Mikes Sportsbook and Meat Bar
We have been here several times, this was one of the worst dining experiences we have had in a long time. Disappointing!
Beautiful night, good food, great drinks. Server helpful and made us feel welcome.
Good food, service; fairly loud so not good for quiet conversations. Prices reasonable and good menu (other then no prime rib in winter time). Wine list could use a few more “premium” wine selections.
The brunch menu on Sunday's is very limited. We arrived 15 minutes prior to brunch ending but they did not believe the kitchen could accommodate orders from the lunch menu in a timely manner.
We loved the vibe and had high hopes when ordering. After serving our drinks and taking food order, waitress never came back to our table. We waited over an hour for a salad and burger. Burger was inedible, close to raw/rare, and his fries tasted like fish. Salad was fine.
We were really disappointed.
We were there to watch the Super Bowl!!!!! We had a FANTASTIC waitress and the food was great!!!!!
Good food, good service, and a great atmosphere.
The most wonderful birthday my husband & I have had in 3 years. Thank you so much!
Enjoyed the music. Steaks were cooked to my liking. My husband and I liked the grilled Caesar salad.
I made reservations for 12 noon on fathers day. The website never mentioned that only brunch was served til 1:00. We ended up moving downstairs to mikes chicken and donuts. I've eaten downstairs a couple times already and was looking forward to trying the menu upstairs. The website really needs to be more informative. Had I known it was brunch til 1:00 ,I would've made my reservation for a later time. I was disappointed.
Great food and service. A little pricey.
Waitress was attentive and friendly. Kobe burger was great! Drinks were great!! Lots of fresh mint for our mojitos!!
Our Server Chris was outstanding! He made the experience that much more exceptional. The food and drinks were also wonderful.
The food was good but our appetizer came after half way through our dinner. Was not pleased as we don’t get out much. The server didn’t know the soup after being asked twice.
Fun atmosphere with small menu that's slightly pricey
The server we had was terrific: very friendly and accomodating. I dropped my fork, and she was at the table within a matter of seconds with a new one!
The Bloody Mary I had before dinner was great and included a garnish that was practically a meal in itself. The wedge salad was delicious, as was the balsamic shrimp alfredo. The portions were generous, too. I'm hoping to return in the summer to try the outdoor seating.
Food presentation was great, great service, reserved table with our name was so cute. My steak was a little undercooked but we were accommodated. This is our second time and would definitely still patronize! I really love the upscale feeling menu but still relaxed environment
Didn't matter that we had an opentable reservation. No table was kept for us on a packed night. We ate appetizers standing, they weren't bad. No table ever opened up for us because it was UFC night. Pretty dissapointed.
The food was outstanding. Love being able to see the chef prepare the food.
We opted for the rooftop dining with live music! Chilly night, but the music was great and the food was awesome! Service was spot on! Really enjoyable evening with friends!
Great place for several drinks and good food. Nice atmosphere if you can stand Packers and Brewers fans. Always enjoy sitting at the bar. Solid service. Specials usually the best on the menu. Grab some donuts on the way out.
My husband and I are frequent patrons of this restaurant. We have always had a great experience when it comes to food and drinks. The service has varied sometimes we get a friendly face and sometimes we get grumpy young servers. On this occasion we were celebrating Mother's Day and sadly it was a horrible experience. The only thing that made us stay was the fact that our server a young man was very friendly and apologetic about the 1 hour wait for our appetizer and food. The restaurant wasn't even packed and to make matters worse their famous Mimosas with fresh squeeze juice was nothing but champagne with half artificial orange juice and water. We actually returned our "fresh" oj after we saw the bartender fill it up with halfway water and juice concentrate. The food was okay, nothing like it used to be. Still not sure if we want to go back after this experience.
Hostess gave our table away to someone else and we ended up sitting at the bar.... not how I wanted to spend our special occasion (anniversary)
This is a great place to watch a game. The staff is very accommodating with requests for seating and game watching. The food is always excellent and drinks are great. Drinks for mixed drink lovers as well as the "beer snob" in your group. I say this sarcastically because if you can't find a beer that you like...it hasn't been brewed yet. Love this place and the staff!
Ate at Mike's Sportbook during Kenosha's Restaurant Week rated food fair for one reason my Husband ordered the salmon from their Limited Special Menu and we found the portion to be very small for the price. The salmon strip was no more then 1 1/2" wide and about 4 1/2" long. Would of like a bit more fish. I had the Hanger Steak and was well pleased with my portion and tasty beef. Loved the chop salad, deelious.
