Midici Neapolitan Pizza - Estero
Great food and fresh ingredients. Will
This is clearly the best wood fired Napoli style pizza in SW Florida. Have the Pizza Margaritte add pepperoni and a have them put a handfull of fresh arugula on your pie just before serving it and you have got yourself a tasty and satisfyingly great meal. Pick the meatballs for an appetizer, order a Peroni beer and when you're done with all that finish up with a doublescoop of REAL chocolate gelati for desert. You will enjoy and return again and again as my wife and I do.
Loved the decor so cute only thing i would say is too much garlic on everything.
Pizzas were delivered late
We begged for drinks
Smokers on patio ruined the meal. Not enough servers
My boyfriend and I were trying to have a date night for we haven’t had one in a few weeks. The server was not attentive. We would stare down the servers and they would just keep talking. Our drinks were empty for a good 15 minutes at a time. My boyfriend ordered pizza with sausage and pepperoni on it and I ordered the penne vodka pasta. The pizza was extremely greasy that even the server who took it back said they’ve never seen so much grease on their pizzas and kindly offered another. Since Medici is an open kitchen we can watch the server tell the cook to remake the pizza and he was cussing left and right while looking right at us. He called us annoying. The pizza was not made right the second time and my boyfriend was uncomfortable with even saying anything but if we are paying over 40 dollars for pizza and pasta we expect it to be right. That’s when the cook starts slamming stuff and pacing back in forth. We finally asked for a manager and told him our concerns and he just blamed the server for being new and that the cook has worked all day. THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE!!! He saw we had two pizzas because the server said we could keep the second pizza because it was their fault it was messed up. The manager told the server to take off only one of the pizzas! I do not blame the server for this experience. As a manager at a pizza concept I blame management for not training their employees right and not being attentive in the dining area. It’s safe to say we will not be going there for a long time if we ever do go back.
Outstanding Gluten Free pizza. Advertised Gluten Free pasta on the menu but server told us they didn't have any.
Enjoyed outside seating, pizza was great, service was just okay
Medici's pizza crust is absolutely one of the best ! the freshness and quality of the ingredients is evident in the taste of the food. The service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!
our service was excellent. the food was okay for some reason we can't seem to get a pizza that's not drowning in grease and floppy. same thing with a calzone although it was pretty good but greasy. I have repetitively been here and they have a great concept but for some reason they can't ever get the pizza right. this was my last visit to medicis I have given them four or five chances since they have opened and decide not to torture myself anymore. like I said the food is great if they can get it right.
Pizza was so-so. Very few customers on the day we were there. After meal was finished waitress hovered until the bill was paid. Since we wanted to take our time and linger after the meal we did not pay right away. The manager even came to collect! We felt very rushed.
Really solid pizza and gelato. Potentially relevant: seating is primarily high tops, and this is a strip mall setting.
It was good and the pizza was very good
We love this place! The service was amazing!
The food was excellent! We loved our time there. We celebrated both a birthday and New Year’s Eve!
LOVED MidiCi! Our pizzas were fantastic. We didn’t eat the Nutella calzone for dessert but it looked divine. We felt that the food was way better than other local pizza restaurants around the same price. The ambiance of the restaurant was great as well; unique and inviting. We will definitely be back!
Horrible horrible horrible. Worst service ever! Don’t waste your time dining in here. They are not equipped to have waited tables. It was just an overall awful dining experience!
We were very disappointed from the moment we arrived, we were greeted at the door and were told they were going to clean a table for our party of six ( we had been there before and enjoyed it, we wanted our adult children to also try it)
After waiting for the table to be cleaned at least 20 min, we had not been addressed so we left. We had watched staff run around crazy and customers not happy with their service ( heard complaints and watched others trying to get the waiters attention ) . Since we never were served it was difficult to rate the food
It was an uncomfortable experience to observe. It wasn’t even that crowded but they were obviously overwhelmed. One of the wait staff told my husband they can’t get help.
They have a good product but with the poor service, I’m afraid they won’t be around too long.
Kitchen was quite slow but the food was good when it came out.
Loved it! Service was great... Friendly and very polite. And we all enjoyed the pizzas and beers!
We had a wonderful dinner. The prosciutto wrapped melon with burrata was amazing and so was the margarita pizza. We had a bottle of La Braccesca Sabazio which was exceptional. So glad we found this place!
Lovely night to sit outside. Service was very attentive. Cocktails with blood orange juice were beyond delicious. Salads and pizza were excellent and burrata appetizer was scrumptious. I highly recommend.
Food is always spectacular....problem is food comes out at all different times. This is a huge problem and you hear people complaining
We love this pizza however our last visit was not so good. Apparently they were understaffed and couldn’t handle a large table which compromised other diners. Our server was working very hard to make her tables happy but when the kitchen can’t produce there’s not much she can do. We noticed other tables were getting upset but all in all everyone saw the frustration of the servers and remained patient. Not only was the kitchen backed up but our pizza was not up to par. Pizzas were not hot, dry and wimpy for the toppings as well as some were missing. Medici is usually our go to for pizza and probably will be as I hope this was an isolated incident. I’m writing this review so management is aware.
Perhaps the best wood-fired Neopolitan pizza in Southwest Florida. We have tried them all down here. As foodies from the DC-area, my wife and I have been searching everywhere down here for 5 years for pizza like this. We are thrilled to have found this great place. It's sparkling and well-decorated. The service was also attentive, accurate and punctual. We will be going often.
Great ambiance and lovely decor. The food was awesome and fills you up just enough!
Food is always spectacular....service is always great. The only thing we dislike is that food comes out at all different times. Pizzas are supposed to be super fast but show up after others are done eating....kind of frustrating watching others eat at the same table while waiting for food to arrive.
We eat at this restaurant regularly and they just changed from ordering yourself to full wait service. I am not yet very happy with the service as the food still comes out very spotty. Always great food but usually 1 or 2 people in the party are waiting for their food watching the others eat.
Will we eat here again? Yes. Would we go out of our way to drive here for a meal? Maybe. Our food was fresh, tasty and suitable so we were satisfied. We did not expect anything extraordinary or haute cuisine and Midici falls into a realm of decent chain, mall style restaurant. Our service was very, very good.
