One of our favorite places but sad to say the new menu leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Great food and service. It was noisy and difficult for conversation. That’s my main issue.

We have previously been hesitant to dine at Mikette’s because we were waited on by the same, pretty rude, server multiple times. This time we were lucky. We had the most wonderful server, who made sure we were well taken care of. He even came after us out to the parking lot with a pair of readers he thought to be ours, which they weren’t! How thoughtful and sweet! 100% thumbs up for Mikette this time:-)

How do you change from a French Bistro to “Mediterranean Flare”. A terrible idea. The whole experience has changed and not the reason we fell in love with the restaurant. No oysters? No Kale Caesar? I hated Kale until I had that salad and still dream of that salad. Very disappointing. Wish you well but we won’t be back.

We decided to meet some friends in Ann Arbor for dinner at this restaurant. I was pleased to find how easy the restaurant was to get to and it had free parking. The inside of the restaurant was very nice. I liked how there was even artwork on the ceilings. The wait staff was very pleasant as well. I was kind of disappointed as being a vegetarian, although they were vegetarian options, much of the vegetarian food is fried in the same fryer as the shrimp and other meats. I think it is important for a restaurant that has vegetarian options to realize that people do not always eat fish, or may have a fish allergy. This limited options. I was also kind of shocked that for a Friday night, which typically is a busy night for people to go out for dinner they ran out of the one vegetarian skewer, the mushroom and onion kebab. This meant, that my main meal would be a salad. We ordered three different spreads with bread, the cheese fondue salad and apricot gelato. The cheese fondue was amazing! Definitely worth to have. I was underwhelmed by the spreads, although the pepper spread was very good. The bread is grilled nicely and delicious. The beet spread with feta cheese lacked flavour to my liking. I also found the white bean hummus wasn't as garlicky as I would like it. The apricot gelato was very underwhelming as it did not have a robust flavour that you'd expect with gelatos. I would say it was more like an ice cream. The flavours of all the food are mediocre at best and not as flavourful as full as I would expect Mediterranean food to be. Also, some of the appetizers were definitely oversalted. The drinks are good, not overly overpriced. Worth to try but I don't think we'd be back.

All the food from the new menu (Mediterranean) was awesome, except the lamb kebab was overcooked/dry. I went with a group of 6, and we all loved the food and atmosphere.

The menus has changed. This restaurant was a French bistro with an interestingFrench oriented menu. Now it has a decididley Middle-Eastern menu. I, personally, and my wife, have little to no interest in Middle-Eastern food. And a big change for me: no more oysters. I doubt we will frequent Mikett as often as we did before this change.

Sad decline in menu. What happened to salad with lardons? To the seafood cocktail tray? To the scallop ceviche? The chocolate mousse wasn’t richly, deeply chocolatey. Menu is much more pedestrian than at first. Very good onion soup! But for a quite pricey restauranrt, you seem to have shed dishes that made it a festive destination. It is still expensive but you are serving lentils instead of ceviche. I do like the fried chicken. Why only on Sunday?

We've eaten here a few times before. It's a little pricey for our middle-class income, but the food is consistently outstanding and the entree portions are satisfying. They frequently change the menu, so there's no guarantee that they're going to have "that thing you loved" last time you were there. But I haven't yet found a menu item that wasn't fantastic. Even something as simple as a green salad. You'd think "Okay, it's a standard green salad. No great shakes." And you'd be wrong. The ingredients are always fresh, the particular vegetables they use combine well, and the dressing just makes the whole thing an experience for the palette. Slight markdown for how expensive everything is (and of course, it's a la carte, so you're paying separately for everything you consume) AND it's usually kind of loud. We're not talking Buffalo Wild Wings loud, but loud enough that ambient noise is always present and can drown out the person across the table from you that you WANT to hear. But it's still well worth it. We'll be going again.

A great place for a date night or group outing. The new menu is excellent and the service is always great. If you make it to dessert, go for the chocolate mousse!
