Great food and service. Lamb chops are delicious
The steaks were not the quality that I remembered or expected.
We celebrated our Anniversary and our waiter Paul was amazing!! He gave the perfect blend of service and privacy so we could enjoy our special day. The food was amazing!! Cooked to perfection!! A wonderful place to celebrate or have dinner with friends.
Our entire experience was wonderful! We went for the first time for our Wedding Anniversary. The ambiance was perfect it was quiet and private, our waiter was wonderful and very well versed in the menu , the food was fantastic and they gave us a spectacular complimentary desert w/ a printed picture of us and coupon for our next visit. We could not have asked for a better experience!
I have been to mickey Mantle's for every anniversary my husband and I have had. This was out 10th time going. This was the worse visit we have had. The waiter did not go over the specials with us at all, he wrote down the wrong order because he didn't listen so I was suck with a steak I did not want. Usually when you go for your anniversary you are sat at an intimate table, this time we sat at a table for six for just the two of us. I made this reservation in plenty of time for them to have us schedules for a more private table. My husband's steak was rare in places so he did not eat much. The dessert we had tasted as if it was undercooked and we were told they could not accommodate our requests for sometime to not be on op of the dessert. I assume we will be returning in the future because it is our tradition, but we will also share our experiences with friends and family if they ask.
Steak had to flavor, flavor costs extra. Service was good though
First time at this steakhouse and we were not disappointed at all. Loved the food as well as the most friendliest staff. I would recommend this to everyone.
Great steak, great shrimp cocktail, great bourbon mashed sweet potatoes, great French onion soup, great wine, great singlemalt Scotch, and great peacan pie.
My only complaint; the pecan pie is big enough for two, maybe three!
First-rate all the way.
Very good experience, and would recommend for special occasions!!
Everything was great. Only thing was it took 45 min for the server to get to taking our food orders.
Fantastic meal! Our steaks were excellent and so was the shrimp cocktail. In addition, the wine selection was top notch as well as the cocktail selections. The creamed spinach and the scalloped potatoes were also outstanding. One stand out I have to mention was the crab bisque. AMAZING! I HIGHLY recommend. The creme brulee we enjoyed for dessert was superb as well.
We celebrated our third anniversary the food and service were outstanding!
The noise level was out of this world - very disappointed with loud music.
Amazing food. Sea bass and steaks some of the best! Wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
If you avoid the bar section-way too smoky [dining rooms are non smoking]-this is the best place for steak in Oklahoma City. Forget the over hyped Cattlemen's, it's just an Outback with an old history. Come here. It is quiet-good for conversations staying IN your party, spacious-you are not sitting on top of the next table, and excellent food-prepared and tasting.
Try the 30 day dry aged Cowboy Rib Eye. My favorite. And their cheesecake is not only the best I have ever had, but the slice is large, like 1/6 of the cake-not 1/12 like other restaurants.
And they not only can spell Customer Service, they actually know what it means. For example-I drink Diet Dr Pepper, and while not on their menu, when I make a reservation, even only 2 hours in advance, they have it for me! Where else ANYWHERE would do that??
They serve the best steaks in Oklahoma County!! The service is always good. Salads are wonderful and the side dishes are always excellent! They have a very nice selection of wines by the glass.
Depending on where you're seated and which night you're there, the noise levels can be very high.
We'll be back!
First of all, who still allows smoking in restaurants? This is a “fancy” steakhouse that smells like cigarette smoke as soon as you walk in the lobby. We were there to celebrate a birthday and wanted to be able to listen to the band playing in the bar area. They allow smoking in the bar! Who wants to pay $50 and more for a steak while breathing in cigarette and cigar smoke? Even though it was only around 15 minutes to get moved, we all wreeked for the rest of the night. We asked to be moved and were accommodated. The noise level in the dining room was so high that we could barely hear each other across the big round table. It was even hard to hear the specials that were quickly spouted out by our server who also smelled of powerful body odor. The food was just ok. Steaks needed more seasoning and the asparagus was virtually raw and needed to be trimmed more. Macaroni and cheese was dry and just so so. The mushroom risotto might have been the best dish off the night. We will not return. What a disappointment.
Get the lobster risotto! Enough for two, and it was delicious!
It was definitely busy. Great atmosphere and great service.
Waiter was awesome!! Food was amazing ! Noise level was bad .. 👎 🤷♀️ Couldn’t carry on a conversation, but not sure what you can do about it
My daughters bday; first because i said bday on my set up with open table they asked who and made sure to take special care of my daughter. So good job there; flowers free desert the card etc.. service was slow to start off with and having a second who you were training can slow down service. But my kiddo and GF flew up to see me while I’m out of town; don’t rush us with everything we were just trying to take out time with the meal and catch up. All in all I’d give the experience a 7.5 out of ten. The steak was not worth what we paid. The flavor was off and the meat was more then tough considering a 14 day age in house.
This was my third trip to Mickey mantles. Have been nothing but impressed prior to this visit. However, this trip the steaks were lacking quality to say the least. And, the lobster tails were the worst excuse for seafood I have had anywhere. I recommended the restaurant for our Group special occasion and won’t do it again
Wait between starter, salad and especially the steaks was incredibly long - over 2.5 hrs start to finish
There are better, more ambitious steakhouses in OKC, point blank. The sides are uninspired and bland, the apps are spotty, and my steak was fairly bland and flavorless (my waiter didn’t ask and I was exhausted so I let it go). Great cut of meat, the preparation was average honestly. The crab cake was pretty good, we also enjoyed the calamari. Every dish outside the Wagyu is overpriced. Not bad good, not great food.
