   Such a beautiful spot with absolutely delicious food. My wife and I came here on a Tuesday in the early evening. We ordered the arancini, foccacia and crispy polenta to start. All three were delicious and the perfect size for two people. We then had the carbonara, the bolognese, and the lasagna. The carbonara was smoky, eggy, creamy perfection. The bolognese was so balanced. I didn't try the short ribs lasagna but my wife loved it. I also had the amalfi coast cocktail. It was like a fresh, Italian Paloma. So citrus and tart. We will definitely be back and we already have plans to try the gnocchi and the puttanesca!!

   MIDA is always a must! Every time a step in MIDA I feel that vibe. Our Server Clara was super on top and everything was perfect. We got the Antipasti, Arancini, Mussels, Carrots for apps, for entrees we shared the Lasagna, Paccheri Bolognesa, Gnocchi Caccio e Pepe, Carbonara and the Chicken. Like always, every bite was a explosion of pure pleasure and flavors. The drinks was perfect, they sent us a little spicy tequila sour while we were waiting for our table, which was a great call from the bartender. I`ve been going there for over 2 years and I will keep going for many more. We were lucky to see the Greatest Chef Douglass in action, taking care of each single plate and making the best pasta I ever had in my life. I really recommend MIDA for all my friends and keep bringing them to enjoy their outstanding food, drinks and service.

    MIDA Fruitti misto — Very nice crispy texture but not over cooked like many Italian places in Boston nowadays. Bread — perfectly crispy not chewy like perfectly delightful sourdough. Chef prepared separate dipping for bread with balsamic. Very fresh olive oil and balsamic. Balance of Calabrian chili and chive is perfect. Arancini — light and airy. Just superb. A hint of spice in the tomato sauce. Not at all too heavy. No meat but it doesn’t need it. Truly the pride and joy of the restaurant as an appetizer. Polenta square — so fluffy and airy. Super simple but wonderful with pink and black peppercorn, honey, and cheese. I didn’t think I was going to like it so much but I truly did. The balance of flavors explodes in your mouth like a firework as the polenta serves as a soft and creamy agent for the transportation of tastes. Short rib lasagna — better than your mom’s. If you won’t have an allergic reaction to this, why won’t you order this? The best dish in house. Hands down. The kitchen is a well-oiled machine. Chef is on point with his hands-on leadership and his directions. Everyone here has a “can-do” attitude which makes the place run smoothly. Chef should be so proud of what he has accomplished in this south end gem hidden away from the north end chaos.

    The food and service are first rate! We couldn’t decide between the muscles and the duck wings, ordered the muscles, which were excellent, and the house comped us a half order of the duck wings. An absolute must.Luxardo/honey mustard glaze is wonderful. The drumsticks themselves crispy and juicy. We also had the tuna puttanesca. We highly recommend it. Amaretto gelato for dessert was delicious but olive oil added to the desert was unnecessary. The gelato rich enough alone.

    We had 8:15 reservations and weren’t seated until almost 9:00 but the staff was very nice and gave us an appetizer as an accommodation. Our server was pleasant but new and still learning but it was still a good evening just not 5 star. The noise level plus the loud music make it difficult to catch up with friends. I think they could turn it down a little.

    My mom was very pleased with her Mother’s Day dinner. Having been to both Mida locations many times, we thought the food was exceptionally good—one of the top 5 gnocchi dishes, ever—on this occasion. The service was great too—thanks for a great experience!

    short rib lasagna crazy delicious. Arancini was crisp outside and perfectly yummy inside. Mothers day special drink was delicious and well balanced between the fruit and alcohol. Shashuka was so disappointing not for flavor but due to being so heavy on the tomato and not much else.

    The food was great. The space itself is quite cramped. So much so that they don't even have room for a proper host station. The entire room is open so the noise level inside is quite high, you'll likely have to raise your voice to be heard. The lighting was also so dim at times (it kept changing) that it was very difficult to read the drink menu that we kept.

    Outstanding service and food! It’s been a while since I was so impressed with a restaurant’s food but MIDA knocked it out of the park. We got their 5 pasta for $80 special (three of which are pictured: an amazing value and huge portion sizes for a two person special), arancini, duck wings and a cheese board (also pictured, this spread is prettier than I am) and all three of us left stuffed and with left overs. Drinks were fantastic as well and our server was incredibly attentive and very friendly and welcoming. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!

    Experience felt rushed from the minute we sat down. Server asked for both drink and dinner orders at the first hello and kept nudging us to move through our courses. The host started hovering toward end of our meal and I asked our server if we were holding up the table, the answer to which was "not that I know of." Meanwhile the host was pulling our server aside and giving us the side eye. I understand that we're all readjusting our pacing after the pandemic but clear expectations would be helpful. I'm happy to cooperate with time restrictions. What we all got instead were weird bad vibes that made the whole experience uncomfortable.

    The service was outstanding. We ordered the calamari there was barely on the plate and it was bland, oily and too many fried lemons. The Bucatini was salty, the short rib lasagna tasted like pizza. The tiramisu was flavorful and love how they poured the espresso on top.

    I can't recommend Mida enough. The food is amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive without being pushy or making you free rushed. We ate at the location in the South End and with the skyline in the background it looked like a set from a movie in Boston. Three of us went for Mangia Mondays where for $80 you can try five of their pasta dishes. It's meant for two but it's more than enough for three with leftovers. Mida is a gem and I highly recommend you visit either location.

    We came here the night before running the Boston Marathon for some pasta. Great food, on point service. Cute spot -would love to come back when I can have a glass of wine with my dinner, LOL.
