Food was outstanding. Drinks and service did not lag behind either. Some of the best modern takes on Italian dishes in the Boston area.
10/10 - You know when you leave a restaurant and you say it was great BUT.... there was NO buts about MIDA!! From the moment we entered we were delighted by the vibe, service and outstanding food. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food , service (Diego went above and beyond) + ambiance.
I def sent all my friends the restaurant’s info so they can also live the experience
Loved it. Great staff. Amazing food. We will be back soon!
Food, service, hospitality are all amazing in a cozy (yet very Covid-safe) environment.
Mangia Monday is the best ever! such a great value and some of the best pasta in Boston
Absolutely amazing experience! Recommend getting the mussels.
The team @ TRILLFIT talk about MIDA regularly and I’d never been before. I always heard good things but to experience it myself was even better. I can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful meal at MIDA. Quite possibly the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had. 10/10 will be dining there again!
This was my first time dining here and was it a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Ending our night with the tiramisu was perfect! A great way to celebrate my mom and fiancée meeting for the first time. The day ended here and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you MIDA!
AMAZING. Mida is my new favorite South End restaurant. I have never had a dish there that I didn't love! Definitely recommend to everyone.
Rushed out of our seating even tho we were early
It was very important to me to support BOB on my trip to Boston, and LOVE Italian food, so I made sure Mida was on the must try list. Great service and ambiance. The tables are separated by screens and the servers were all wearing masks. We ordered the focaccia and frito misto for appetizers and they paired well with our cocktails while waiting for our entrees. Unfortunately the meal was a bit disappointing; cacio e pepe is my favorite pasta dish so I was very excited to see it on the menu and immediately chose that as my entree, my friend ordered the lobster carbonara. I’m not sure using gnocchi rather than spaghetti was the issue but I wasn’t ecstatic with my dish... it was good, just not great. I should have taken the waiter up on his offer to order a different dish, but didn’t want to be a bother. The lobster in my friend’s carbonara was cooked to perfection, but all you tasted was the lemon. When she mentioned it to the waiter they refired another portion with less lemon and it was amazing. Overall an okay meal, with great drinks and attentive service. There were other options on the menu that looked good, so maybe I’ll try the short rib lasagna or the carbonara with less lemon if we come back.
Wonderful service, superb meals and cocktails. Thank you!
Saw on Phantom Gourmet and decided to go! Mangia Monday was fabulous! Food was delish and our server was so knowledgeable about the intricacies of the food. Wonderful experience!
Best pasta in Boston
10/10 would recommend! We had a slight issue with the seating at the beginning but as soon we voiced our concern the entire staff was beyond expectations! We were moved immediately and they went above and beyond by giving us complimentary drinks and appetizers for the mishap. Will definitely be going back thanks to Nestor and Jenny in particular!
Found the last reservation on a Saturday night here and had an amazing. Also very pleased with the service! Wild highly recommend and will be going back soon
Great food and service. For COVID-19 standards, it was great to have plexiglass separations between tables. It would be nice to have hand sanitizer on the table like I've seen at other restaurants. Music was a little loud if dining with your family but was fine for my boyfriend and I. Our waitress had excellent drink and food recommendations. Highly recommend the Secret Garden cocktail and the short rib lasagna. Overall, great experience and will be visiting again in the future!
The food at MIDA was a revelation: how to craft the most delicious and unique (but perfectly balanced) versions of classic and new favorites. Each dish was a blend of fresh ingredients, well-made and presented by a friendly, attentive staff (even on a busy Saturday night), in a well-utilized space that didn’t overwhelm but got details right. MIDA is a must-visit for everything from the interesting but drinkable cocktails, to the best starters in the city, to delicious mains, to the tiramisu that had me channeling Sally in “When Harry Met...”. MIDA so expertly coaxes all the best out of a dining experience, it’s my new favorite in Boston.
Some of the dishes are really world class, including arancini, tomato pesto pasta and tiramisu. The crispy polenta is really unique with the hot of lemon zest.
Incredible service and food. Bartender made us an incredible mocktail for my pregnant wife without us asking for one. Will be back many more times.
We had the Buccatini and Lasagne. Both were delicious, but the lasagna was AMAZING! We got gelato to go, and enjoyed it at home. Looking forward to the fried chicken sandwich for lunch this week!
Great food and very nice staff! Very good ambience
Short rib lasagna and eggplant parm were great. The music created a great atmosphere. Wait staff was super attentive amidst the covid precautions.
There hasn’t been a time that I’ve gone to MIDA and everything is less than exceptional.
Overall is a good restaurant. I think for an Italian restaurant is crucial to have good bread and olive oil which they have, but they are very limited in the quantity they offer each time you request it (one slice per person). They should be more generous with the bread given the prices of a meal here.
The mussel appetizer was outstanding.
Entree’s were good size portion & very good.
We will be back!
This was the first visit since Mida put up excellent plexiglass dividers and the ambiance was great. The food and service were up to their normal high standard.
An amazing dinner from too yo bottom. Great wine list and consistent through all courses. Amazing desserts (biscotti gelato, tiramisu and on)
Great food, great service and black owned....awesome experience!!!
We went for my husbands birthday and were very happy! The food was thoughtfully prepared and the service was top notch. Stellar evening and we look forward to returning soon. Thank you!
We had an 8:30 reservation inside the restaurant, but had to move it earlier due to a family conflict. We were seated outside literally in the MIDDLE of the sidewalk, with pedestrians bumping into us and no light/candle to see menu, food, anything! Every other outside table was behind a fence for privacy that the restaurant had put up except for ours.
Our waiter was very preoccupied with what looked like regular customers, so we waited long stretches of time for service. The food was good. The prices are insane for what we ordered (basic gem salad and eggplant parmesan) and the service we received. Disappointed.
The best restaurant in Boston, without question. No doubt.
The food was delicious, the
I believe because of covid their menu was very reduce. It was not a lot of the food on their Instagram. I gave it okay reviews because I called up there 3 hours before my reservation to see if we can bring cupcakes in. The lady was really nice and perky and she claimed we could. When we arrived it wasn’t allowed. It was annoying because we would have left the box at home. Parking is terrible so who wants to carry a box? They could have at least accommodate us and gave my cousin a comp desert for her birthday since we couldn’t eat the cupcakes they claimed we could at first. I think if they had their full menu I would really like the place. As of right now, I wouldn’t recommend it until things get back to normal. It was mediocre for the price.
salad was overdressed. wish there were a more extensive wine list
10 out of 10– I will be back soon!
