My steak was overbooked. Server didn’t ask us to check them before he left the table. I didn’t want to wait for them to prepare another.
The Wagyu steak was amazing! I’m not sure two drinks, two sides, and a steak board was worth $300…. If I go back, I’ll skip everything and go straight to the Wagyu filet.
50th Anniversary and Christmas gift from our grandson!
Food was cool. We ordered a board with four types of steak on it. Was cool at best and the taste was mediocre. Mash potatoes were cold also. Had the lobster appetizer which was wonderful.
We live in Fort Smith and We will be back someday but it’s not the same as in the past.
We went for NYE, didn’t realize there would be a prix fixe menu, which wasn’t a big deal but for the price it was definitely a disappointment in quality of food. It wasn’t a fine dining experience but very rushed and felt like they were trying to turn all the tables over very quickly. The appetizer and salad were very good. The mahi dish tasted like an armpit (way too many overpowering spices). They let me send it back for a filet (I should have known better to order fish but you think “fine dining” would also include fish..) and I ordered it medium but it came very rare. I just asked for it to be boxed up bc I could finish cooking it at home…it wasn’t worth mentioning and I felt like no one actually cared at that point. No one ever asked if our steaks were cooked to our liking…just plopped them down and ran off to hurry the next table out. After spending $350 for dinner ($100 pp prix fixe and drinks plus tip) I will likely never go back. It used to be a classy spot and reliable fine dining, not sure what happened since we last ate there but that was pre-COVID.
Amazing food, wonderful service and the perfect atmosphere!
The only reason I rated this fine restaurant with anything but "5" was the appetizer, Baked Boursin Cheese. This cheese came out SO hot, it literally burned my tongue! In no way was I prepared for the temperature of this product. Once it cooled down a bit, it was quite tasty, but my palette was so tender, I could not enjoy it. Normally, I would order a steak. Due to my experience, I could not even think of trying to enjoy a fine steak. I ordered Oysters, which were ice cold, and quite tasty. My granddaughters meal..she would not even consider trying the Boursin due to my experience. I was disappointed as she is very picky and agreed ahead of time to try it. Her steak came out perfect! Because of the way she prefers her steak, it requires butterflying. In this case, she tries to "ruin" the steak before the chef gets a chance to try to prepare it! However, she picked this location for her 18th Birthday, because it has the best steaks. The Chef did not disappoint!
I would strongly recommend that consumers be warned in advance that the dip is right out of the oven, intensely hot! I just have a very tender tongue today, it could have been far worse. I am used to some hot things, but what we were given last night was dangerously close to causing a severe burn. It definitely ruined my meal, but at least I averted a serious injury.
This is NOT meant to be posted. This is information to the restaurant concerning our experience. Hopefully, it will be useful.
We had a wonderful Anniversary dining experience!! As usual, the food and service was above excellent!!
We went for our 38th Anniversary and was not disappointed, the food was awesome and the service was great as always.
The food was wonderful and the prices are actually quite reasonable for the quality, portions, and service. Mickey Mantle’s has never let us down, it’s a guaranteed great experience.
We had a 5:00 pm reservation. We had to eat early because we were going to a 7:00 pm Thunder game. We let our waiter know we needed prompt service and he did not disappoint. We received our cocktails and food in a timely manner and were out the door by 6:30pm to make the short drive to the arena and were in our seats for player introductions.
The food was WONDERFUL!!! I can't wait to go back and eat there again. Great service and GREAT food!!!
We have eaten at Mickey Mantle's many times over the years and it has NEVER disappointed.
Amazing 1st time will definitely be coming back
We had an uncharacteristic poor outing. I would usually recommend this restaurant to anyone, however on this occasion the food took surprisingly long to arrive, both of the steak orders were significantly overcook (Med rare came out well done) and the meat cuts were unusually fatty. The wait staff was not very professional and the second steaks were still not at the right temperature, but we didn’t want to wait for a third attempt. They charge enough to get it right the first time.
Always one of my favorite steak restaurants! We came for my moms birthday and had the best time, service and food was amazing! Try their sea bass it is fantastic.
Great experience and the food was amazing. We definitely would recommend this place for a great dinner.
We had the Wagyu Carver … best ever!
Service was on point, business casual dress, but nice jeans, boots and a dress shirt were perfect.
Our favorite place to celebrate our anniversary and birthdays!🤗
Best place to get a steak. We have gone here every year for the past 10 years for our anniversary and they never disappoint. They always go out of their way to tell us happy anniversary and do a little something special to make sure we enjoy ourselves.
This is THE place to dine. The steaks melt in your mouth, fish is great and we enjoyed the restful atmosphere while dining. The drinks were real drinks and not water downed fruit juice. A most pleasurable night.
We were there on a Thursday evening. The restaurant seemed to be pretty full. The food was good and the service very good. The room we were in was VERY LOUD. We could barely hear each other and were right to each other. Because of the noise, we probably will not go back.
Maybe it was an off night, but the very expensive steaks we ordered were not good at all. Overcooked to what we asked for and generally very bland. $250 bill for 2 people for sub-par food. Definitely won't be going there again the next time we're in OKC.
Everything was wonderful! Service was exceptional!! I had a tomahawk ribeye with with some lobster risotto!! It was amazing. Steak very flavorful and tender! Definitely will come back.
Every time I come to Oklahoma City, I make it a point to get to Mickey Mantle’s! The food is incredibly delicious and for a steakhouse, there’s salmon is the best of the best! I love the appetizers and cocktails are always great as well. Good wine list to complement a great steak. Definitely my hotspot in OKC!
Husbands birthday and we haven’t been here in probably a year or so… we were treated so well, got a free dessert, and a voucher for a free app in the future. Wait staff was great too!
2nd time there and food was AWESOME!
Outstanding steak and responsive service.
Staff and food were outstanding.
The atmosphere was nice, the food was great, but priced a little higher than comparable restaurants, the server was nice but kept coming over and trying to make small talk which took away from the intimacy of f the date. Overall a good time.
Very accommodating. Fantastic waitress—her name was Cammie. I am from Pearl River, Louisiana.
As always, the food was excellent, and the service top notch. It isn't a cheap night out, but it is a very enjoyable one.
Great food. Staff was courteous, fast, and made excellent recommendations for our dinner.
Food was great and service was just as good with pricing what you would expect at a steak house, but don't go expecting a quiet romantic dinner. It was very loud! But it did not hinder the staff to make our anniversary dinner enjoyable.
The steak and added items were outstanding the server was a great help
Date night! We had surf and turf, prime rib, and trimmings. Our starting salads were so tasty! This place always makes us feel special and pampered. Every bite was delectable….a special place to celebrate or to just focus on good food!
We went with my elderly parents and a friend and had a wonderful time at Mickey Mantle's! The food, service and server were excellent. And did I mention the dessert? The must have is the pecan pie!
We had a fabulous meal and service was spectacular. So many gluten free choices on the gf menu. Our waiter Michael was very helpful and attentive. We had the special, which was a combination of wagyu beef and prime beef. It was amazing! As for sides, the lobster risotto was not only gluten free, it was delicious. I would go back just for that! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was good but I am
more likely to visit one of the other high-end restaurants if i’m going to drop $80 on a food-only meal. Amy was my date for the night, she’s an awful person and made me feel like an idiot for spending so much money on her for this meal.
We had a great time with our party of 7. Service was great and the food was excellent.
It wasw our 1st time there, we were early and they seated us right away and the staff was very pleasant and generous. The food was delicious and we will be back soon, thanks for making my birthday a great one.
We come here every time we are in Norman for a football 🏈 game. Biggest disappointed 😔 no cream corn 🌽
