Milestones Grill + Bar - Toronto - Toronto Life
It's the passion in our recipes that makes a visit to Milestones truly unforgettable. Whether you come for a favourite meal or love trying new and trendy dishes, Milestones is all about great food without the pretension. We're an impromptu meeting place for friends and a cozy spot for date nights. We're familiar and friendly, but always on the cutting-edge. We're nights to remember and remarkable flavours to savour. That's how we set the table at Milestones. Be part of the story...
To date, regardless of location, Milestones had never failed to deliver for us. It was the same March 22nd, when 4 of us met for a pre-theater dinner. Service was prompt; at the outset, our waitress asked if we were seeing a play that evening and at what time. We were all very satisfied with our meals-chicken, beef sandwich and spring salad.
Took my friend out for a birthday lunch. The food and drinks were delicious but I did have a couple of issues overall. We got the bruschetta flatbread as an appetizer. I don't usually have appetizers when I go out to eat because I have a small appetite/ stomach so I prefer to save room for the main course but I don't regret it... the appetizer tasted better than I expected! That being said, I ordered the Crispy Sweet Chili Chicken Bowl as my main entree. It was delightful! However, I found it slightly spicier than expected for a sweet chili sauce. Luckily the spice level was still in my tolerance range :) Due to the appetizer from earlier, I did have some of my entree left over so got it packed. Now, here is where I encountered my biggest issue. I did not hold the box excessively tight nor did I mishandle it (tossing or any other rough action) but an hour into my commute, I thought to open it up and snack on 1 or 2 chicken pieces quickly and that's when I noticed that the bottom of the box was cracked and some liquid was leaking. I did not want to take it into my car like that so I ended up throwing it out after I got off the GO train. This really upset me because it tasted good and there was a good amount of it so I was planning to eat it for dinner, but had to make other arrangements.
Before Musical dinner, with some time constraints. This location is ideal for walking to the Ed Mirvish theatre afterwards. I like Milestones. The food is always good (I quite like the Mediterranean Chicken), and the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed good table service.
This is our second time going to this location for the Wednesday date night special of $50.00 - the food and the value for the money is excellent - both our appetizer and main course meals came out piping hot - very rare these days in many restaurants - the location is great - especially if you are going to the Mirvish Theatre on Victoria Street.
Very nice. Food was good and service was exceptional. Very funny waitress and good and attentive.
Did not seem very accommodating regarding analphylaxis to peanuts. Statement was that other patrons with a peanut allergies still ate foods from the deep fryer although the server had just previously warned not to due to cross contamination. The server felt like it wasn’t a bit deal. Ended up just having a salad that had too much dressing on it. Serving sizes were huge, as indicated by the calories counts.
Great location for dinner. The food was ok and the service was slow.
Pre-theatre lunch with kids. Quick service, great food and hot to the theatre on time.
Second time this location before seeing a broadway show. The food was amazing, the service was great! Noise level minimal so you could hear and enjoy the people with us.
Food was delicious, wife loved the crispy chicken and brie on rustic bread, my spicy tia chicken was very tasty, but short on Asian veggies.
Service was excellent. Perfect eatery prior to a Mirvish show.
we made a reservations for 6 pm. our train was delayed and the server was very accomodating because we showed up at 630 pm. she knew we had a show to see at 8 pm so she went over and above to get our drinks quickly and serve our food quickly. she even came to us at 730 pm and told us we should pay so we would get out on time and not be late for the show.
i was very impressed with Angie C. very friendly, happy and an amazing server.
had a great experience and I would go back again!!! xoxox
We were seated without full set of menus , cutlery or napkins. The restaurant ran out of mashed potatoes and cauliflower bites which effected 3 orders at our table. Food took an hour from time of order to arrive at the table. The server was pleasant and we received 3 complimentary slices of cake, however I would not recommend this location.
It was a little too loud but other than that amazing experience
Steak became super dry and the outside edges were burnt
Attentive service. Shared entree without a problem. Common challenge is getting a prime rib to the table hot! Veggies and potato hot from kitchen but the prime obviously waited for them. Meat tastey but cool. Milestones not alone in this.
Overall a good experience. Hot meat would make it 5/5.
