Mida is a beautiful South End gem. They have delicious food options and an amazing list of Italian wines. Their staff are incredibly knowledgeable and were able to find wonderful options for my guest and I. I can't wait to go back!
We are well traveled foodies but rarely provide reviews. So, pay attention to the stars accorded. Several of these Italian courses were fresh presentations prepared with considerable originality. I sensed both traditional southern cuisine and carribean influences. Frankly, we were both kind of blown away. A restaurant can be a truly wonderful experience without bringing any of these of additional elements that Mida has also brought into play. We will be back.
Brunch & service was amazing! Cannot wait to try dinner.
From the moment we were seated the waitress started pushing us to order the multi-course tasting menu. None of us were interested, and we found her persistence to be annoying. The appetizers the 4 of us shared (arancini and calamari) were overly spicy and salty. We all found the arancini to be especially disappointing. My entrée, Lobster Scampi, was overly rich and salty. My husband did not like the Bucatini, and our friend did not like her Ricotta Gnocchi (she said it tasted weird). Three out of the 4 people in our party did not wish to finish our entées. The atmosphere was neighborhood casual and the noise level was low to average. None of us will return to MIDA. There are far better options in the South End.
Nice place, but the music was just a bit too loud for comfortable conversation and my entree was a tad bit too salty. Service was really slow, and it wasn't that busy, so I was a little confused as to why.
FIVE Stars! 100% amazing. Very Memorable. Servers and Hostess were attentive, friendly and enthusiastic - made the perfect recommendations. Atmosphere is intimate, lighting is warm and inviting with wonderful views to the streetscape of the city. We are already planning a return visit.
Loved this jewel of a restaurant. The food is outstanding and the prices are reasonable. Menu is limited but they seem to zero in on something for everyone. Would definitely go back!
Great food and ambience with very reasonable prices!
Amazing food and great service. For sure one of my new “go to” places.
The chicken was amazing. The cocktails were awful. It was very loud.
Great neighborhood restaurant. We were here for Sunday brunch. The pasta and gnocchi were delicious. The place is very simple and modern and fun. The service was very nice too. I would love to see it buzz at dinnertime. Will be back for sure
Food was outstanding and service was even better.
The tasting menu with wine pairing was incredible
Overpriced for what they served. Pasta was average and service inexperienced. We wouldn’t go back.
Really good food. Great vibe and the lighting was great.
We went for ALL YOU CAN EAT Pasta night last Monday with another couple. We had a sampling of every pasta served (there were 5) -served family style. It was fantastic and fun! We declared ach pasta delivered to our table as our absolute favorite.....until the next one came.
And we shared a tiramisu for dessert - we all agreed it was the most delicious we have ever had.
Good food - small portions
Great vibes and food
I’m not one to write a bad review. I’ll just say that I will not go back.
Came for birthday celebration, tried chefs selection for the day with wine pairing , the food and wine pairing were good choices. Don’t remember our waitress name , however she also made the experience better.
Definitely planning to come back.
Thanks to all staff.
My new favorite spot in Boston. Cannot speak highly enough about this place!! Amazing appetizers, food, drinks and service. The restaurant has a great overall feel and vibe. Great for anniversaries or special occasions. Noted in my reservation that it was a celebratory dinner for my boyfriend and the staff went above and beyond seating us right near the kitchen where we got to talk with the chef and had the best seats in the house. Will definitely be going back soon.
Our Brazilian waitress was fabulous and attentive! Our food was delightful!
We went to mida for their Monday pasta special and absolutely loved it! Pasta was fresh and delicious and the cocktails and wine were impressive too. The experience made for a special Monday night treat - we’ll be back!
We have been to MIDA a number of times now and always walk away more than pleased. On this occasion, we wanted to try their Mongia Pasta Monday special. Again, we were not disappointed. The value for the unlimited pasta was fantastic and the variety offered was perfect. Service was polite and attentive. Everything seemed to be perfectly timed as it came out. Yet again, another great dinner experience (which can be rare at most places in Boston). Thanks MIDA! We'll definitely be back!
Excellent everything. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere were perfect. Pasta and appetizers especially good. I’d definitely go back.
What a great great restaurant! The food was outstanding and The server Camila was so welcoming and made excellent recommendations for food options!
Food was great. The service was not very good. We felt rushed from the minute we sat down. It was not
the enjoyable Saturday night we thought we were going to have with friends.
The food was excellent as always. The negatives were the noise level and the service was very good but not perfect. As always, my friend and I shared three dishes, which we asked to be brought in courses. The first two were served as asked, but the third came shortly after the second, which we had only just begun eating. On the positive side, the restaurant gave us an excellent appetizer without our asking, and brought a small desert gratis with the after-dinner drink I ordered. Those extra touches were much appreciated.
Great food, pastas were amazing the service was really slow and we waited about 45 mins after our reservation to be seated
Absolutely recommend doing the chef’s table, with wine pairing.
Nothing special here. Not sure why people crowd this place.
Always a great meal, and this time I tried something new (Paccheri Bolognese), and no surprise, I could get hooked on this "new" dish just as easily as I did my previous go-to, the lobster scampi. I have celiac disease and I always appreciate being able to safely eat (delicious) pasta dishes out. I love the neighborhood feel of the restaurant and the friendly service. It was my birthday but I didn't have room for dessert, so our waitstaff brought me an aluminum cupcake liner with a candle. How sweet is that!
The best!! Truly our favorite neighborhood restaurant!! Staff couldn’t be nicer and food always A++++
Celebrating an anniversary and we were pleased with the experience. The food was great and so was the ambience. The waitress was knowledgeable about wine and was able to also make a dinner recommendation which turned out to be delicious.
Great food, and excellent service. Celebrated a 21st birthday and our server made it special. Thank you all for helping make a special night even more special....
Wonderful food and the servers were terrific. My only criticism is the noise level -- fortunately they don't play music, but because of the restaurant's design, conversation gets really loud. Maybe not ideal for a quiet, romantic dinner, but if you're with friends or family and you're out to have fun and a great meal, then this is the restaurant for you.
Everything was perfect except for the food. The lobster pasta is supposedly what they’re known for. It’s average and not comparable to other lobster pastas I’ve had.
An old friend and I were both in Boston for a meeting and decided to meet at MIDA for dinner. I had been there once before, and she had never been. We both had the mangia pasta experience, which was a great value and delicious pasta. The amount of food was generous. We also had a serving of focaccia, which was overkill but we had to try it! We were so stuffed by the end. The food was rich, seasoned well, with interesting combinations and flavors. We had gelato and tiramisu for dessert, which was pure gluttony. Our servers were excellent, engaging but not hovering, pacing the food delivery well. We ate too much, laughed a lot and had a great time. I wish MIDA was was in DC! I would be a regular.
Great night celebrating our anniversary!
Had a reservation for 2, but came late. Table was horrible, next to the kitchen. Had to seat at the bar instead. Would not have gone there if I had known I would end up at that table or the bar. Disappointed.
