Enjoyed the special salmon and ultimate burger.
Excellent in most every way.
The service was amazing as always. Our waiter, Mitch, recommended the Lobster Cargot for our appetizer and it was ridiculously delicious! If I could have licked the bowl and not been stared at, I would have. My husband ordered the 10oz Japanese Wagyu Steak and it was so tender you could cut it with a fork. I ordered the Sea Bass with Lobster Risotto and it exceeded my expectations, so delicious! We love going to Mickey Mantle’s for date night and will definitely be back!
The regular menu looked nice but the ipad menu was wonderful, almost too many choices.
Father’s Day dinner!! It was amazing!
This place actually knows what customer service is, whereas too many places cannot even spell it.
The food was spectacular. They had a special for Father’s Day that could not be beat. The meat was some of the best I ever had. I hope the one in Houston is as hood.
Lovely dinner. Great service. Definitely go back again!
From the spicy seasoned coconut shrimp appetizer to the crisp Caesar salad, all the way to the peppercorn-crusted filet and the oh-so-tender and tasty sea bass with lobster rissoto, our dining at Mickey Mantle’s was great. Service was excellent (which is the norm), noise was a little excessive with 2 groups near our table, but a nice anniversary date for us! The food is really second to none - we were honestly too full to have dessert, but next time we’ll save room for the chocolate cake that has layers on layers. Thanks to Mickey Mantle’s for a special evening dinner for our special anniversary!
Seafood was great, bar was good, really enjoyed smoking a cigar in the bar.
Great as always!!
We were celebrating a anniversary and birthday. Noted that when we made reservation. Surprised there was no gratis drink or dessert when we spent over well $300. Had to ask for water refills. Loud because of one rambunctious table. Food as well prepared and delicious. Wedge Salad was disappointing. Only lettuce , very little bacon and 3 tiny tomatoes blue cheese dressing was so so. Sea bass was buttery and perfect.
So always the steaks were phenomenal and service putstand. It was a little loud but we still enjoyed it.
Our waitress was excellent and recommended an excellent wine that enhanced the taste of the steak. The atmosphere was lacking in what I usually expect in a steakhouse. It was good but not great especially for the price.
Great food and service
Our filet mignon was excellent and lobster risotto amazing. I gave it only 4 stars because it was extremely loud and the server could’ve been more attentive. Several refills on drinks were overlooked. For the pricey tab I expect more. That being said I would definitely eat there again! The food was that good:)
Wonderful food! Excellent service! Great atmosphere!
5 in our party. 3 ordered steaks. All three steaks were cold. One steak was ordered well done. A well done steak should not be cold!! Another ordered the vegan dish (stuffed peppers), it was cold as well. Oh, and the steaks had NO flavor what so ever. Our waitress was nice, but instead of telling us the daily specials she just handed us an iPad with the menu. 😳 Kinda disappointing when the average person’s meal is costing over $50. In my opinion this place is not worth the money. Not impressed!! Will not go back.
I will begin with the positives from our dining experience:
--our appetizers were both quite good. Indeed, the caprese salad was top notch. The crab-corn soup was also very nice.
--my wife's wine was tasty; my drink was pleasing.
Unfortunately, our meal was marred by the Japanese wagyu steak. I have had this Japanese steak in multiple states and generally paid much less. However, I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium steak. This was the worst Japanese wagyu steak that I have ever been served. I ended up discarding a chunk of it at our house afterwards as it was not worth eating.
Outstanding steak and wine menu. May be the best steak in OKC.
While this is a nice fine dining spot recommended to us by a friend, we had a few issues.
We love French Onion Soup, and it was good, but very pepper forward so we could not finish the broth and onions. My husband had a steak with no sauce and the steak was served on a plate - no garnish or anything - very bare. The steak was good but lacking juices. My steak was good and with juice.
Food was excellent. Even the sides were outstanding. Be prepared to spend $100 or so per person plus tip.
Good, not great. Salad and dressing was weak. Steak was very good. Would come back again. Excellent server Breanna.
