Milestones Grill + Bar - St. John's
It's the passion in our recipes that makes a visit to Milestones truly unforgettable. Whether you come for a favourite meal or love trying new and trendy dishes, Milestones is all about great food without the pretension. We're an impromptu meeting place for friends and a cozy spot for date nights. We're familiar and friendly, but always on the cutting-edge. We're nights to remember and remarkable flavours to savour. That's how we set the table at Milestones. Be part of the story...
It was freezing.
Waitress was nice enough
Food was mediocre at best.
It's just right. I wouldn't say it's the best. Our server is very attentive would appreciate if she 's coming back at the table only twice.
Great atmosphere, food was delicious, and our waitress was very friendly as well as those who helped her. The manager even stopped by our table to check how every was, and had a great chat with all of us.
We all enjoyed that. From the manager to the staff, what a friendly group of people, they made our supper a memorable one. Thanks :)
We have eaten brunch here twice. Both times it took between 45-60 minutes for food to come out and both times the food has been served cold.
Service was great. Set menu for Mother’s Day which had a nice selection.
Staff were all very polite. Our server Leah was perfect.
Great restaurant for any occasion. Keep it up!
Loved the food, service was perfect and a lovely atmosphere.
Service was good. Wait time was resonable. Food was good but not exceptional. Would go again but not for awhile.
We were looking forward to this all week and we were very disappointed. Eating out as a family/ couple is a luxury and will reconsider visiting Milestones in the future. Our table was next to the kitchen so very loud and busy, restaurant temperature was cool, service started great but declined as the place got more busy. Overpriced food, small portions for some items and unaffordable beverages at $15.50 for a glass of low quality wine. Server was apologetic but did his best. Perhaps, the manager should have paid more close attention to everyone and not just the adjacent table who clearly got preferential treatment.
I have been there before and it is usually nice and slow anyways which is nice for a night out however, this time was extremly slow, awkward because a well done steak had pink in it twice and then the mood and vibe is killed so depressing and unenjoyable sitting somewhere from 730 pm until almost 10 oclock before the bill arrived. Disappointing as it did not look overly busy and was Friday evening which would suspect a decent staff to host a Friday night crowd. Food was average cost for an.above average price.
Appetizer was great, the side for my main was the worst. The green beans tasted like they boiled them in pool water with no salt and not cooked enough. I wanted to change out the desert with the combo, I even offered more money but they wouldn’t do it. Although the cheese cake that did come with it was delicious, much better than expected. Our server was very friendly.
But don't go for lunch if you only have an hour lunch break. We were there 25mins before our order was taken, 1.5 hours for lunch to be finished.
We asked for water 3 times before water was brought to the table.
But the food was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced.
Great service and fantastic food!!
Our server was a young man. I dont remember his name but he worked for milestones previously ! He was great!!
The calamari was delicious. The spicy chicken bites were great! And 🌶. The California house salad wAs awesome as always. The
Tunisian chicken was delicious
The prime rib was not as tasty as last time
Service is always great
Wow! What an improvement. The location has some growing pains when it first reopened. Food and service was great this visit
Server was lovely and the meal was delicious. We both had selections from the Asian section
I do miss the trio that was avlb when Milestones first opened with soup, salad and sandwich or slider (can’t remember) Made a great lunch.
The service was excellent and the food was great but after leaving I was sick. Understand this restaurant is getting back on its feet but I won’t be going back anytime soon.
Outstanding food items. Very friendly staff. We had a business lunch there and all of our party were very pleased with the meals and service. A little noisy for my liking but I'm a little over sensitive to background noise everywhere I go. Will definitely be back
The Thai noodle dish was perfectly spiced to my liking. Lots other options for non spicy food preference. Great ambience.
We were celebrating my birthday, party of 4. The server asked about my allergies and relayed the instructions to the kitchen. Very pleasant experience. So happy this location is open again. We missed it.
If you are a curry lover, the Thai red curry bowl is delicious!
waiter was friendly and informative. Hosts were pleasant and welcomed my group when we arrived.
Received main too soon as several of us were not finished with our appetisers. We weren't in any hurry.
Our table was by the main door so there was a cold draft each time people entered the main door. In St. John's NL there is always a wind and now that winter has begun it can be a cold wind.
