We went to Milagros to celebrate my husband's bday with friends.
The food was delicious, the recommendations on the spice levels was spot on, the drinks were fabulous (I recommend the rum coconut recommendations) and the server was very involved in our comfort.
I highly recommend Milagros for anyone who wants to enjoy the fiesta of flavors.
My favorite was the Camarones Diabla. It was the best thing I have eaten in forever!
Will be back again soon.
Delicious Milagros margaritas and chips and salsa
Excellent food - freshly made tortillas! And delicious and unique margaritas. Our waiter was also very helpful and friendly. It was lively so a bit louder but the restaurant’s popularity is due to the great food and drink.
Great outdoor seating with heaters! We asked to be switched inside via phone call day of but did not happen?! It turns out, outside was so much fun and warm so I am happy they made the mistake! Yummy, busy, happening spot with good food. Service good for how busy. Thank you.
Milagros is such a fun place! Wonderful ambiance and eclectic deco. Fun for families as well as friend groups. Service and food were excellent. We were seated in back room- a bit quieter- but much better for our group which included an elderly patron and a disabled adult. Only complaint was that it still was a bit noisy and parking was really tough on Friday at 6. I would recommend it highly- suggest later reservation might improve parking issue.
My family and I love going to Milagros! The food is great! The staff treats us like family. We truly enjoy going there all the time!
Little crowded. I requested indoor at reservation but they don't have indoor seated. Outside there were heaters on the top. It was way too warm on the head and cold at the bottom feet after 9pm.
I struggle to rate Milagros a 3 as its weakest link is the food. From past experiences, the ambience and service have been its strengths. Years ago, its food was also a strength... but in the past few visits, we have been consistently disappointed with our meals and have decided to throw in the towel.
Our beef (no pun intended) is that the meat tends to be overcooked and the sauces lacking in flavor but not saltiness. One of our favorite dishes had been the mole chicken entree (now only offered as an enchilada)... but lately its been very dry and flavorless. The once awesome tacos have more recently been served in so much sauce that the taco shells turn to mush.
Great place to celebrate 3 birthdays. They even customized the menu for us with a birthday greeting. A very nice touch!
Great food, the server forgot about us after our meal. We had to track her down physically to make payment. No bueno. It was not that busy
Excellent service - always love this place!
Great service very impressed
Our table was terrible, we asked to be moved, 2nd one was slightly better but still too large for 2 people to talk comfortably. Service was OK but we felt rushed. Despite having a reservation for 2, the hostess seated at a table for 4, maybe even 6 as it was oblong, and told us when we sat down that there was another reservation for the table in 75 minutes and to finish by then. Food was great as always!
I would recommend the food but the service is not good. The atmosphere felt irritable and insufficient. Plates were left on our table and the vibe felt negative. Too bad because we enjoyed our meal.
Great food and ambiance, try it!
I booked a dinner reservation for a birthday. Our waitress was kind of ditsy in the beginning. We waited a while for our drinks and had to ask twice for our chips and salsa and our appetizer. Oddly a table next to us who got seated after us got all their drinks and chips right away. Our waitress didn’t even apologize. By the end she got more attentive. For a birthday reservation I expected better service. The food was really good.
Milagros comes with a lot of pub and fanfare, and I can now say it is certainly justified. The cuisine can be deemed a modern take on Mexican food, and they certainly excel at it. The menu is phenomenal, full of classic Mexican dishes, but also contains plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, which was a pleasant surprise. The ceviche as a starter is excellent, and my main course was the seafood enchiladas, which were delicious and as advertised. Oh and how could I forget, the cocktails were stiff and very good as well. Plenty of different margaritas to choose from. We were also celebrating a birthday, and after the meal they were nice enough to offer either a free dessert or a free shot--of which I went for the shot of course. Overall, excellent restaurant with great outdoor seating and savory Mexican food. I will definitely return!
I normally love this place!! This time, not so great... we were seated in the very back room and service was lacking. Waiter was not frequently in area and had to ask for service several times. Normally in main dinning rooms to left or right if bar or on patio... Even though quieter area fur visiting, maybe the back area needs more attention with service regular rotations. Food and drinks are always amazing!!
Everything was great except for some young drunk VERY LOUD patrons seated outside a couple of tables away. They were super annoying to an otherwise great evening. I would like to have seen a more proactive approach in protecting other customers from that kind of annoyance
We have been to Milagros’s many times. This time due to an expected large party that walked in the service was slow, one order was wrong and delivered after we were all finished and the prices have seemed to been greatly increased. The manager did take care of our meals, but the drink prices were outrageous.
