The restaurant had a strong smell, maybe from the pizza ovens? It's a seat yourself kind of place, with a basic Italian restaurant menu. The food was good. The staff was very nice!
By looking at the pictures the place looks nicer than it is. The menu is interesting however the food doesn’t live up to it. We ordered a four cheese calzone, the center was cold and the cheese was not melted. This was Valentine’s Day, they were not fully booked, yet the calzone took over 30 minutes to arrive and it was undercooked. Nothing special about the place, it is very ordinary and mediocre. Will not be coming back.
The menu is very limited. Not enough pasta dishes but with a name with neapolitan pizza in it you kinda guess hardly any pasta dishes. Variety would be nice
Food took a very long time especially when they were only 3-4 other tables of customers. One person in party was served cold and hard pasta. The server did take back and bring a new one but by then the rest of the party had finished. Decent tasting food but was not impressed with service time.
Our first visit to Medici. They were not overly busy when we arrived, but they seemed unprepared with our reservation. However, they made adjustments and were able to accommodate us.
We had the bacon wrapped dates which were outstanding. My wife ordered the baked penne and we were told that they were out of the penne, but they came back a few minutes later and said that they were able to find some. I had the forest Pizza and it was delicious. Our friend who joined us had also ordered the penne with added chicken, but when they brought her dish there was no chicken added. However our server was able to correct that oversight, and also brought bread which was supposed to be with the penne but was not initially delivered with the dishes.
I am not sure how long they have been open at this location, but it seems like there were startup types of missteps that occurred. However, everything was taken care of in the end.
The food was ok. The place was ok
The place is shocking.
I’ve never entered a more uninviting pizzeria. Ventilation is terrible as the smell of burning wood hit us the moment we walked in. We stayed there no more than 10 minutes and left with clothes which smelled like smoke.
The layout of the restaurant is strange In that the space is huge but there are very few tables and the place just isn’t comfortable. It was Friday night at 7:30 and there was hardly any one there.
As for the food, we were really looking forward to eating there. I had made a reservation. I drew the line and walked out with my family when I watched one gentleman (pizzaiolo?) trying to toss dough but the dough looked completely foreign to him.
Burrata, meatballs, and pizza were all excellent. Hit a snag when pasta order was not served with correct sauce. Sent it back, but got no sauce and little sympathy from our waiter.
Server lacked people skills, was inattentive, and clearly inconvenienced that we were seated in his section. Restaurant was quiet and not busy. Pizza and burrata were good. The rest of the evening was disappointing.
The restaurant wasn’t busy at 7:30PM, Saturday. It took a while for our waiter to come to the table. My drink from the bar wasn’t what I ordered. The food server took our order to the table next to us & we had to remind our waiter we ordered a salad..,I think the table next to us actually had our salad.
This place must be just open. It took an hour and we still hadn't gotten our pizza. The server was very attentive but there was not a lot he could do. All the tables around us were experiencing the same. Our kids had eaten an appetizer, salad and a main course. We eventually got our pizza to go. We had eaten at another location in atlanta previously and had a better experience. Maybe just teething probems?
Gabriel was the best! Celebrated my birthday and they helped make the evening very special.
Service was terrible, food was OK at best, ambiance of a fast-food joint. They’re trying, but no reason to eat here.
So glad we discovered this cute Italian restaurant! The family enjoyed the pizzas and pastas but the true star was the Nutella dessert calzone. We look forward to returning to dine on the patio.
Great little place. Was a bit worries when I saw some of the service concerns, but as with anyplace that gets busy you have little wait. But the food is well worth it. The burrata is awesome not sure where they get it from or if they make it here but it was out of this world. The pizza what can I say lite airy and delicious. josh took great care of us and told us a lot about the menu. We will truly be back. Dont let the reviews sway your decision. To the managers and owner awesome place
Very nice and polite people, poor service. The system seems confusing. Needs better management of process.
Awesome food and great service. If your looking for a fast food place then dont eat here. But if you want true authentic, fresh made to order Italian food, the best neapolitan pizza then this is place for you. There was a diner besides us who must've thought this was a fast food pizza joint. He seemed in a rush and could wait 10 minutes for his food. Sadly he missed on an opportunity to have excellent true italian food his loss. But we will definitely be back. Keep up the good work
Fun date night spot! The Hubs and I loved the fresh pasta with bolognese sauce and enjoyed the wine flight. Next time we will save room for dessert.
Stove was out so there was no pasta dishes.
Oven vent wasn't working so restaurant was smoky and we smelled like a campfire.
They don't know what they are. A pizza take out, a sit down restaurant with a waiter, or a place to eat and watch TV. Most of the indoor space is kitchen.
Pizza was pretty good as was the salad.
If they don't figure it out and improve fast, they won't last long.
This place has such potential but the overall experience was poor. The restaurant interior is open and very loud. Seating isn’t comfortable and while the kitchen is open to view, it gets lost in the empty, bland interior. The pizza was not very good considering the quality of ovens and the ingredients they used. I was expecting something more authentic, more cozy and inviting.
Met a client here for drinks - great selection of wines by the glass and cocktails. The bartender was fun to talk to and made some great suggestions.
My daughter and I loved the gluten-free pizza and salads! Our server was very attentive - highly recommend!
Saw reviews but, wanted to give them a try. Glad we did. True neopolitan pizza and the pastas fresh and excellent. Don't pass this gem by
The restaurant it's located in a very convenient spot. The natural light coming in makes the meal and the ambience so much nicer and natural. Zeke is a great host. He answered all of our questions about the menu and the ingredients and made some spectacular suggestions to our meal. The margherita pizza is probably the best I've had in Dallas. The house salad was top with an amazing vinaigrette and the Signature Nutella Calzone has made me a nutella fan now. This is definitely a 5 star meal and I. Ant wait to go back to try the Chicken Pesto!
