the food we received. (It was a treat for our anniversary.) The only .... surprise was that the butternut squash bisque had almost no butternut squash flavor in it. It was still DELICIOUS mind you - just wasn't what I expected. And we could've easily made a meal out of the corn muffins and wild berry jam that accompanied. The buffalo chicken sliders with pimento cheese app was spot on, and whatever drink it was that my husband got was yummy! Sorry I can't remember the name...it had bourbon and a cherry and a "king cube" in it.
Nice place to visit and a great outdoor area to eat or have a drink
Hospitality/staff service was very special! We were
at Milton’s to celebrate a Birthday and an Anniversary
They couldn’t do enough for us; very friendly and professional. Food and bar was very good.
Our server, Morgan was ‘The Best’ !
We will certainly go back when we return to Black Mountain .
We ate at Milton’s for Mother’s Day and loved the delicious brunch. Our only regret was that we were in the last seating and they were out of some of the dishes we had hoped to try. The cheesecake was however the best I have ever tasted and the pulled pork, sweet potatoes, collard greens and Individual pecan pies were all outstanding! We will be back.
Lovely place but late or last reservations does mean you may not get full buffet experience because its at the end and staff is ready to break down and kitchen was not serving all foods that were available to earlier reservations. Desserts were out except for cheese cake but the manager did bring a wonderful piece of carrot cake and he compt one of our meals. Great food that we did get and I will definitely go back and I will tell all my local friends about Milton's....!
We visited Milton's for their Mother's Day experience. I was nervous to go out to eat, but the staff did an excellent job ensuring precautions and safety. The food was great and the drinks were even better! Our server was wonderful, friendly, and relatable.