No. I very very rarely write a review of my restaurant experience. The food was extremely disappointing. It was under-cooked and very poor value. Will not return
We arrived at 5:35 p.m. and we each had a cocktail, which were the only good thing at Milestones. At the table adjacent to us, we saw three separate sittings, arrive, be served, eat, and leave, all before we were ever asked what we would like to order for our dinner. We ordered our dinner at 7 p.m. Our food -- steak /prime rib was stone COLD, and so were the french-fries and the greasy fried onions on top of the steak. The food was tasteless and cold, but we did not ask for our food to be reheated for fear that it would take too long . We had a theatre to attend at 8:00 p.m. It took us another twenty minutes to get checked-out because our waitress took our gift card and disappeared for quite some time. Although we voiced our disappointment, all the manager could offer was that this is our busy time and it's to be expected. The bill was approximately $80. Our experience was entirely disappointing.
Staff were very accommodating for my friend, they adapted a recipe to make it gluten free.
Absolutely YES! We were greeted warmly, and the service was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious (try the Mediterranean Chicken) Bcause it was a birthday celebration, were comped a piece of chocolate cake that was yummy. There was a great view from the window. All in all a very good experience.
Great food, fair prices, quick service and no reservations required for the bar/high tops. Always a great experience!
Nice quick meal before a show.
A busy Saturday night, but our server took it in stride and took our orders and had our food to our table in record time. Meals were good and we enjoyed our evening at the restaurant. It was then off to our show nearby.
Very delicious tuna salad! We all enjoyed each of our dishes!
This was our second visit in two months. Food was served cold both times. Washrooms very dirty (garbage cans overflowing). We will not be returning.
Good service - here for a birthday brunch.
I'm only sad and sorry I never ate here until my bday I love eating out it's my thing but my for some odd reason I never made it to milestone's I never enjoyed a meal as much as I did that night I have never been pleased with taste flavour ect of my meal as I was that night I went to Joey's and keg previous weeks back and no comparison I'm excited to come back try different meals the waiter was so helpful thank you I told all my co workers and friends about how good my meal was thank you so much 💗
The food was incredible and the staff an amazing job catering to dairy allergy.
Went with a friend prior to going to a play. Service (friendly and prompt), menu selection, the food, value for the price, and the ambiance were all very good. We look forward to trying out the place once the outdoor balcony is open. Looks like it would be a great view. I recommend it for an occasion like prior to a movie or theatre production in the area.
My cousin and I have been to Milestones at the Yonge-Dundas Centre many times because we have subscription tickets to Mirvish Productions. Whenever we are going to a performance at the Ed Mirvish Theatre we go to Milestones. The restaurant has an agreement with Mirvish Productions so we get a 15% discount. We also like the food and the service. This time there was a new healthy options menu, which I really enjoyed. We will definitely return!
Service was slow. Food was meh and overpriced. Wasn’t an overall good experience. Won’t be returning
Reservations recommended on Friday night. The place was packed! All the staff were helpful and friendly. Our server was fantastic, making sure we got our food quickly and were out in time to get to the theatre.
All in all very good. The washrooms could use more attention to ensure they are clean and well supplied. The stalls shouldn’t be running out of toilette paper especially during the dinner rush timeframe.
Food was average - poorly prepared and not what we ordered.
Everything was great.
Great staff - very friendly. The food tasted great - kitchen staff do a great job.
Very loud. Service was fabulous. We had an early theatre time and the waitress was able to provide us with excellent service and made sure we were out in time. The mgr came over thinking they got our order was wrong but it was correct. However my sister ordered a small steak which was tough but flavour was good. I ordered romachicken which was delicious but pasta was way too soft. So the mgr gave us free coffee and dessert. I can’t complain about the service but would hope the chef will improve the food.
Our server was very attentive even though it was a busy night. Enjoyed our experience here.
A great night, not rushed at all, even though it was New Year's eve. Service was great, food was well prepared, tasty and arrived quickly. Highly recommended.
Our experience started out with a medium rating of the hostess (one of my guests is a hostess at another Toronto restaurant!). The waiter was very friendly but did not write down any of our order so consequently two of us had finished our soup before the missed third soup (after reminder) was delivered at the same time as the main course.
The restaurant is very busy and extra noisy but we can handle that and understand it is that type of location as compared to other more suburban Milestones.
Service was very poor. It was busy in the restaurant but not at capacity. Took along time to order, items were forgotten, dirty dishes not cleared, brought tea but no mug and then took so long to bring mug we had to leave for our show before drinking.
