A lovely experience although the waitresses seemed to want to turn the table over,so we were rushed a little.
but the noise level was high as there were lot of people in the building and the band was playing but we could not hear them as the noise level from lot of people speaking was interrupting listening to the band.
enjoyed my trip. 2 seater tables are fairly close together however the building in general is very noisy so it didn't invade on your privacy.
Attentive service in a great venue, coupled with a consistent high standard of food
Millies is always a good choice!
Millies is one of the many restaurants in the The Ned. They are all similar in that they are in one huge open space, but they do provide different experiences but greatly different menus and furniture etc. The service was first class, the food very good however not excellent or particularly good value.
Lovely brunch especially with the live band!
Lovely afternoon tea treat . Would highly recommend for special occasions
Always love bringing someone new here and seeing their faces as they walk in! Lovely food, great service and beautiful surroundings
Very beautiful place, although it was pretty noisy. The service was excellent and the food also was of high standard. Would recommend.
The tables near the bar on a Thursday or Friday evening for four are too close to the bar. People were standing right next to me with rucksacs and hitting my head as tables are low. Asked to move and all was sorted by friendly staff but beware of this restaurant being over powered by noisy drinkers at bar. Restaurant needs to consider diners and if it is a bar or restaurant. Magic man was brilliant and unexpected
Perfect service, very friendly staff. Fish was OK but not outstanding. Desert was good
Amazing service and beautiful atmosphere. Fabulous for an occasion
Fab visit to Millie’s Lounge for afternoon tea for my mums birthday treat! Great food, staff very attentive and friendly, atmosphere lovely! We will definitely book again and recommend to friends. Thanks again x
Fabulous surroundings, excellent service, scones were top notch. Have had fresher sandwiches & better cakes at The Berkeley
We ordered fish. Understand there are bones but myself and my friend couldn’t even eat the meal it was full of bone, we know how to debone a fish but it was ridiculous, undercooked and swimming in butter. Cauliflower was rock hard. Such a shame
We love eating out, however, this experience was a huge disappointment. I had booked Millie’s Lounge, within The Ned, for my husband’s birthday treat as he used to work for HSBC. We live in Bedfordshire and had made the trip up to London with another couple for this meal ahead of seeing a show later on. As we wanted to go straight from the restaurant to the theatre, I had reserved the table from 4pm until 6pm. We received a warm welcome initially on arrival and enjoyed some delicious cocktails whilst we looked at the menu. The waitress who was taking our order had a rather abrupt and impatient manner, which made us feel she wanted to hurry us up. When our starters arrived, my friend took a spoonful of her potted prawns and voiced her concerns that they tasted warm and tasted a bit odd. Obviously, they should have been served chilled and so we called the waitress over who in turn summoned her boss. To her credit, she immediately offered to exchange the dish for something else, so my friend then chose soup. There was a delay in serving this of course which meant that our friend ended up eating on her own. The main course for three of us was a real disappointment. We had chosen lemon sole, which proved to be fairly tasteless and unfortunately, as soon as we had all prepared our fish by removing the skeleton bone from the fillet, the lights were dimmed so much that we could hardly see what we were eating. As there remained many bones around the outer edges, we had to resort to using the lights on our phones to be able to see them, in spite of having asked the waitress for another candle. My husband had chosen a chicken dish, which was unremarkable and there was too much on his plate. In our opinion, both the food and wine were extremely overpriced in view of the fact that it was all very average. Our bill was over £300 (inflated by a service charge which I now wish I had asked to be removed). Nothing special was done for my husband’s s birthday. We will not return.
Lovely afternoon tea and glass of prosecco with a friend
Perfect for a coffee with a client... very comfortable
Great location and meeting would recommend
we had a business lunch and i requested to be seated in a quiet area but we were seated next to the drop off of the dishes. It was very hard to listen to each other and have the meeting. That was the only disappointment. the waiters were making lots of noise dropping of the plates.
Beautiful ambiance, the food was really good but not great. Would definitely recommend the experience.
All round amazing experience! From the hostess at Millie’s to the barman to the waitress just bloody brilliant five star service! Can’t wait to return 🙌🏻
Great atmosphere, food and service with live entertainment, what more could you ask for. Will definitely be returning.
Enjoyable breakfast meeting with colleague. As always staff and surroundings very nice. Would like the breakfast items to be served on one plate don’t need them all separate. The filter coffee is nice but a little over priced
It's a fantastic ambience with (pretty average) live music. I guess you pay for that in the food price.
The food was good and generous helpings. Though it is so dark that everyone (including waiters) has to use their mobile light to see the menu!
Birthday and fabulous
It was a beautiful experience. I have been there once before and took my friend there. She thoroughly enjoyed it and will be taking her partner there.
a very nice setting for food. A basic british menu but very nicely prepared. a little surprised with the Heinz bottles on the table but maybe tourists like that kind of thing
Lovely food and amazing service.
Ambience at the Ned can't be beaten. Where Millie's Lounge is let down is the wait staff. If you're a party of two seated on the sofa near the entrance it's seemingly impossible to get their attention.
I was expecting to have the Sunday Brunch, but only when we were given the menu did I doscover that it was not available that day. I was not informed beforehand. The food was average, the main course was a large piece of chicken with three large roast potatoes and no vegtables. Disappointing overall but there was a nice atmosphere.
Wonderful service excellent food beautiful setting What’s not to like
Civilised quiet, a very nice place for a business lunch or breakfast. It gets a lot busier in the evening but is still a nice place to go.
Was a very pleasant but my mum had planned a birthday celebration which she had phoned up in advance for as a little surprise, however my birthday was not acknowledged at all while we were there.
Afternoon tea is good value, beautiful to look at, with attentive service. Additional sandwiches if you want them free of charge, and more sweet stuff/cakes than you’ll manage. Decent champagne too. Only negative is noise level - live music, wraparound bar, lots of tables (and therefore lots of talking) make it very lively but difficult to converse across the table without shouting. Ask for table to the LEFT of the bar as you face it (in the lounge proper) for a more chilled experience.
The food was well presented yet uninspiring with too few vegetarian (and no vegan) options available.
first visit to the Ned and what an experience, all aspects 100%, even the bill at the end was very reasonable, definitely visit again and have told all our friends and family how good it was
Stunning venue. Food was excellent and staff were super nice, pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. Only complaint was the noise level, it was hard to listen to the conversation at my table due to noise from the bar.
Waitress lovely. Food was reasonable. Place is very chavvy. Girls with orange fake tans fake boobs and massive lips laying across the bathroom sinks taking selfies. Had to queue to wash my hands because of the pouting selfie brigade.
Always a pleasure. Lovely ambience and food is good quality. We bought three pots of tea, but pot in cermani rather than metal so it does get cold quick.
