    The dining area is essentially in the hotel lobby which didn’t seem to bother our group. I was nervous about the foot traffic and noise, but it turned out to be at a decent volume. The service was fair so there’s plenty of room for improvement. Upon arrival, the staff were not very attentive or timely with requests. It wasn’t busy so not sure why the service wasn’t better. They were very nice throughout the interactions though. The food and drinks were pretty good, well seasoned, and decent portions. The flies flying around were very annoying throughout the majority of our visit.

    We had reservations. There were flies everywhere, there wasn’t enough staff so service was slow/non-existent, and the bar tender made horrible drinks. We never got to eat our food when it finally arrived due to not having all the food included with the meal. After waiting about 10-15 for the remaining food the rest got cold so we left. Never visiting again.

    Waitress unattentive and did not know one of our items went to the wrong table, until being informed by another employee. Also still forgot to bring an item to the table, did not check back after taking our order. Food was delivered by other staff, once she took our order, then we saw her again when she practically threw the check down for me to sign, with no pen

    I knew the restaurant was in the hotel, but we were basically sitting in the lobby. Also, I had to make a deposit for the reservation of $10 per person. It was supposed to be credited on my check, but was not. I didn’t realize it until the next day and had to call several times before I got an answer to have that refunded.

    Our brunch food and service were great! But hey seemed to have lost our reservation and there biting insects around our table. So one less star but I'd definitely come back!

    The Delegate wasn't open and the Milk and Honey food at this location was just fair. It wasn't clear to me on the site that the Delegate opened at 4 pm. And that there was another restaurant on site.

    The staff were extremely customer focused and very knowledgeable about the menu and specialty drinks from the bar. I would highly recommend The Delegate to any discerning customer.

    Kitchen needs some serious help. We were a table of five, entrees took forever to come out. When they finally did, we only received four, and one person in our party was told they were out of what he had ordered, and oh by the way - kitchen is closed now and we can’t cook you anything else. They would not budge, (not even the manager) so he got no dinner, other than what we shared with him. They told us they would make it right by giving us a 25% discount, which in reality was them just removing his entree from the bill.

    It's what I expected from a hotel bar/restaurant. I read the reviews online and I think people don't read the website before they come. It tells you that it's a limited menu for the rooftop and that it's the same menu as the Milk and Honey restaurants. I would say if you are coming for food, just go to the Milk and Honey stand alone restaurants. Service was a lot better than the reviews stated, however we just sat as the hotel bar, so I don't know if that made a difference.

    I reserved the roof space but it was closed due to a private event. Probably would have tried a different location had I known. Customer service was great, food was just ok. May visit again for the bar setting.

    The rooftop patio was gorgeous and exactly what we were hoping for on a beautiful spring evening. But the menu available up top is very limited. Just a few cocktails, wine and some appetizers. Our intention was to have dinner so we ended up going down to the hotel lobby restaurant for dinner after a round of drinks up top. It just didn’t have the same ambiance and my intention was to have an outdoor evening that night.

    Our dinner was very nice. We were seated at a table in the bar area and it wasn't loud. Food was good - the apps and entrees were well timed. The Mediterranean salad was fresh and delicious. I had the grilled chicken added and my friend had the salmon. All good. Others had the fried catfish, and skirt steak. Our evening was outstanding due to our server Amir. He was attentive and personable. Highly recommend The Delegate!

    It took a while for a hostess to come seat my party that had a reservation. Then, it took a good 10-15 minutes before our server/anyone came and brought water, took drink orders, anything. The white fish dip and fried green tomatoes were not good at all- lacked flavor and character. The shrimp and grits were good.

    This was a mother's Day brunch that was supposed to have been a roof top experience but turned out to be a hotel restaurant (Milk and Honey). We have that same restaurant in Maryland. We could have just gone there.

    Service is not great, and the shrimp and grits were way too salty, unable to eat them. Tried to tell the uninterested server but was getting nowhere so I paid the $26 for uneaten food and left. Took over 20 minutes to get a soft drink and it did not appear to be busy. The fries my friend received were good. Room service is even worse.

    I found the menu options a little bit limited. For a place billed as Southern inspired food, I was hoping that that there would be more than 4 or 5 main course options. The service was alright - but the servers were friendly enough. I did appreciate that they helped each other out so that's a plus to see.

    Bartender didnt know how to make an old fashioned. Eggs benedict was overcooked but cold when it came out. Took almost half an hour to pay when we were done. Card was on the ticket and 5 people looked directly at it then ignored us for people from a different ethnic background.

    Was good other than service. We waited 15 minutes to get drinks, then they never brought the drink. When we got the bill we were charged for it and had to ask to have it removed. Food was fast and good.

    Terrible service not just by our server but every table seemed to have complaints. Server checked on my table 1 time and that was to take our order after sitting there for 20 minutes, never came back to the table except when I flagged her down. Table next to ours had a different server and same issue. Luckily my table’s food came correct (not delicious but correct) whereas the table next to ours was all wrong. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Not even worth the cheap Restaurant Week deal.

    The food and drinks were good but the service and experience was okay. We tried for the first time and was hoping for a better experience for our first DC restaurant week. It didn’t seem that the staff were prepared for the holiday and setting. It didn’t seem busy but the server said apologized for being delayed and distant, so we made do.

    Fantastic meal! The shrimp and grits were divine. Plus, the live jazz band was an added touch of class. The chef greeted us personally and sent us home with two delectable cinnamon rolls that we ordered to go, which was tremendous. This DC Bruncher will definitely be back!

    Lunch took an hour and 40 for a scramble, salad, and sandwich. Food lacked flavor. The service was terrible. Had to ask for drink refills at the bar several times. Coffee was cold before they brought creamer. All around mistake to have chosen here to eat.

    Very disappointed. Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated even though the place was nearly empty. Servers were busy dancing to a DJ vs checking in on customers. The burger was bland. No one even asked to see how we wanted the burger fixed. Well done or rare??? The fried green tomatoes were hard and over cooked. No flavor. Too scared to order anything higher $15 for fear of being disappointed again.
