   My friend's birthday! We really enjoyed the dining experience. It is quite expensive, which makes sense due to the high quality of the ingredients and preparation, especially the steaks and seafood. Defintely a special occasion dinner destination!

   My husband and I ate at Midtown Reserve on Friday, March 10. It was our first visit. The food was very, very good - everything we had was top-notch. We shared the crab stuffed mushrooms and both of us had a side caesar. My entree was the seared tuna; my husband had the blackened salmon. A bottle of the Italian pinot grigio was very reasonably priced. Our wait staff were attendant and efficient. My only "dings" to the overall experience are probably minor issues. I hate being called "guys" or being asked if I'm still "working" on my food. There are so many other ways of addressing the situation. And lastly, the view is weird: here you are, eating a terrific meal and your view is a parking lot. With tip, the bill for the two of us was over $200. We'll be back, but not frequently.

   Service was fantastic from the moment we walked in. The food was amazing, from the bread w/cayenne butter to the blackened samon and 12 oz filet we had for dinner, both entrees just melted in your mouth. We will definitely be returning regularly!

   The only negative for us was the price point. We dine out frequently at upscale restaurants like Orchard Green in Iowa City and Cobble Hill in Cedar Rapids. Your prices are a bit high for the quantity of food. The quantity of the entree was fine but would be helpful to include a potato and vegetable to the plate. The quality, ambiance and service were outstanding.

   Highly recommend this place. It is definitely pricey but this was my second visit and the food and service is phenomenal. Had Megan as our server and she was great.

    It was very loud - a table of about 10 people. It was really hard to hear and therefore, affected our enjoyment. I would recommend people try it and then make their own decision about whether to return.

    The menu and it's offerings were expensive and our bill for two for dinner was $250. I did send a manhattan drink to another table to a friend(and that was $18). I'd say over-priced for Cedar Rapids.

    Great food! Must have it the lobster bisque. Filets r huge and the wild rice is delish! Great bartender and servers as well. All in all an awesome experience for my girls birthday..🔥💣😍

    This place is not cheap by any means, however, the food is very, very good. As they advertise, this is not a restaurant you would go to every month, primarily because of their pricing, but I would highly encourage you to try it.

    My husband and I went to Midtown Reserve for a grownup date night. The steak and seafood menu and wine list were just what we were looking for. Small but surprisingly classy place off the beaten path.

    This restaurant has so much potential but has fallen short on two separate occasions. On each occasion there were only 2 less than desirable reservation times and when we entered the restaurant, on the first visit no one else came in the whole evening. On the second visit, there were two other tables so I didn't understand the difficulty in getting the time we would have preferred to dine. We started with cocktails and quickly discovered the bartending isn't consistent from bartender to bartender. I ordered a cosmopolitan was served sans Cointreau and staff did not offer to correct the problem. I was excited to see some nice wines on our first visit, but took a pass after seeing the bottles stored in what looked like a shower enclosure and at room temperature. On our second visit we brought our own wine and paid corkage, only to be presented with two cloudy glasses and after the bottle was opened and it was "serve yourself". I did enjoy my pricey steak, however. Servers were busy chatting at the bar and not very attentive.

    The four of us had to eat at a high top table, which was way too small to accommodate all the food. The food was very good, but we asked for our steak to be medium rare, but it was medium, so cooked a little more than we like! Otherwise, we really liked it and will definitely be back!

    When we arrived, we were told we had 90 minutes to eat and leave. Not unheard of, but 90 minutes was not enough time and we were not notified at the time of booking the table. While the four reminders of this time limit throughout dinner was very unwelcoming and uncomfortable, the real problem was with the cold dismissal. The check was brought with dessert and we were asked to leave with half full wine and drink glasses just 10 minutes beyond the set time limit. There were tables that were sat before us still eating and not being asked to leave and three empty tables at that time. Very bizarre. Good food, but awkward and somewhat embarrassing end to what could have been a great experience.

The evening of your reservation we did have large parties who are honored a longer dining time. Our serving team is asked to remind guests of their time restriction when guests arrive late as to not make any one feel uncomfortable. Our serving team is trained to offer bar seating for walk-ins or those who wish to stick around past their dining time, whether it is to enjoy a dessert or drink. Unfortunately, there was a table assigned to your seat afterward whom sat down 10 minutes late. We want to ensure all patrons are seated at their booked time and also have the opportunity to dine the full time they are offered.     Exceptional menu Every course was very good Caesar Salad was very good The main course was very good but it was served on a cold plate and for a thin slice of meat it meant that the meat and potatoes were cold The dessert was very good.

    The best steak we’ve had in years. It literally melted in your mouth. Loved the menu… so many good options. Recommend sharing a salad… too much for 1 person. Love the sharing sides too. Great service… maybe too attentive. We felt rushed at times. Cool space. Would maybe add some lights and porch pots outside… it’s pretty dark and not the most visible location. Will come back!

    Food and service were fantastic. A breath of fresh air for CR. I would recommend something to dampen the noise though. Ambience was great until the place filled up. Then, it was hard to hear across our table.

    This place is only been open a few weeks, but my wife and I went there for her birthday. Excellent experience. Highly recommend. We travel all over the US and eat in our fair share of fine, dining, restaurants, and the steak that was prepared for me. Would rival any place I’ve ever been. Two thumbs up We will be back!!!
