Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Sadly, our food was cold and devoid of salt. You can tell it is quality product and cooked properly, but it clearly sat in the kitchen for far too long before hitting the table. And seasoning. Yeegads. We have enjoyed past experiences here much more and will return, but not soon.
Extremely disappointed! Very very loud almost bar like atmosphere. Subpar waitress with terrible customer service. Lobster tail had no flavor .... it tasted/ appeared like it had been boiled and thrown on a plate. The steak was undercooked. Will not be returning!
Set a reservation, tables weren't ready, was told we could go to the packed bar and drink and wait, we don't drink so waited outside. Got in table wasn't ready when we were seated. It was so loud from another table the server couldn't hear us. Red fish was on point, reminded me of Louisiana home cooking however the crab lumps on top were fishy. NY strip was very fatty. Risotto was very good, it's pretty hard to mess up risotto so they nailed it and was probably the best thing I had that evening. Staff were too afraid to ask a table to quiet down. If you're looking to spend $50 plus a plate for a chili's experience then this is your place. Silverware was spotty, dishes the same. I'll never go back. I wish I had went to melting pot. Bathrooms are thrown together, large stacks of paper towels in the women's room and trash on the floor. I'm not impressed at all.
Ordered three ribeyes and three baked potatoes. All of the baked potatoes came out cold and were sent back. Two of the ribeyes that were ordered medium came out medium rare and were sent back. They brought out to more ribeyes that were cooked correctly but for a high-end restaurant, it was unacceptable. Not to mention the time it took to receive our meal.
Food was good, wish steak would’ve been seasoned a little better. Had to ask waitress to fill my drink up every time I had a refill.waited 15 minutes for a check finally asked a manager who got our check and credited it for our 2 beers due to poor service. Not usually this way, when we ate here before service was excellence.
This was for our 11th anniversary. We drove up from Dallas. The food was fantastic, however our server was absolutely the worst server experience we’ve ever had. He was very unfriendly and actually got into an argument with a table next to us for a mistake he made, totally uncalled for.
Enjoyed dinner with my college aged son while he was in town for a baseball game.
Our filets were cooked perfectly and our salads with Blue Cheese on the money. Our server, David T, made it all the better. Great attentive service and awesome knowledge of the menu. If I am ever in OKC again, I will stop in at ole # 7'S!!
In the same vein as national staples like Hyde Park & Ruth’s Chris; Mantles’ is a classic American stakehouse. However, I would say the quality of their meats really sets them apart from those varieties. The staff is there but doesn’t bug you too much which is great for when you have business and good conversation to get to. The 16oz bone in filet was done Pittsburgh style and was phenomenally buttery soft, it took all my will not to gnaw on the bone like a dog. Great wine selection and a nice size bar. The dining room staff seems friendlier and more engaged than the bar staff who were distant and less engaging.
The table at which we were seated was way too small for four adults. We literally had food falling off the table onto the floor. It greatly diminished our dining experience. The food and service were great! The table seating sucked. There was a large booth right next to us that was empty the entire time we were there. I have no idea why the hostess chose not to let us have that table. We will not return unless we are guaranteed a more spacious table arrangement.
The service was not good. The server was not attentive. Some of the food was Luke warm. We asked three different people for his bake potato. He was 3/4 finished his steak before he received his potatoe. Each meal came with a soup or salad. The waiter did not mention that at the time we ordered. I asked after my husband brought it to my attention at the time of the meal and the waiter said yes a salad comes with the meal. Then he asked me if I wanted it.... it took long to get anything we needed.
Overall everything was great. A few little things with serving was off but nothing that is worth complaining about. The Beef Cabaccuia was great appetizer and I had the NY Strip which great. I had a Cesar salad before my steak which I had a bit too much dressing on it. A few minor details of the design of the restaurant was the booth was loose and the table was a little wobbly. Besides minor little issues everything was great.
Whole the steak was good and other food was as well. I found it to be fairly loud inside. Also I did not appreciate that to change from a dinner salad to a Caesar salad cost 10 dollars when you are already paying more then 60 for a steak. Or an additional charge of 10 dollars to go from the soup of the day to another soup that the server recommended.
The best thing about Mickey Mantle’s is that they not only know how to spell customer service (most places and people cannot unfortunately), but actually practice it.
I drink Diet Dr. Pepper, which they normally do not have. When given a little notice, they go get some:)
Food wise my suggestion is the 30 day dry aged cowboy ribeye steak. Nothing anywhere is better. PERIOD
Didn't realize this place is part of Kirby's, which just so happens to be my favorite steak house in
Southlake, TX. The steak was amazing and my husband and son absolutely thought the Lobster Mac N Cheese was amazing. The Cookie dessert was out of this world!
The food was superb. Steaks were the best I’ve had in Oklahoma and compete with among the best I’ve ever had. The lobster was a little over cooked but still good. The only draw back was the time. If we didn’t have a movie to make it would have been fine. But it took us over an hour to get our entrees and we had to immediately get our check while we ate to be able to make our move which was scheduled for almost two hours after our dinner reservation. However we will still be back. Just next time we know to allow a little more time.