We were extremely disappointed when we made our reservations more than 24 hours in advance and drove over 4 hours in order to celebrate a special occasion and then when we arrived at our reservation time we were told that there were no tables available. Apparently, several large walk-in parties were given all the tables prior to our arrival. I was told that there would be no tables "for the foreseeable future" and we were offered a glorified railing to eat our dinner at. We were essentially turned away and left scrambling for another place to eat dinner at the last minute on a Friday night. The lack of sympathy and arrogance from the host was just salt in the wound.
Food was good; waitress attentive but slow; menu has reduced since last time we were there.
Been to Mike's a few times, second time using Open Table to get a spot. It's always been a breeze and the service is great! Friendly staff, plenty of TVs and the food is delicious. Definitely will be coming back!
Excellent service, great food and everything was cooked perfectly. I thought it was a bit pricey for the items that we ordered. I would definitely recommend this place for dinner or just to hang out for drinks and watch a game.
Food was great maybe a little pricey all and all service was great we will be back...best french fries I have ever had and filet was mouth watering! My husband loved your cole slaw...we got the garlic wonton thingys they were ok kind of on the dry side!
We watched game 6 of the Cubs game here and the crowd was a lot of fun! The service was awesome and super friendly and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend!
It took 1.5hrs to get our food order for a party of 9!! Terrible!!
My reservation was ready for us and fulfilled my request to sit outdoors ( rooftop, with lots of seating and bar) and made a deal out of the Birthday : free 1st drink ( large beer and cocktail menu) and free desert ( signature donuts). There was a live band - great - plenty of people, but not crowded. Service was prompt but not overdone. Food was well cooked and enjoyable. Fresh roses on the table.
They had a special Manhattan steak, never heard of so asked the server. Was told its the best of the New York strip, suppose to be a premium cut. Price was on the high side so my wife and I both ordered it excepting something special. Steak was nothing special, both had a vein of gristle running through it. Manager came by asking how our dinner was told him okay, he was taken aback and pressed why, told him of my issue with the steaks which didn't seem to matter.
We went for a Birthday get together and had a Great Time!!!!
I made the reservations online and then tried to call to request outdoor seating for the reservations. I called several times with no answer. When we arrived the sign said seat yourself and there was no host. We arrived about 30 minutes early. I attempted to tell the bartender and one of the waitresses that we had arrived and they were really busy and said they would see what they could do. Guests on the patio would leave and patrons waiting would dash for a table. It seemed that a host would resolve this issue of having to "hunt" down a table. We eventually snatched a table on our own without the help of the staff. The bartender did comp me and my husband with a beer each and eventually our friends were comped with a beverage each because the service was extremely slow. There is a need for more servers at this location.
It felt awkward and like we were inconveniencing the staff with our "reservations" and request to be seated outside. I will not be making reservations again unless this issue is resolved because I felt like a nuisance. I love this establishment. We've had lunch here with no issues in the past. But seems the evening brings chaos. I love giving my business to local businesses but some order needs to be put into place.
I've heard good things about this place so I planned a dinner here for my husband's birthday last night. Reservations were at seven, our table was ready when we got there. The place was very busy, which is to be expected on a Saturday night. The waitress took our drink order after about a half hour, and we got our drinks around 7:45...not terrible, considering it was packed. However.... It took over an hour and a half for us to get our appetizers, and over two hours to get our entrées. That is ridiculous. There were only six of us, and we didn't get a ton of food. Mostly just sandwiches and fries. If the food would've been spectacular that would have been one thing, but it was just OK. The burgers were under cooked, and my salmon was completely flavorless. Also, apparently they had the AC on but we were all literally sweating at our table. We had to keep getting up and walking out on the patio for a breeze. Towards the end of our dinner we actually got up with our plates and moved to the bar outside. They need to do something about the air circulation in that place. Additionally, other places we have gone for birthdays we were at least offered a comp drink or dessert. The waitress knew it was my husband's birthday and we were never offered anything.
Last thing. From what the server explained to us, they got busy with a lot of walk-ins shortly before we arrived. Ok fine. But when you have a party with a reservation, maybe make a bit of an effort to bump their order up ahead of the 30 walk-in tables. Or maybe that was just her attempt at an excuse for the ridiculous wait time. Bottom line, they have a severely understaffed kitchen for the number of tables they have. So overall not a great experience. And especially not for the price! Our dinner was over $80 for my husband and myself. Not worth it.
Great service but had a long wait for food. Food was good
Made reservations for a friends birthday and the overall experience was just ok. I had high expectations going in as Ive heard some good things about this restaurant.
Took forever for the server to visit our table, drinks took forever, dinner took forever. I ordered the salmon-worst salmon i've ever had. I think that is my fault though as I should have ordered a steak. Two friends ordered steak and they were not impressed with the quality and taste. I will say that the scallops were good, however a couple had sand in them.
Not worth the money at all!
