An Albany gem! Or Latham/Loudonville actually :) I've been dining here every week, for the last six months. Milano is always happening, has a great bar that always has people chatting away, nice crowd of people who are interesting to talk to. Wednesday and Thursday nights are always bumping, with a more hip crowd. The management is very attentive. The GM is always there to greet, check on you, and I see her working, bringing out food, and taking the time to get to know each guest. The wait staff is excellent. Marissa is simply the best. If I miss a week she notices! And the bartender is amazing, a real talent, totally staying on top of the bar at all times, with her drinks creative and delightful. I brought the my team from my office and they did not want to leave. I personally love the burrata for a starter and then the salmon, but the best is their pizza and bread. They have a great pizza oven and their Margarita pizza is to die for. I order an extra and take it home! Their chef's fish specials are really good, as well as their pasta choices. It's located in a very nice plaza with a great wine store to boot!

I always love coming here. Short staffed so plan to relax and enjoy. Food is always good although the crème brûlée was not at its normal best this trip.

Based on other reviews this place is definitely overrated. It was very nosey, the food was so so at best. Ordered the fried calamari and only maybe got 5 actual pieces of calamari and the rest was fried breading with nothing in it. Very disappointed. Seemed like the locals all enjoy it for sure as seemed like a lot of folks knew each other as new people walked in.

Our server was very attentive and asked us if we wanted to pace ourselves between courses which we did. We shared the tasty bruschetta as our first course. We enjoyed the salmon special and the veal piccata. The creme brulee we shared was a nice way to end the meal.

One of the very WORST restaurants I have ever eaten at. Hostess was rude to us because we arrived 15 minutes earlier than our reservation, even though it was not very busy. Waitress was horrible and very unattentive (she just NEVER listened to us and was constantly rushing by us without any attention, again with restaurant not really that busy). Menu tried too hard to be impressive but when food arrived, there was way too much disappointment. Dinners were plated very unappetizing and food was so bland and with no taste. No one in our party of 4 ate much of their dinners. In fact, we ended up stopping and getting fast food takeout to bring back to our hotel as we left without eating very much and with NO doggy bags (no thank you). I would NEVER recommend this place. BEWARE AND GO ELSEWHERE

The food is above average, though not great. Be prepared to sit ~20 inches from people at the next table, and you might want to bring noise canceling headphones to deal with the noise. My server was pleasant, though rarely present. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it will be last visit to Milano.
