Always reliable! Terrific food, attentive and professional service, and wonderful ambiance. Definitely our most favorite restaurant in the entire SD area.
Outdoor patio is charming!
Great food and drinks. Followed COVID protocol. Staff were very attentive.
I am looking forward to my next experience at Mille Fluers!
Waited outside for 10 minutes, was not let into bar area, but others were?? Was not told on-line that main menu was not going to be available on 2-14-21. Corking fee $40.00 really.
The food is truly exceptional, the highest quality and excellently seasoned in every dish.
With the Covid shut downs, the service has suffered, not in delays but in delivery. Plates put on the table without regard to a person's order, not even confirming the accuracy. Appetizer arriving after the first course. Wait staff appeared inexperienced and indifferent. Waiter's used to be in command of the servidce. Inside seating is spaced for social distance but our advice is to reject seating near the bar in both directions. If you don't care about foul language and loud conversations several tables away you might relent to seating near the barroom. Obviously, the restaurant atmosphere has also suffered significantly with the pandemic. Will this restaurant recover service and atmosphere? Or will it lose its chefs?
Fantastic food! Authentic veal wiener schnitzel was delicious. And the gratin potatoes were the best I have ever had! Our waiter Douglas made for a wonderful dinner! We will be back!
Always fabulous ... expensive but worth it.~ Lunch $390 for 3 people
This is my favorite restaurant anywhere. The food is excellent, and the service is friendly, efficient, and highly professional. The restaurant is expensive but so is a Porsche. It is worth it!
Mille Fleurs has been a consistently outstanding restaurant over many years ... tonight was no exception. Fabulous food, service and ambience defines this best restaurant in San Diego county.
MF is a gem and it’s staff simple the best in every sense. Sophisticated yet friendly, informed and experienced yet familiar. The food always on point. Patio dining is romantic and special.
Amazing! Best quite date night spot. The service is the best in San Diego. Amazing Patio, beautiful food and overall lovely experience.
It was our first visit at Mille Fleurs celebrating a birthday. We will be back!
The outside patio dining makes you think you are out of town in a quaint little village. The service is fantastic and the food was delicious.
The service was awesome
The food is great
Love this place
Mille Fleurs is a San Diego institution, best food, service and ambience! Always our family’s first choice.
As usual, the restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food, ambiance, service, and overall experience were wonderful.
Nice place. Nice service. Food was good.
Solid fine dining, good service and atmosphere despite recent COVID-19 limitations
Thanksgiving.
First and second courses were excellent. Desert was average. Too sweet.
Always the perfect destination.
Simply the best in Southern California. After dozens of visits over 15 years, Bertrand Hug never disappoints.
Very nice and relaxing evening for my wife and me on our date night!
A delicious respite! Mille Fleurs' cuisine is prepared and served by people who dearly love food. It's a lovely sanctuary and we felt as if we were on vacation in Paris. They have a beautiful patio with so many heat lamps you could sit outside in 50 degree temperature without a coat. If I could give it 6 stars I would!
Superb in every respect. Impeccable, knowledgable service. Wonderful job of transforming the courtyard into a magical “room”. And the food is better than ever. An oasis in the 2020desert.
You must try the homemade chocolate ice cream. It's so creamy and flavorful. I only get one scoop, but I could eat several!
Excellent food. Salmon was superb! Wonder service. Definitely a favorite eatery.
I’ve been to Mille Fleurs many times and had a decent dinner there however this time was different. Overall the food was not that good and three in our party ordered the beef Bourguignon. Now mind you this is a French restaurant. They served with pasta which had absolutely no flavor and it literally looked like 2 tablespoons of beef bourguignon was put on the plate maybe two pieces of meat. We complained and they brought out a cereal bowl full of additional stew and proceeded to ladle two more tablespoons onto the plate it was completely ridiculous. I don’t know what they’ve done but I will never go there and eat again. We even brought our own wine and the bill was almost $500 and I’m so disappointed!!!!
Mille Fleurs is a special experience with good food, wine, service and atmosphere.
It is one of the best rrestaurants in San Diego. Welcoming ambient, professional staff, nice variety in the menu and great chef. It is a bit on the pricey side but it is so worth! I can’t wait to return.
So the service was particularly SLOW. Got our appetizers in a timely fashion, but waited over 50 minutes after to get our entrees. Was told it was because of several large parties, but we only saw one party.
Also, while food taste was excellent, the portion size was quite small, especially given how much we paid for each entree.
Have had better service at this restaurant before; could have just been an "off" night.
Absolutely delicious French onion soup and very fresh salads. The service is always superior and the patio is beautiful.
wonderful lunch at one of the finest place in san diego. ★★★ great wine list and great service.
I’m sorry but the food was very bland, lacking in salt and flavor. I had escargot, deviled eggs and short rib tagliatelle, neither of which I enjoyed.
The one drink I had I did enjoy, it was the French Kiss.
Service was good.
Would return for a drink, and dinner if I’m feeling lazy.
Loved everything except the table of 10 who come every Friday to eat and smoke cigars. We were seated outside as far as possible but one man was aware of our issues with both the smoke and smell. He deliberately walked and puffed past our table three time. The ending discussion was not pleasant. But does not reflect on food or staff.
Wonderful evening for our 20th wedding anniversary
Mille Fleur is such a gem in our community.
The outdoor patio is a fabulous place to dine during Covid.
The food is always delicious and the staff is wonderful.
It’s one of our favorite restaurants in the SD area!
beautiful setting in the courtyard. Quiet setting, you can talk and hear one another. Food was excellent. Our group had the braised short rib, sea bass and veal. Risotto was very good and the deserts were fantastic. The service was very good, we brought two bottles of wine and they served them properly.
We have been celebrating our anniversary off and on at Mille Fleurs for 34 years. This is the first time that it went unrecognized: no complimentary anything! We were truly disappointed.
Thoroughly disappointing
Bland food, mediocre service and a waste of what was once a great restaurant.
My wife ordered the veal and I the sea bass, they were both so off in flavor and so bland, if I’m adding salty to my appetizer, salad and main dish...the chef is not don’t his job. And it’s not it was lacking salt, it just had no flavor. And the waiters reaction to us sending back the dessert because it was inedible...”uhhh okay”
Don’t waste your time and money, moreover, don’t celebrate a birthday or anniversary here, it will be an unforgettable night, but not for the right reason
Great service super food desert was outstanding
Will return soon
