The service was very good. Your restaurant has a very welcoming feel and the food was excellent. Thank you.
Excellent brunch .Server,Christine, was terrific.
Our server was friendly, attentive and personable. He made a good wine recommendation and our food was delicious. The atmosphere is charming and inviting.
It was wonderful! Celebrated my husband’s birthday with friends.
As always, service was great. Swordfish tacos lacked flavor. Would not order them again. But will return for sure.
We always feel welcome here. The atmosphere is very comfortable, the service is always outstanding, and their food is delicious. They have great vegan options as well! I highly recommend them for any occasion.
Cozy table, delicious food and good service!
Decor and lighting were lovely, and we were very happy with our cozy booth. The food underwhelmed us, however, especially as it is expensive. Several items were a bit too spicy for out tastes, and others didn't taste like anything special. The white cheddar grits were good, meanwhile.
Our waitress, while very nice, took quite awhile between visits to the table.
The bill, for three of us, came to $150, and that was without any alcohol. We had hoped for more delicious flavors.
Yum. We've eaten at Mill Valley several times and it never disappoints! We had the SeaBass and the Trout--both were lick-the-plate clean delicious. We also tried the cucumber salad and it was light and tasty and different than expected.
Mill Valley staff were helpful making sure my meal was dairy free due to allergies.
The only downside to Mill Valley is the parking situation. We used Valet as there was no spaces to be had in their lot.
First time at Mill Valley Kitchens and we were very happy with our experience. We were two couples who just got together to chat and catch up. We ordered the smoked salmon appetizer to split between us all. There was a very large portion of salmon, so this worked well. Delicious appetizer. My husband and I split the beet salad, which the kitchen plated separately for us. It was delicious and very full of wonderful beets. I ordered the miso encrusted sea bass, one person ordered the trout and two ordered the pork chop. All of us raved about our food. My seabass was perfectly cooked, which is a real issue for me with fish and seafood - it is so often overcooked. This was just luscious. I had a bite of the pork and the trout and they were also very good. Nothing left on any plates. Our server was a little overzealous, but only one of us four found her annoying. The other three thought she was fun. Unfortunately for us, the table behind us had a gentleman who talked exceptionally loud and we found ourselves having to repeat things as we couldn't hear each other. When he left, the sound level dropped considerably and we enjoyed the rest of our meal. We would go back and we would recommend it to friends.
My partner is totally blind and has a hearing loss. Staff seated us in the private dining room and service was attentive to his comfort. Food was amazing as usual and the recommended featured wine was really enjoyed by the two that had two glasses each!
Deliciously healthy meals, great service and $5 glasses of wine at lunch! Need I say more?
Sarah was great! White wine by the bottle is always lukewarm - the temperature of the chiller is too warm
Been here twice so far. They have a great menu and terrific staff! It can be somewhat noisy during dinner hours, but don’t let that turn you away from this place. Try their young hen! It’s fantabulous!
Great neighborhood gem, high quality consistent food and service.
First time visiting this restaurant and went out with my family for my birthday. The manager was amazing and treated us to the best bottle of wine I've ever had! The food was exceptional and I would highly recommend the short rib! I don't like any seafood but we ordered the Ahi Tuna appetizer and this was also amazing! Very excited to go back!!
The atmosphere was cozy and warm on a cold winter night. I appreciate that the food is healthy, but tastes delicious! True comfort food!
We recently went for happy hour/light supper prior to going to a movie at a theater nearby. It was off of our 'radar screens', but thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the beer. It was a great value and we'll definitely be back for other meals.
Loved the wine paired with the lamb pasta special. Adam, our waiter, was wonderful. Always love the space at MVK.
Mill Valley Kitchen is always a great spot for lunch or dinner. We love their happy hour menu and it is a perfect spot to meet friends for a meal. The seating is arranged so you have enough privacy even when the restaurant is crowded. The wait staff is outstanding.
We enjoyed a lovely brunch with family. We wish we could have had access to the regular dinner menu but that is ok - the food was delicious and satisfied all in our party including gluten free and vegan! We will be back!
Mill Valley was great. What I do not appreciate is Open Table giving me a follow up email to get this review and not having an unsubscribe button. When I replied to the email from open table to let them know- it states that customer service is not getting my email.
I took my daughter out to catch up and wanted a nice evening. They delivered! Service was outstanding, she had a wonderful vegetarian gluten free curry, and the miniature desserts are the perfect size. Just what we were looking for.
Service was AWFUL. Took forever to have drinks delivered, ordered items were forgotten, had to flag down numerous staff for basic requests as our server was off doing who knows what. I've enjoyed Mill Valley in the past but it will be a LONG time before I go back.
Every visit to Mill Valley Kitchen has been delightful.
They were very accommodating to our request for a quieter table. I had the white bean soup of the day with the garden salad. My companions had BLTs which both enjoyed and said were just the right amount. Even though these are commonly found on other menus, I would have to say they were a cut above the average in both taste and presentation.
The staff is friendly and kept our coffee cups warm. Much appreciated!
We have eaten at Mill Valley Kitchen many times and give it a big thumbs up!! The menu is healthy and gives one the break down of calories, etc. We love the omelette and they have a yummy Rachel . Always great service.
Fabulous and what a lovely and enjoyable ambience. Food was superb. I will make this a regular.
Food is as good as it gets and service is always outstanding.
Didn’t need s reservation. Service was great and food was good. There was only 2 of us and I don’t like getting seated side by side in a row of twosome tables. The lack of privacy is irritating. Only complaint.
Wonderful dinner. Fresh ingredients, not over done with flavors. Perfect texture. Sea bass and duck!
Food was good. Server was great a knowledgeable.
The food and service were great, but the portions were extremely small for the price. We enjoyed our meal, but we were both left wanting more dinner after finishing our meal.
Our server, Samantha was outstanding and made our dining experience extraordinarily.
Got the pho with chicken. It was $24 and not with it. My wife for the trout, it was also $24 and maybe with it. Good kids Mac n cheese for my 2 year old. For wait staff and get seating. Overall I think it was over priced.
Friendly and nice
One of best restaurants in Minneapolis. Super healthy and tasty food. Great atmosphere.
Very good happy hour and service. The very salad was awesome
Great food and attentive service at one of our favorite restaurants.
Mediocre food. A "side salad" I was charged for was no more than some lettuce leaves, some slimy, sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Salmon burger was actually tough (!), the bun tasted store bought. Nothing special or tasty in any way.