Our overall experience was good. Our waitress was awesome. Appetizers were fabulous. All of our food tasted great but our mains left us a bit disappointed. Husband and I both had steaks with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. Potatoes were smashed haphazardly at best, into chunks. Hate chunky mashed potatoes! The veggies were sad altogether....a forkful of some sort of green, I literally had two slivers of onion and husband had a sliver of onion and one bite-sized piece of red pepper. It was basically a garnish. We we not impressed. Luckily we had ordered and extra side for the table so the rest of our guests just didn’t have any and let us share it out to make up for the lack of vegetables. But when ordering a full meal one shouldn’t have to order extra veggies! Definitely not the quality we were accustomed to from before the closure!
Very enjoyable evening, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food.
Service was great. Only fault. It was girls night out. 4 drinks 4 appetizers.it would have been nice to receive appetizers one at a time so the food didn't get cold. Quality of service and foos was certainly a step up from the previous restaurant. Good job!
Great food and the service was excellent! The meal was much more spicy than anticipated but the sever was quick to offer us water and sour cream to help cool down. I would definitely come back and though my partner may not get the spicy dish again, I sure will! ;) Keep up the great work.
I was there a few nights ago for a get together. The crispy cauliflower appetizer was disgusting. It was clearly previously frozen cauliflower, so it was very soggy and limp inside the very greasy batter and also tasteless. The server took forever to bring us our drinks and they were missing their garnishes. They also tasted very bland. There was a large group of people gathered in the bar next to us, which appeared to be a private party since we were the only table besides that group in the bar. Most of them were standing around the bar height tables and were extremely loud, yelling, making speeches and toasts, etc. I could’nt even hear my friend talking to me. They even turned off the music in the restaurant so this group could say their speeches or whatnot. We felt like were intruding. The waitress took out plates and saw that we hadn’t eaten the cauliflower. We told her we didn’t like it. She charged us for it anyways. We were not pleased. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
Good atmosphere but long wait to have drink order taken even though it wasn’t very busy. Food was mediocre. Fries were not cooked enough and only lukewarm. Mashed potato option not even available. This was first visit since the reopening. Used to love this restaurant but this experience was not at all up to their previous standards.
We have gone there four times since they reopened. Once was turned away at the door at 8:30 PM for two people...said they were too backed up. Two of the other three times the service was extremely slow and food not very hot.
Only complaint is that the food took longer than what I believed to be reasonable to be served
Disappointed in the amount of gluten free options. There are so many alternate ways to cook the basics in a gluten free manner. Also, our wait staff was not informed that they could prepare some menu items differently to accommodate...we found this out afterwards from Allison Seguin. I had a pasta dish with a cream sauce and "hard" chicken. Considering the dish I felt it was over-priced at $20. My husband had fish tacos which he liked. The dessert was gluten free and tasted very good. Chocolate torte. I did think it was over-priced as well. The wait staff who served us did not bring cutlery and we had to ask twice for napkins-we ended up eating the appetisers with only a drink paper napkin. P.S. free appetisers are only beneficial if there are options for gluten free-same goes for the grand opening freebees!
Food was great! Staff were excellent and very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was just great.
Attended for business anniversary. The food choice was unavailable at the time one of the attendees was about to be served. The Order had been placed for sometime. The appetizers were delicious and plentiful. It was not a busy time when we dined there. The server did not check back throughout the meal until the end; we had to seek her out to request water.
the food is okay, but most waiters are new and don't know how to serving customers, it took me so long to wait there with nothing, and their finger is almost touch my dishes，I wouldn't recommend this place
it was an amazing lunch. I enjoyed the food and the menu had a good variety of choices. our server kelly was energetic and did an amazing job. thank you
We had a great meal and the service (Stephen) couldn’t have been better.
Missed it when it closed so I’m glad it has reopened. Always thought the food, staff and pricing was great.
We enjoyed our meal. The food was great. A little mix up with our entree but it was just newly re opened. We will be going back again. Service was ok. But once again only newly opened.. enjoyed our food.
Stopped going to this restaurant last year prior to there closing because on 2 separate occasions they were out of food menu items, especially meat.
With the recent re-opening my wife and I decided to see if things had gotten better, so let’s give them another try. Lo and behold, we ordered the signature meal (prime rib), medium rear. The order arrived totally dried out. We told our waiter who totally agreed and had the meal returned for correction.
This was an early dinner reservation (6:30 p.m.) However, management informed us that had run out prime rib and could not provide us with our order for at least 2 hours!
Exactly, what happened before.
Management were quite apologetic, but that is no help.
I’m sorry, but neither I nor any of my many friends will be recommend this restaurant other than for it’s looks. Please review your kitchen staff. Meals such as were presented to us should have never left the kitchen. Time for a new chef!
