Michelle's Kitchen & Table
My medium well steak was very well done. Table beside us had the same problem. Table of two received two small rolls. Would lie to see four in the basket. Two per person considering the size. Besides the steak, the food was delicious.
There are lots of restaurants in lots of strip malls in Burlington. It's nice to find one where the menu is authentic and adventurous, the service is very friendly, and the interior space is pleasant and doesn't feel like you're in a strip mall. I've been here three times now, all on business, but the next time my wife is in town I plan to bring her here.
Take it from the parent of an Elon student. This is the ONLY place to dine when you are in Burlington, NC. The food is so delicious - absolutely homemade! Service couldn’t be more friendly. Restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Dined in for dinner, but also carried out lunch twice and still excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! You won’t be sorry.
While live music nice, it was too loud and the type was too twangy Couldn’t hear ourselves talk
Great food, a small menu but the food was delicious. Price was very reasonable too not bad for entrees under 30.00. The dessert was delicious also I had the apple blondie. I would definitely go back again
Booked this online - just visiting ELON U. -
Nice atmosphere when you walk in - fresh flowers , candles , calm lighting - overall very inviting
Wait staff excellent ,friendly and knowledgeable
Food was very good - tasty sauces and spices -
Too full to have dessert
Small menu may be tougher if you have children or large crowd but you can check ahead online
Mashed potatoes could have used some salt or garlic. Steak was a little burnt on the outside.
Our server was excellent! My daughter has an extremely acute lactose allergy and she was accommodating and my daughter still had a great gourmet meal!
I was visiting my daughter at ELON and Michelle’s kitchen was recommended to us by some of her friends
We thoroughly enjoyed the gnocchi and the decor is really beautiful!
Excellent food and service! The live music was a lovely surprise in touch
The sea bass was tender, perfectly cooked. The brussel sprouts small plate was amazing.
Dinner was very good although our waiter seemed to be new and was not sure about how to open wine....and also left the dinner dishes on the table while dessert was served..... But overall the food was very good and the musician that played guitar was also very good. We will go back!
Not a very good looking spot nor well decorated inside for that fancy style menu and ambiance they are trying to portray. Odd space. Strip mall location.
It was our first time at Michelle’s Kitchen & Table and we were super impressed! We are big foodies and love fine dining and Michelle’s did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the ambience was beautiful and the live music was such a great compliment to a wonderful evening. We are so excited that we have a new, amazing fine dining favorite in Burlington!
Loved it for our birthday celebration! Although pricey, it lives up to the standard of fine dining and everything was delicious and of great quality.
Great service in a quiet, relaxing location. The menu options were very good and the food was well presented and tasty. The wine selection was good and I had a great Pinot Noir.
Awesome in every aspect!
Truly, one of my favorite places to eat around here
A friend and I celebrated my husband's birthday with dinner. Everything was perfect. Food was wonderfully prepared. Waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the live music and enjoyed the night.
The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. It is great to have an option for upper scale dining!
We ate at Michelle's for the first time the other night. We were blown away! We loved everything from the scallops, the duck breast (cooked perfectly!) and the burger with truffle oil fries. Elevated comfort food. So amazing. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced with each other - never overpowering but just enough to give you the taste of what you were hoping for. I had never eaten duck or scallops before and I can confidently say that it's one of my favorite foods now!
This has become our goto restaurant for all special occasions. We have been customers of Michelle's since she first opened her catering business.
Always a great experience at Michelle’s! The service is wonderful and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend.
Lovely, upscale ambiance in this small town where fast-food eateries and casual dining prevail. Food is always fresh, healthy and delicious . The staff are all friendly and gracious. We will make this our regular dinner go-to on visits to our son who attends Elon University.
It is always good ... great service - maybe the best trained wait staff ever. You will not find a better Salmon anywhere!!
