Food was excellent, the wine list better and the service was the best. Well done Millies 😀
We had a delightful brunch - not rushed at all. Good value. Live music from the bandstand in the centre. Would definitely recommend.
Millie’s is a wonderful place to have dinner. Food is fantastic and service attentive.
Only slight downside is that it is noisy and anyone hard of hearing will struggle.
Unfortunately the food was really bad. I love The Ned, but genuinely felt sick for 24 hours after eating at Millie's.
Really top quality food in the lovely Ned environment.
Very nice. Low style chairs made sitting forward to eat not ideal for aged customers.
Expensive but excellent. Great staff. Loved the live music, but the acoustics of the large space made it too invasive
Very unimpressed with the service. Had to fight to get the offer booked via opentable honoured. The replenished sandwiches took 30 mins to arrive and when arrived, were terribly presented and using stale bread!!
Furthermore, they were lots of people from the bar just leaning on our table.
The Ned is amazing, the decor is beautiful and I always feel like I’m in New York in the incredible 24/7 ambience of fun & class. However the staff did remind us 4 times we only had our table for two hours, which is annoying when you pay a lot of money and want to relax. Also the food at Millie’s is average. The best bit about coming here is the atmosphere!
Great atmosphere and ambiance
Staff were first class couldn’t do enough for us
Made a birthday lunch very enjoyable
Great venue for breakfast or indeed any time. Staff are lovely, food great.
Service was fair, ambience was also ok. The food was below average - the turkey was dry. Decent wine list but at £115/person definitely not value for money. The end of our visit was made unpleasant by rude and poorly-trained floor personnel. At 7.05pm I was asked to vacate a 4-seater in the eating area because of another booking at 7pm. I was reminded again at 7.06pm. This is unacceptable. If you have a booking at 7pm you must inform me at 6.45pm that I have 15 minutes to vacate the table. Poor customer experience. I shall not be returning. I shall not be recommending this place to anyone either
Slow service - we asked the waiter to come back in two minutes for the order. We had to chase them again after fifteen minutes.
We had a great experience at the hands of Jack and his team. Food was great and the service was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit to Millie's Lounge.
Breakfast with my mum
We had a lovely breakfast as part of a weekend birthday celebration. We brought a 7-month old who had their own seat and had a wonderful time. Amazing food and fantastic service. Thank you!
The food and drinks were fantastic.
The only downside was the service, the waitress we had on our table was quite pushy and tried to speed us along through the meal.
After our mains, we decided to go outside and get some fresh air. We let the waitress know and she consisted to tell us we needed to order desserts and we wouldn't have the table for much longer. Baring in mind we had only been there for 45 minutes, ordered two mains and bottle of wine and we' re planning on staying for drinks afterwards. I then told her the table next to us had been there before we even got there, and she replied in saying it was a table of four, so they can stay longer.
I felt her approach come across pushy and lacked high level of service, just because we are table of 2 doesn't mean the level of service should be any different. we still spent over 120 pounds.
I've been to the ned many times, and I've always had a great level of service. It was a dissipating experience and it was bit rubbish to feel less important and rushed out of their.
Mediocre food at City prices, but great atmosphere especially with the live music. Its a good location right next to Bank tube so easy to get to. There's a choice of bars / eats, so a bit of variety on offer. We got moved on from our table each time, either for next guests or Ned members, so didn't feel that valued having spent over £150.
Poor food.l, o
Overrated venue with no atmosphere.
Food and service was great however the place is too loud with people standing right next to you at the bar plus live music (which was nice) we could hardly hear each other. I actually had to move my chair closer to where my partner was sitting to have a decent conversation.
Food service and ambiance were all exceptional looking forward to returning very soon
A great atmosphere good food only let down by having to wait a long time for service throughout
Our waitress was really good, the music was the right level and food good
Amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere would definitely recommend.
Been to millies lounge half a dozen times now & never disappoints ,good food , service, and really nice to listen to the live music while dining.
The waiting staff at Millies were very friendly and service was good in general. One thing I do have to say is that I ordered a bottle of prosecco in advance to be brought to the table but instead of leaving this in an ice bucket on our table, they served it straight away with our afternoon tea. Not so impressed with the afternoon tea contents after being here before when it seemed much nicer.
We also went to the bar after vacating our table and found the bar staff were arrogant and not customer friendly.
Such a shame as I love the ambience and overall love the open plan design
Really lovely place to have breakfast! Food is reasonably priced and tastes delicious.
The only positive thing about our dinner at Millie’s was the atmosphere and the free warm sourdough bread! We had the endive salad that was boring with endless leaves, chips that were soggy and lukewarm, cauliflower cheese that lacked flavour, and the chopped salad that left me hungry. We ended the meal with their pavlova which was the worst pavlova I’ve ever had. It was crispy and not chewy and topped with creme fraiche. Why ruin a classic and just put on some freshly whipped cream?! Finally check your bill at the end of the night. They “accidentally“ added a cheese platter and sorbet (that we didn’t order) to our bill.
We LOVED it!! The ambiance was so lovely, the staff super friendly and the food wonderful.
Excellent in every way but on a Thursday eve it was difficult to hold a conversation.
The front of house staff are really not very welcoming. They would not let my elderly guest sit at our table just 15 minute before our booking even though there was plenty of space. I am a vegetarian, and there is really limited choice which is disappointing.
We had a fantastic meal at Millie's Lounge. The chocolate board sharing dessert is one of the best desserts I have ever had (and that is high praise as dessert is my favourite part of any meal). I am a huge chocolate fan and this is a dream for chocolate lovers!
Fantastic place, felt a bit overwhelmed by the size of it but really friendly and helpful staff great setting accompanied by live music a real eye opener would definitely go back, the occasion for us going there was for my wife’s birthday, she said it was the best birthday she’d ever had says it all.
My first time dining here properly ie not just snacks and loved it. Great food, good cocktails and wine list, service was good and accommodating and the desserts were amazing, though they forgot it was a special occasion, a birthday. Will be back, thanks
Afternoon Tea with a friend. 1 glass of champagne
Couldn’t fault the service and the food was excellent loved the live music and was just the right volume to listen to as well as chat to friends, drinks a bit pricey but hey we was in London listening to a live show
Had shepherds pie. So dry it was not good. No egg with our steak ,we had to ask TWICE for it. Mine came up later as they dropped mine on some poor unsuspecting guy. Very dark in there so couldnt really see what we was eating. Chips were dry. Rice and Kale was stone cold.
Overall food experience was below average. We ordered scallops for starter and burger for main. The starter was £17 and it came with 3 scallops only. Taste was nothing amazing, just normal. Burger was a dissapointment. It did not feel fresh and the taste overall was below average. The atmosphere, the live music and location of Millie's Lounge in the Ned is amazing. I wouldn't go back to Millie's for food, but would go back for drinks at their bar.
First table given was on top of bar which was 5 deep, asked for a move and another table was offered.
My starter was okay but main roast chicken was v poor. 6 hard roast potatoes and 2 large slabs of meat. No stuffing or veg. Very sad plate.
Staff were excellent and only paid service charge due to staff as food v poor.
Bands were excellentl.
A great quality place!!
