Food was outstanding, service impeccable, ambience lovely…it was a perfect birthday celebration!
Everything was incredible. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect dinner.
Both dishes incredibly salty. Disappointed
Candy was our server and went above and beyond! We had such an amazing dinner and highly recommend MIDA for any occasion. Chef Douglass Williams knocks it out of the park every single time and I can’t wait to see what he dreams up next!
Being my first time at MIDA I did not know what to expect. However I was pleasantly surprised to the delicious food and great atmosphere. MIDA is a great date night spot or place to go with a small group.
Mangia monday is the best deal in boston!!!!!!!!!!
Great mangia Monday deal! Really delicious pasta, delicious cocktails.
Fantastic service and some of the beat pasta I’ve ever had!
Loved the food! If the gnocchi had been with a tomato sauce they would have been even better.
I had such high hopes for Mida. I've read so many good reviews and when we arrived, the dishes coming out to tables looked legit. The experience was unfortunately subpar. Let's start with the food:
To start we ordered the mussels and frito miso. Both were excellent. The mussels had a very large portion while the frito was a little smaller. Seriously excellent. Hope still high at this point. Unfortunately, it was downhill from here. We ordered a pasta course for the table, the carbonara. This went off the rails. The sauce was lumpy and had a sour taste as though someone screezed an entire lemon into it. The pancetta was severely uncooked. Ok, carbonara is a tough dish to get right. Let's hope for better on the main course. We had the short rib lasagna, the eggplant parm, and the chicken. The chicken was the standout with a nice smoked farrow accompanying it. The eggplant and lasagna were both plagued by a sweet marinara. The lasagna seemed to be overcooked as on of the edges was black. Not golden brown, black. Also, not sure diced chives work with a lasagna with marinara sauce.
Ok, let's get to service. Beyond terrible. When we arrived, the hostess was on the phone. She didn't even try to acknowledge me. I stood there as several wait staff and bartenders walked by. Ok, things happen. But the experience just continued to get worse. The waiter took the appetizer order before the drink order. When we finally tried to wave him down to get a drink order placed, he says, give me a second. 5 minutes later we can finally place the drink order. If you're going to be a waiter that doesn't write things down, then have the ability to remember the whole order. Where's my focaccia dude? On top of all of that, there was a general aire of "ugh why do I have to wait on you" It's hard to cite any one example, just an overall vibe that he was throwing off.
While some of the dishes killed, I can't recommend Mida based on the overall experience.
Tasty appetizer. I usually don't eat red meat, but made an exception for the lasagna, and it was excellent! I'm glad we could eat outside because the inside of the restaurant felt like a refrigerator.
We thought it was all just fine. Did not love how packed in we were and the service was really slow.
The food is spectacular and vibes are amazing!
Great time and great food as always
The food was great!
I could not rave about this experience more! The food and service were incredible. I completely enjoyed myself!
Excellent evening at Mida. The food was excellent. The ambience was great. The service was excellent. Did I say it was excellent? We ordered the Arancini, focaccia, polenta, carrots, eggplant parm, ricotta gnocchi, and carbonara. All were delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes.
Super friendly service, great low-light ambiance, and the food was beyond unbelievable!
Service was fantastic. Carolina was lovely and very attentive. The wine selections were nice
The bolognese and gnocchi were too salty
Waitress was awesome! Food was unbelievable, the focaccia stole the show.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. The short rib lasagna is a must! The sauce in the mussels is divine (dip your bread in it). Everything has a wonderful flavor, fresh. Overall a wonderful experience - we love MIDA. Took some friends here from out of town and they loved it as well!
The restaurants a little too noisy we were kind of shouting in straining to talk to each other. Service was not great left us alone and didn’t come back to see if we wanted more wine for a long time. Food was just OK. Could use more flavor
We sat outside and had a fantastic meal. The arancini were probably the best I ever had. Fantastic calamari and the entrees were also delicious - highly recommend the short rib lasagna. Finished with a nice pistachio gelato.
Fantastic food, service. Will go again and again
Less noisy to eat outside.
Fun evening at Mira to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The server helped to make it extra special and even brought her a tiramisu at the end of the meal. We loved all the pasta dishes and the baked mussels made a great appetizer.
As always, MIDA is a reliably delicious meal with great service and good drinks. The expanded patio made the meal even more enjoyable in nice fall weather.
Service, food, and beverages were fantastic. Automatic, supersonic, hypnotic, funky fresh… my wife and I visited Boston for our honeymoon and capped it off with a late night dinner at Mida. The staff was extremely welcoming, ambiance was hip and romantic and the food was real and spectacular. Would highly recommend!
Excellent evening. Wonderful service from our waiter, Will. Reminded our evenings in Italy. The food was marvelous. Great to spend an evening outside.
Amazing experience and wonderful flavors! Will definitely return again.
Mida is the cutest little restaurant on the corner of a very busy intersection. The waitstaff was amazing!! They even gave our table a couple small complimentary food samples. the food was delicious, as well as my cocktail. I will be dining at Mida again and I would definitely recommend it!!
Patio could be more attractive
Inside handsome but we chose to eat outside
Will definitely go again
Experience was great yet the Mida Slam was just ok.
Mida's normally terrific tiramisu was not up to par. The cookie was stale.
Everything about this place is A1. Overall great energy from everyone who works there. Great food. Taste hand made with love drinks are good. Ambiance is great. Near everything. Definitely explore their menu.
We always have a fantastic experience at Mida. The food abs service are fantastic. My only complaint is that the Carbonara pasta was a bit over salted.
The food at Mida is outstanding! The dishes are inventive and yummy. The service is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Mida.
Have always and will always love this place.
The servers were all wonderful and well versed on both the wine list and menu. The food was mostly delish although very rich. The chef was heavy handed on oils used in every dish we ordered, even in the red sauce. One of our meals was sent back due to excessive salt. Overall we enjoyed our experience at MIDA.
Outstanding Bucatini - comes with my full recommendations. Truly exquisite Italian cuisine.