My feeling is that the restaurant should stick to its roots and do good solid southern food , instead of trying to be different -it does not work without the knowledge The food pairings on the menu did not make any sense -you do not serve grilled barbecue chicken with sausage gravy or ribeye with sweet potato curry ?? It is a pretty space and should be utilized - do what they do best -which is southern food - but do it well .
Our favorite neighbor was celebrating her 92nd birthday, and we wanted a special place to celebrate. Michelle’s certainly made this happen. Our server was excellent and lavished attention on the birthday girl. We ate Shrimp & Grits over Collards and the Pork Chop. The server kindly let us substitute the Brussels sprouts with oasparagus...not so wine-friendly, but delicious. Only disappointment was the creme brulee which was neither creamy nor cold. In spite of that, our evening was definitely special. Just to mention..Michelle has one of the best burgers in town.
Very good experience. They were spread a little thin that night due to an employee no-show, but they managed just fine. Service was attentive and pleasant. The food was good. I would return.
Fantastic dinner, friendly staff, wonderful night out.
Wonderful meal and excel service. Would highly recommend for any occasion.
Food was excellent we happened to pop in after moving our daughter into Elon university had mostly appetizers all fabulous also the butternut squash chili was OUTSTANDING!!!! Will definitely go back when we visit!
The server was knowledgeable and efficient. We had the fried pimento cheese balls for an app. They were excellent. We also shared a reasonably priced ($26) bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. My husband and I both ordered the special grouper. It was advertised as coming with zucchini. The fee zucchini slices were part of the pesto sauce. The portion was about 6 ounces which would been fine had a side or a salad been included in the $28 entree price. I realize this is an upscale restaurant. But to pay $100 and leave hungry won’t cause us to return.
All dishes were quite good.Tenderloin was outstanding. Will definitely
be back for a special occasion.Thought menu was limited and a little
Unexpected and very good variations on traditional dishes. The fresh ingredients were outstanding and the portions were generous. The service was perfect and attentive. Will definitely return.
Terrible experience. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation time. We were promptedly seated in the four seasons front room as was a family who walked in just before us. We watched as the waiter served water, took their order, brought drinks from the bar, told them about the specials. Ten minutes passed and we still didn’t have water and weren’t greeted by a waiter. My husband went to the hostess stand to inform them that we hadn’t been served yet. Finally, the floor manager came with a waiter and said that our original waiter had been assigned elsewhere. We informed them that we were now under something of a time crunch since we had plans for a movie right after dinner. No apology was given nor any complimentary appetizer offered. Still it was a few minutes before we got water and our order was taken. The she-crab soup was good but my husband had some crab shell in his. I ordered the sea bass for dinner, the most expensive entree on the menu ($35). I asked for no watermelon salsa on top but didn’t realize this meant the fish would be served plain and dry. It was tiny, unseasoned, and dry albeit cooked correctly. My husband’s burger was burnt yet undercooked and the truffle fries were nothing special. He had to get up to ask for ketchup since the waiter never returned to ask how our food was. When someone brought the ketchup, we also asked for the bill so that we could go when we were done eating. The bill came, but they never picked it up with our card. Once we were done eating, we went up the hostess to pay and then had to wait another 5 minutes to be able to sign the check. As we were walking out the door, the hostess thrust a $20 gift card into our hands. Again no apologies. What a terrible start to a date night. What a shame - I had been to Michelle’s before and had a nice experience but we won’t be returning and I definitely won’t be recommending this restaurant to anyone else.
We have been to Michelle's several times and always found it worth the 30+miles. Beautiful table setting, pleasant staff and great tasty food. Will return many times.
Michelle's Kitchen & Table never disappoints. The bartender is amazing and always welcomes us, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is one where you can dress up or dress casual and fit right in!
We had a great experience at Michelle’s. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. We will be back.
First time visit and we were not disappointed. The ambience was perfect for a date night. Food was excellent. A rare gem in Burlington
From the moment we were greeted by the hostess, we had a fabulous experience. Wonderful and attentive staff, and superb food. We will visit again soon. Highly recommend!
