Family get together. I loved the service and the restaurant overall. However my angel hair pasta was way over cooked thus the 4 rating. The veal was very tender but bland so needed seasoning. Dessert was very good. We had the coconut cake and chocolate explosion. The best thing was the ambiance after a day on Broadway. Finally we could hear and have a conversation. I would definitely recommend.

Our waitress Carol was amazing! Of course we also loved seeing Stephanie who stopped by to say hello.. don’t know name of guy who delivered our cocktails but he was such fun! Brought my out of town guests.. said it was best meal ever and they LOVED the ambience .. fantastic dinner!

Hadn't been here in a while. Wide selection of menu items, food just right and service exemplary. I like that they charged a kitchen fee so back of house folks get a little taste, too. Would have liked to have that before I retired from kitchen work. We plan to return soon.

We had a great experience! After doing a bit of research on where to have breakfast in the Midtown area (we were staying at the Virgin Hotel) it became quickly clear that this was the place to go! Research also revealed that it is always quite busy and that making a reservation was a good idea, which we thankfully did make. Upon arrival we waited about 5 minutes for our table while those without a reservation at about 10:30am had a 30-40 minute wait. Our server was very friendly, professional, and competent. The food was very good and reasonable in price with a ice variety of items to choose from and a few signature items. The biscuits are some of the best that we have ever had. If we come back to Nashville, we will definitely come back here to eat.

For years, we've had Midtown Cafe on our list of restaurants to patronize when visiting Nashville. We finally made it and glad we did. Interesting and appealing menu, and daily specials make choices that more difficult. Spouse had veal saltimboca from the regular menu and I had a ribeye steak from the specials menu - both were nicely prepared, attractively presented and delicious. The lobster bisque, on the specials menu, was also quite good. Modest but nice wine list (we found several favorites so it was fine for us). Friendly, attentive, but not intrusive, service. All-in-all, we had a delightful meal and intend to come back when next in Nashville.

This place is excellent! My manager and I came for lunch on a Tuesday at 12:30. The place was packed, but full of energy which I liked . The service was wonderful and the food was amazing ! Our plates were empty!! It was a great lunch experience !!
