Great food in a casual but cool setting
I wouldn't recommend the Valentine's Day menu. It is a bit overprices and not as flavorful as I thought. I may check this place out on a regular night, but wouldn't do V-Day again.
the food was weird. i ordered the split pea risotto and it was split pea stew, not risotto. and it was under cooked. i really wanted to like it but it was a let down
A wonderful meal in a great setting with outstanding service!
Outstanding food, Service was thoughtful and efficient
Brought friends from France to dinner there. They were delighted with the food and ambiance.
Doug Edwards is a food magic maker everyone should enjoy....
A great experience. Outstanding food and a very friendly staff. I spoke with the owner/chef after my meal and he truly wants to provide an outstanding experience. I will be back often.
Mida is now a new favorite. It has it all--delicious food, welcoming service, and a fun and lively energy that includes a mix of communities and generations. We can't wait to go back.
Fantastic. The brunch chicken sandwich was incredible!
Very nice, great food, attentive wait staff.
The food and hospitality belong among the best in the city. The fact that the room is filled with various faces that do not necessarily look like each other is a refreshing change in the local restaurant scene.
Everything was great
Very nice place. I love MONDAYS :
place is nice and clean and service
The restaurant does not look bad, not cluttered but nice and sleek, however the food was terrible, I will NOT go back. service was not that great either. you figure when you order pasta the server asks you if you like grated cheese and fresh pepper? not here. he even looked annoyed when I asked for cheese ( which was not freshly grated but from the jar!), and he gave me another look when I asked for salt & pepper for the table. the pasta was so bad that as a lamb lover I told my friend “ this is the worst lamb I have had in my life” his food was not edible either. we won’t go back, ever.
We went on a freezing cold night but our reception from waitstaff was warm and friendly. Cocktail and dinner menu innovative and yummy. Thought the wine list was a teeny bit on the pricy side but not too far out of line. I ordered duck which was one of the best presentations I've had. My dining partners enjoyed their homemade pasta dishes. We enjoyed a chat with the very charming chef Douglass after our meal. Can't wait to return.
Had been dying to try this restaurant and finally did. Everything about it was outstanding; amazing drinks even creative non-alcoholic drinks too! Mussels app was best ever and pasta dishes were incredible with friendly service and great window views. Delicious cappuccino and great biscotti - Can't wait to go again!
The dining room was empty and everyone was sat in the bar area - it led to a more energetic dining ambience but more difficult navigation for staff. Food was excellent, drinks were great, and I would return (with a request to sit in a booth next time)
I went with a friend and had the chef's tasting menu. Great value! Everything was delicious. Highly recommended!
This place is suburb. The atmosphere was great by not being too posh, but also not a fast food, sit down type restaurant. The food was delicious and I appreciate that they had gluten free options for their dishes. Their service was amazing and had someone attend to us at all points throughout our time their. We ended up staying for 3 hrs because of the ambiance and people. I'm grateful that I was able to experience this gem in Boston. I recommend this place to everyone.
Food was fantastic and the service was great. Seating is a little tight so be prepared to get friendly with your neighbors!
Best restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining in Boston. Terrific food, creatively prepared, knowledgeable staff, super friendly and prompt. Our party of 4 we're heading to the theatre so timecwas a factor. The staff ensured our food was delivered with plenty of time to enjoy. I can't wait to go back... again and again!!
This was a lucky find for us one night before an event at Symphony Hall and it was AMAZING. The food was delicious, the staff were awesome, and we can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
Overall a nice experience. Only negative - we were there for my girlfriend's birthday, which was noted on our reservation, and it wasn't acknowledged (despite having ordered dessert). We chose not to mention it at the time.
Food is very good. All the pasta is made in house. Service was outstanding. Servers are very attentive and friendly. They give you a bottle of water when you sit down. Any time anyone who works there walks by and sees your glass half empty they fill it. Staff will converse with you and joke with you if you start talking with them. If you want a more private dinner. they will only talk business with you. The only problem I had with the place is that the tables are tight. You are very close to your neighbor. We were there on a Tuesday night which was not a problem. I am sure it might be a problem on a weekend night. I would definitely go back again.
We're glad MIDA is within walking distance from our home and convenient to the theater and Symphony Hall. The menu is limited as to entree choices with more pastas than anything else. However, I was very happy with my salmon, as was our guest with her chicken and my husband with his pasta dish. We were bummed that, at 5:15pm, the kitchen was out of the short ribs since it was a cold night and that would have made for a good entree choice. It was strange for a restaurant that offers only three non-pasta entrees to be out of one of them so early in the night. The cocktails were very good, but again I was bummed that the bar didn't carry either Grey Goose or Cointreau to make my usual Cosmo. The bartender clearly knows his/her craft, but, for a really great Cosmo, Triple Sec just doesn't pact the umph that Cointreau does. Surprise me with Short Ribs and Cointreau next time please!
Our first time at Mida's brunch was a success. The menu offerings all sounded so good, it was hard to make a choice. Pancakes as an appetizer was a great compromise (for our indecisive group) and nice way to start the meal.
Wonderful food and wine! My only complaint is that we felt rushed; several times we had to tell a server not to clear a plate or a wine glass that wasn't yet done.
Very nice dinner! Some items on the websites menu weren’t there when we had dinner - but everything else was fantastic
The food was great. The arancini appetizer was, as the waitress said, outstanding and a favorite. The four of us each had different pasta dishes (including a gluten-free) and each was superb. The gnocchi was so light in a lovely pepper-cheese sauce and my wife's gluten-free pasta was probably the best gluten-free pasta that we've had. The gelatos for dessert were delicious. Overall, not a bad bite for any of us for the whole meal-- and interesting drinks to boot.
This was our first visit to Mida but will definitely be back. The food was creative and delicious, the service was attentive but not overbearing and the surroundings were quite comfortable. This is a great neighborhood spot
Birthday dinner. Service was great. Liked the wine pour at the table. Foccacia bread starter and aracini were delicious. I had the chicken dish which was cooked perfect. Value was great as were the portions!
Fabulous fabulous fabulous! loved it very much. If you want a nice vibe and atmosphere with a great food this is the place. Chefs table is a recommended.
We did the Monday night Mangia (all you can eat pasta) and tried each of the different pasta dishes. The cool thing, is that they serve them to you in small portions so you don't get stuck eating a ton of only one type and not making it to the others. This was awesome, as we ended up trying dishes we wouldn't normally (lobster pasta), which we actually loved.
Would definitely go again.
Had a great experience...food, drinks, service and ambiance...this is a GEM!
Great experience for my first visit!
Great drinks and food at MIDA. Servers were friendly and helpful and we had a very enjoyable dinner.
Absolutely wonderful food and such amazing service!!
Lovely dining experience!! The ambiance was at once quaint and lively. Delicious food served to perfection. Would absolutely come back. A great place to bring friends, family and co workers!
Loved our visit, food was great. Got to sit by the kitchen which was a treat, recommend it for a great dinner.
Loved the fixed price menu - 4 course, 4 wines! Service excellent and perfectly paced.
This is my favorite restaurant. We were given the chefs table, received a complimentary arancini appetizer that was exquisite, and received tip notch service from all staff members