Great service! We were very well attended. Awesome non-alcoholic cocktails, like the coconut slush. We also enjoyed guac that was very flavorful. The enchiladas were a large portion and super tasty. I would definitely eat here again!
Great food! Great service! Love the decor and the ambiance.
My new favorite spot. I have eaten there twice in the last few weeks, great both times!
I made a reservation and was given the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I showed up 10 minutes before my reservation time and they showed me to an outside table. I informed the hostess that I requested indoor seating because it was cold outside and she immediately returned my statement with attitude and said that they only had outdoor. I told her that I had a choice on open table and selected indoor, why would they indicate that this was an option? She said that there was nothing available and there wouldn’t be anything available for 30-60 minutes. She said that this was our only choice and said the heat lamps were wam. I was frustrated and went to the table she directed us to and could fee the cold air so we left. I get that sometimes things go wrong but being immediately rude is unacceptable.
It was my 40th bday dinner and they printed out special menus for the occasion. :)
Love everything st Milagros . Totally vegetarian and vegan friendly . Hopefully they will add more vegan entrees in the future .
SERVICE....EXCELLENT....MONICA WAS THE BEST.......FOOD.....CONSISTENTLY GREAT.....DRINKS....OFF THE HOOK
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT EVENING!
Not for a celebration. Our waitress asked if the birthday boy would like a birthday shot or piece of cake. He asked for the cake, she brought the shot, and then she charged us for it.
We had family from Scotland join us. For some, this was their first experience dining with Mexican cuisine. Did not disappoint and left them yearning for more.
Awesome but pricey
Great place for a girls night out or drinks with friends. It’s pretty loud so not ideal for an intimate date.
Really great food, service sometimes fine and other visits sub-par (waitstaff ignoring diners, not short-staffed), loud mechanical whining sound of restaurant equipment for 25 min. on last visit. Good atmosphere but can get hard to converse due to music & traffic noise. I'll go again for the food, great location and nice attractive decor.
Bad experience with the host at the restaurant that insisted we were marked as a no show for arriving 10 minutes late after we called in starting there was a major crash on El Camino where the streets were completely closed by police. So strange the host or manager said he “had to mark us a a no show”. He should think of the essence of the rule vs the absolute rule given the factors I noted. We are regulars to Milagros but not anymore.
Love this place. The food is great and the service is consistently attentive. Wish they would drop the noise level a bit. It's difficult to have a serious conversation without speaking loudly...
We were celebrating Hispanic Independence for Mexico and El Salvador. Normally when I visit Milagros as a walk in I am treated fairly. My family and I were hoping to get treated equally as everyone else in the restaurant, but unfortunately we didn’t. The server, (whose name is Yuliana, (I took that from the receipt), never brought us chips and salsa for the table, and every table around us had them. I asked the busser for them. We asked her for water twice, I had to ask another server for it. I think they were also bothered because it’s not their table so why should they serve it? Anyways, all in all, it was a so so experience. Not sure if I’ll go back but wish the business the best because the food is great!
I made an error when I ordered the food. I noticed when the food came out. The waiter was very friendly and changed the order to what I really wanted. The food was delicious and so was the margarita. We were seated across from a birthday party, so it was a little loud but they were enjoying themselves and not much of a nuisance.
We can definitely recommend this restaurant.
It was our first time and it was pretty good overall. We will definitely return since we didn't have time for dessert! We sat outside in a shaded part of patio so it was very comfortable. The weather had cooled down on weekend but it was a bit too humid to sit inside restaurant with no AC "on" but they had all doors/windows open. My senior mom walked around ok (with cane) no problems. I tried Enchillidas del Mar were delicious and mom had the Carnitas Nortenas. Only complaint was part of the carnitas (little less than half) were extremely dry. I don't know if overly cooked or under pass thru lamp too long. I could see you couldn't really digest that properly. So she didn't eat that part of them but she did enjoy the rest of her dish and portion of carnitas that were moist. I also tried the frozen mango margarita - excellent! As I said we will return it was pretty good overall. Anxious to try some other items.
I recommend sitting inside. The outside seating was very uncomfortable. The plastic table cloth was sticking to my legs, the table was too low for the height of my chair. My back hurt the next day from sitting on such an uncomfortable chair. Food and ambiance was great but I can't stop thinking about how uncomfortable I was the whole time.l
Milagros is a very upbeat, fun place to meet for cocktails and/or dinner, especially with a larger group. Our server was incredibly nice, just seemed to be a bit overwhelmed and that made refills on drinks an issue and a couple mistakes on orders. But I think that's just due to it's popularity! We will definitely dine there again when we visit (we are from the New England area)!
Great menu and staff was very good
Fun people watching too
