Millies is located in the heart of Spring Valley and provides a delicious community dining experience. We focus on fresh coastal cuisine and refreshing, island cocktails. We offer a bright, indoor dining area as well as a large outdoor patio. Our patio also features full service Ice Cream and Take Out Windows.

We accept reservations on a limited basis via OpenTable, but hold the majority of the restaurant for walk-in parties. Because we hold tables for walk-ins, we recommend coming in and if there is a wait, we will seat you as quickly as possible. Generally speaking, everything moves pretty quickly in here and of course the bar areas are first come, first serve.

We do not reserve outdoor tables because we can never be sure of the weather. If you make a reservation, you can request to be seated outside on the patio when a table becomes available.

Food was terrific. We shared a chowder, a salad (a surprisingly good salad dressing with mint,) and a delicious chicken sandwich. Our server was terrific.

I really like Millie's However, they DO NOT really have too much for anyone who is Gluten Free. I have celiac disease and can find options most everywhere these days. I am surprised they do not have options. I had a salad. Not even sure if the dressing was gluten free, so I didn't have dressing. I was disappointed but my husband liked his food.

This is my third visit & I find this place inconsistent at best, I saw a waiter pick up my companion’s beer & put it back down on the service bar. Took 9 minutes for it to be delivered by that time our lunch was over. The food I ordered blacked fish taco’s, arrived cold & not blackened, dry & tasteless. My companion had the tuna tacos & raved how delicious they were. It just depends but I’m reluctant to try again. Black salt is much more reliable.

Heavy handed on the sauces for the entrees and dressings for the salads -- need servers to ask if patrons want those on the side or tell the kitchen to layoff the volume Error in the dessert -- ordered coffee ice cream for my child and chocolate was delivered instead (shouldn't be that difficult for kitchen to know the difference between the ice creams) Food has become very expensive here -- will not frequent as often due to that Service was pleasant and attentive

Great place to meet friends for lunch! Had an a roomy booth and took advantage of the lunch special. We all loved our selections! Then, sat and talked with friends for a couple hours, never feeling pushed out the door. In fact, a woman came over and said how glad she was to have us linger and offered us coffee. Just felt easy-going and fresh, yet lively, which is a joy around the DC-Metro area where everything always seems fast and rushed.

Loud yuppie parents and terrible acoustics. I love the brunch. Excellent huevos rancheros and crab hollandaise. And I loved my Paloma. This place is fun. And sit on a side near the windows or outside if you wNt to hear your guest say anything.

I love this restaurant. BUT, the noise level borders on the horrific. My husband and I finally gave up and just smiled at each other. Mind you, I have no problem with the families and kiddies, I just believe the owners should invest in some soundproofing baffles. It’s all hard surfaces and the ceiling is open so the sound is amplified. Staff and food are terrific

Very good food, good staff. This is a good place to visit. Be aware there are a lot of hard surfaces, so the space can get quite loud (less of a problem in warmer months when you can sit outside...).

A wide variety of casual yet upscale food. Love the Nantucket vibe with yummy lobster and cod and Cisco brewery specialties. It was quite noisy but when warm weather comes and everyone moves to the patio, it should be a more charming atmosphere. Prices are competetive.

Having been to the original Millie's on Nantucket, I was excited to try the one in Spring Valley. The ambiance was nice, open and energetic with patrons. We had a great seat against the same wall as the bar so it provided a nice overview of the restaurant. The food was good, but I think I bit overpriced for what you get. I would go back, but I will pay more attention to what I order to get a better value. $17 dollars for a salad is a bit much. Cheers!

The food was delicious which is the only reason for my recommendation. The service was pretty terrible. My friends and I split a few things: clam chowder, shrimp tacos, tuna sashimi, peach bruschetta, beet salad. All beautifully plated and scrumptious. However, regarding the service... upon arriving, I was seated first and sat for a good 10 minutes before someone asked if I wanted a drink. During that time, there were about 5 servers socializing at the bar next to my table. The waiter did not check in once during our meal while all of our wine and water glasses were empty. When I sat down, I told the host that we were celebrating my friend's birthday and he gave me a blank stare. Waiter did not ask if we wanted coffee or dessert; he simply brought the check. I'll go back because of the food, but the service could use some serious work.
