Visiting from CA to celebrate a friends’ birthday. Midtown was recommended by another friend who had visited from TX a few weeks ago. Best recommendation ever. We thoroughly loved the place and the food 😊 They surprised my friend with a yummy molten lava cake and we ordered the coconut cake. Yummy!😋

Our food was great and the service was great as usual. Best spot in town for a business lunch!

There was a party of 16 that took over the room completely. They were positioned right in the middle of the dining room and had people standing up and giving speeches. Our waiter and waitress completely forgot about us once they arrived. My duck was good, my husband's shrimp and grits was nothing special. There are many other places that do shrimp and grits much better. They never even asked us how are food was. This place needs some serious updating. The first time I was there the food was much better and we were more forgiving of the atmosphere. This time gave us no reason to come back.

Great place. Serves lunch but also has breakfast until 2:30 pm, which was a welcomed surprise. Great breakfast with the best Yukon Gold home fries I've had in a long time. Will make every attempt to dine there again on next trip to Nashville.

Still one of the best spots for a business breakfast or lunch or a nice evening with friends. Mornings and afternoons allow discreet discussion with considerate service; evenings are a bit noisier, but it's not generally hosting the same business clientele. A Nashville gem.

Midtown Cafe is a dependable choice for a business lunch - generous salads, great entrees and a fairly quiet spot for conversation depending upon where you are seated and if there is a large group in the middle of the dining room. Our server was wonderful and, as always, Randy came by to check on us after seating us. My usual is the Sunset Caesar with salmon, and the salmon is always seasoned and cooked to perfection. Never disappoints.

Everything was just “OK”. Nothing special, lots of mistakes, sloppy plating. I get it, it was busy. But it was just a “meh” experience. I wouldn’t go back. A salad, a soup, two cocktails and two entrees - $120 + tip. Not worth it.

Nashville Favorite! Love that this home-town restaurant is thriving. You go in and are not immediately assaulted by the noise level. Instead it's cozy with a NYC small restaurant vibe.
One of our favorite for lunch or special occasion dinner. Artichoke soup can't be beat! Would have given 5 stars o service, but for some reason, it took 35 mins to get our lunch. Think maybe it was a glitch in the kitchen--first time that's happened.

Delightful associate was responsive and attentive. Food was delicious, served in appropriate time and well presented.
Best offering at the restaurant is the Coconut Cake worth 45 min drive to get there. Overall a nice niche restaurant and a gem in Nashville

Amazing food! Super service. We had a large party with multiple food allergies...gluten and lactose. This restaurant was able to accommodate everyone without any trouble.

We still miss going to Sunset Grille for Easter and Mother's Day brunch and were delighted to realize that Randy Rayburn's Midtown had Easter brunch. The menu was very different than Sunset's but every bit as delicious. We're all ready looking forward to Mother's Day.

Waitress was sweet but very forgetful, asked us for our order multiple times, still forgot. Brought us the wrong check etc. Food was pretty good but restaurant is very dark and small. Overall just ok.

Mid Town Café is a Nashville staple. We dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. If you are looking for a hip, cool, new Nashville vibe, this place is NOT for you. However, if you are looking for a great meal, great service and an atmosphere where you can have a conversation without completely breaking the bank, then give Mid Town Café a try. The pork tenderloin was fantastic and my wife enjoyed her shrimp dish (mine was better). Key lime pie was delicious.

Our reservations were at 7:30 and we arrived early to enjoy a cocktail. The bus to the symphony, TPAC was leaving as we got there and we were nearly run over by all of the seniors 'racing' to the shuttle! We are mid 40s and were probably the youngest folks in the place.

Midtown Cafe is a local treasure. I highly recommend it to locals and tourists. The shuttle to TPAC and Schermerhorn is brilliant and a draw on own.

We were on vacation in Nashville with a group of 17 to celebrate a birthday. The staff at Midtown Cafe made every effort to have all of us sit together. The service was amazing, the food was delicious with plenty of options to accommodate every palate and the ambiance was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate this momentous occasion. Our only regret was that we don't live closer to enjoy dinner here more often.

First time dining at Midtown Café in many years. Nashville is a trendier place now with many dining options but the newer restaurants are hit-or-miss in terms of service and meal quality. Midtown Café is reliably good. Highlights of the meal: melt-in-your-mouth salmon and keylime pie.

This was my 2nd time dinning at Midtown, and it was as enjoyable as the first. The wait staff is excellent, which is almost more important than the food. And, the ambiance is wonderful. I also enjoyed the food. In addition, the added value of the shuttle service makes Midtown Cafe a Top-10 location for dinning and special occasions.

The food was excellent, but the service was a little off. When three of our party were seated, we were still awaiting the arrival of two of our party. While we were waiting we were never asked if we would like something to drink. I had to flag down our waitress and ask if I could order a drink. When she took our dinner orders, she walked off without taking mine (the host.) Aside from these oversights, the meal was great. I will certainly return.

We have probably celebrated five of our 25 anniversaries at Midtown. Food is exceptional and service is top notch. ‘Dale’ waited on us this time and made us feel at home. Lemon artichoke soup is a favorite along with veal Three Way.