My husband chose this restaurant for our 28th Anniversary dinner. We have been here two times before. The first time we were seated in the bar area, which is a totally separate & different experience. The bar area is lively, energetic & fun! The last time we were with a group of friends in the dining area. It was also a lively, energetic experience. The wait staff were very attentive & friendly. This time it was just the two of us. We were seated in a comfortable booth, much larger than we needed, but nice & cozy, romantic & quiet. Our server was friendly & very attentive. The only complaint my husband had was that the baked potato was only warm & not piping hot, like he prefers with his steak. But everything else tasted wonderful & was prepared exactly as we asked! It was a nice, relaxing & quiet dinner for our Anniversary.
This was the very first upscale steakhouse that my wife and visited shortly after getting married. We came in 2008 and absolutely loved it. I came back this past weekend for the first time since that initial visit. My wife passed recently and I came here in part to pay tribute to that wonderful night 10 years ago. My server did a fantastic job of helping to commemorate the evening.
As for dinner, the bone-in filet was outstanding!! Cooked perfectly to order, and extremely tender. The steamed seasonal veggies were sauteed in a bit of olive oil with some lemon sqeezed over them as a finish. Wow!! And the chocolate tres leches cake for dessert was fabulous!!
This place will forever hold a special memory in my heart!! It is definitely a place to celebrate, or commemorate a special event, or special person!!
Great service and wonderful food! We will definitely be back!
Micah wS an outstanding server. My son & I also enjoyed the great selection of Irish whiskey & the cigar bar!
Ask for medium rare steak and it was well done. They did take it back and fix another filet that was cooked perfectly. The young lady waiting on us was a pleasure and very sweet.
It was wonderful! My filet mignon was superb!! I really enjoyed my meal! Highly recommended!!
Great food, great wine list.
We expected a lovely meal, comparable to other restaurants in similar price range, such as Ruth’s Chris, or Red Oak. The steak was tough. The chicken Florentine consisted of two tiny pieces of chicken, not a breast, placed on either side of a large mound of mashed potatoes with some spinach mixed in. It was so overdone I couldn’t chew it.(completely dried out, crunchy brown)
We had to ask the waiter repeatedly to fill my husband’s glass.
We chose this restaurant to be our special night out while taking a few days to get away, and we’re sorely disappointed in the dining experience and food.
Service was not up to par for the quality. Waiter seemed more causal family style restaurant.
The food was awesome and would definitely give it another chance.
Would be nice to have more options for children.
A little noisier than normal. Services was not as it has been in the past. Improper placement of meals when delivered to the table. We are family so we could sort this out. This should not happen at a restaurant of this price or caliber.
We had a group of three and all of us were up all night sick from the food. You can use your imagination on the details.
We had to push our start time back the next business day as well as just felt lethargic as we tried to rehydrate . ( Eeryone had one drink all night as it was a late meal after flights in to OKC.)
Visiting with family
Best steak in Oklahoma City, and we’ve been to the top notch steakhouses.
This was at least my 3rd visit to this exact restaraunt and this was definitely not as good of an experience as the first two. I had the 7oz filet and king crab. My first impression of the filet was it was maybe 5 ozs in size and yes I realize it shrinks in size but not that much. The crab was just ok I don't feel like it was very fresh tasting. My wife had a 10oz filet also so and hers may have been much closer to the right weight but both did seem to be cooked as ordered. I was just underwhelmed for $200 and that's without any sort of alcoholic beverages. There are much better places to go for steak in this town and one would be Boulevard and the other Mahogany which are easily a notch or two above this place.
We had an out of town guest from the east coast who wanted to experience a great steak house. He and I ordered the bone in filet which was impeccable. My parents ordered the ribeye which was mediocre. The truffle butter is a MUST. Perfect addition. The oysters, however, were so small that they may as well have not been on the table. Overall the experience was nice- and our waitress was attentive. If you’re looking for an Oklahoma steak house this spot is worth it but prepare for the price tag and the stuffy, dated environment. Also, order the bone in filet.
The food excellent. I have been there many times. The service is usually excellent, but last nights waiter did not compare to the women I had the night before—he was ok, but ok does nut cut it at Mickey’s
He rolled his eyes when we did not order an appetizer—we did have alcoholic drinks— and he failed to warn us the the cookie desert was served on a red hot skillet and to be careful. Luckily we figured that out and were not burned.
Will go again next year, hope to get the female waiter that was so good the night before.