Very loud, rushed service with fair food. Not worth 294.00 dollars for two!
Asked when ordering; garlic or truffle butter? Then charged 15.00 dollars each for said butter!
If the 'Mick' was still around, I don't think he would be pleased with what they did to his restaurant.
The best steak I have had hands down. The restaurant is pricey, you are not leaving there without spending $50-$75 per person if you have steak. But it is worth it.
The food was good. It was nothing special and definitely not worth the prices they charge, but it was good nonetheless. Think slightly above an Outback Steakhouse.
The real problem was the service. And by service, I mean the wait to be seated for a reservation and the time it took to receive our food. First of all, we had a reservation where we had to wait for our table to for 20 minutes past our reservation time. There’s no excuse for that if you have a reservation.
Secondly, the time it took for our food to be served was 2 hours long from the time seated. It was 10:30pm when we finally received our food. Who wants to eat dinner that late. Epic failure on the restaurant.
Overall, the only thing special about the place was how overpriced it was. I won’t be going back.
Food was not the best....when paying the amount that is above and beyond normal every day dining I expect a wonderful meal and this was not that! Took two hours from start to finish - the sides weren’t brought out late - the steak was just average nothing special- the salad that my wife ordered was absolutely disgusting and over seasoned- the desert was a dry pecan pie with ice cream and was not anything special....complete tourist trap in my opinion... if you want a great meal go somewhere else..!!!!
Felt rushed by the waiter he was taking food before we were finished, steak was Medioaker it was not worth 60.00 food was way over priced!
The wine was all overpriced. Too expensive for what we received, and waiter did not keep up with refilling the glasses. I don’t mind overpaying for wonderfully prepared food, but the wine doesn’t have to be that overpriced.
Waiter forgot the very first dish we ordered, the only thing I knew I wanted when I walked in. He brought me sautéed spinach rather than creamed spinach. But everything else was so great I didn’t realize I didn’t get it, until after I paid the bill and went to report how wonderful the creamed spinach was to my daughter, also a chef, who says “if there is creamed spinach on the menu, you must get it!). I paid for it, two people told me it would be right out, but I never got It. They were Not busy-half emptying a Sunday evening. The mushrooms were not great.
But the lobster risotto was perfection. I will go back Just for that and the lobster cargot!
Nice steakhouse with many aged beef options not seen on the online menus. Went there because of the lobster bisque on the appetizer menu but found out about a tablet with all kinds of goodies. Don't hesitate on the dry aged steak options. I had the blue cheese wedge, classic and fresh. She got the bisque, it was on the spicy side, slow heat, if that is an issue you will want to check out other apps. We went with au gratin taters and the house taters with all the onion! Both were nice with the steaks. The steaks were perfect internal temp with a nice crunch on the outside. One of the better aged and cooked steak I have had outside of Vegas and Chicago. Burke's in Chicago closed in 2017, but all good, just go to Mickey Mantle's in OKC.
Save room for dessert, the tres leches cake was fantastic. Only topped by the peach pie with at least a pint of great ice cream that melted into the pie for a great cobbler experience. The peach dessert was the size of my head!
The management was very accommodating to our needs. It was a birthday dinner. It was my 70th birthday. I picked the restaurant and made reservations. I did not know my friends were adding to the evening with more guests, a cake decorations etc. whatever my friends asked, the management was so nice to work with.
It was a truly beautiful evening!
Great place to entertain friends and family. My party was very impressed
We dined here for my wife’s birthday. The food is excellent and the waiting staff is in point. However, we were here for almost 3 hours waiting to get our main course. The restaurant was not that busy either. Again, food was great! Recommend for the food for sure.
We were downtown for my daughters birthday and she insisted on a steakhouse. We’d never been I Mickey Mantles before but since we were downtown and that’s what she wanted we decided to try it. Didn’t know you had to have reservations, kind of rude but seemed a little busy so I put it down to just trying to get through their job. We left to try and find something else. Ended up making a reservation through this website quickly and make it back. We still had to wait which was fine, we snagged this reservation last minute and they have to clean stuff up and set up the table. We are finally seated and it just went downhill from there. We only got 2 meals a side because with 2 kids about 8 they don’t eat much and didn’t have a kids menu. They won’t eat an 18 ounce Steak between them to save their lives. The food was really good but I felt judged and uncomfortable the entire time. The table next to us had several people check on them including the restaurant manager several times throughout their meal. We did not. I didn’t even want to leave a tip, I did, ive worked for tips so tipping a huge deal and I left my little over 20% because I couldn’t bring myself not to but the whole experience was unpleasant and something I have no interest or intention of repeating. Red Rock Canyons food is just as good and their staff has been so amazing when we’ve been there.
One of our Favorite places in Bricktown! Had our anniversary there and was fantastic!
The food and service were amazing. It was a real treat for me to take my Son there. I was a Mickey Mantle fan when I was a kid. Can not wait to go back when we are in town.
The service was impeccable! The Chateaubriand and lobster was fantastic. The lobsters was very mild and sweet tasting, the Chateau was perfectly cooked and a knife was a wasted utensil, absolutely fork tender. The meat just melted in your mouth! While a bit pricier overall, it was worth every penny paid for the fantastic food and great service received. We will be back!!!
Food and service were excellent. The only drawback is that it is very loud, which made our business conversation difficult.
