   Michael's is our Favorite place to go! The food is absolutely amazing! If you like shrimp, you MUST order the shrimp cocktail, it can be shared by four BUT, I order it just for me and enjoy every single bite. Their steaks are amazing! Their short ribs are to die for! Actually, I cannot think of anything on the menu that is anything but top quality and delicious! Try their gazpacho, if they have it as a soup of the day, yum! Bon Appetite! Ann T

   Michaels Steakhouse was excellent! We had the premium ribeye which was very tasty and excellent. My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary there and it was an excellent choice.

   I went through all the trouble of requesting a dessert that they serve as a birthday surprise like a candle or special writing something. And also requested a table as child free as possible. When it came time for the surprise dessert the waiter looked at me like I had three heads and of course we were seated next to a huge family table. Very loud. I’m older and wear hearing aids, so with out having to yell at my friends over the din of children screaming would have been nice. When I mentioned this to the hostess she said “ well that’s on me I didn’t read the comment. “. I think this needs to be a training session for the staff. I would have left a bigger tip had it all gone as planned. I think a compensation should have been offered but that’s just me. Now! Going forward the waiter was perfect and it was the best 40.00 steak I ever had. I think It’s A bit expensive with everything ala carte but it was a special night. ( hence the reason for the instructions. ). Why go through all that if they aren’t going to be read? If you’re up in that area try the thirsty sturgeon as well

   We love Michael's, food is always wonderful, fresh, and we feel at home. Their salmon and is a must, as is their whitefish and sushi. We also love the Silo for outdoor dining and their burger and truffles fries are amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you choose... Ask for Randy as your server...he's the best!

    First visit after being south for the winter and Michael’s delivers just as I remember. Food is to die for. Wait staff amazing as usual - great job Virginia as you always do. Very excited to hear sushi will be on the menu all summer.

    Fine dining in northern mi:) The food was exceptional. We sat in the dining room and it was reasonably full for a Wednesday . Our server Randy was fabulous, witty and spot on. The prices were moderately high and worth it! We will go back to sample the rest of the menu:)

    As usual Michaels delivers. Sue and I had our anniversary dinner Saturday it was perfect. I had ribeye and she had short ribs. Our server was very attentive, so was the rest of the staff. We followed up with a drink in the bar and again service was great.

    Elizabeth was an excellent waiter -quite attentive yet not hovering. My only complaint would be the servers bringing out the food did not always place it in front of the correct person, but we quickly switched the dishes around. Our 4 steaks were cooked to the exact “done-ness” we requested - not over or under cooked. The meat had a lot of flavor and was tender but still had texture. Salads were yummy, and I loved my Caesar. Grilled asparagus was tender and cooked Al dente and 1 serving easily served 2 people. A fantastic meal! I liked the twist of a Michigan Margarita made with tart cherry juice, and wine … we all topped off the meal with a chocolate cherry bourbon ice cream which was generous enough for 2 people to share. Thanks for a terrific meal … it is pricey, but definitely worth it for special occasions.

    I had the 16oz Pork Chop. It was to be medium. As I began slicing the chop I noticed the meat was more than medium. As I got to the middle of the chop. The color of the meat became medium and the favor and the tenderness of the meat was what I wanted my chop to be. It also was over salted for me. I would when ordering again say light on the salt. My sweet potatoe side was delicious. Bourbon Ice Cream was delicious as always. I love the decor and the layout. Appreciate the very clean bathroom. I do enjoy going to Michael’s.

    From the time we walked in until the time we left, we had a wonderful experience at Michael's. It was our 1st time there, But it will definitely not be our last. The service was attentive and our server's recommendations were spot on. The food was well prepared and the quality was fantastic. And we were allowed plenty of time to enjoy our meal and time together. We look forward to trying more items on the menu. , and we're excited to try.     Second visit to Michael's. The first was for my birthday last December and the food and service could not haver been better. This trip was more of the same. It was a bit of a drive but was worth every7 mile.

    Everything about our dining experience was excellent! The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. We asked the maître d’ for a specific table and she handled it for us with no complaints. Our waitress was prompt explaining all the details of the food to us, and was timely when delivering dinner and dessert. We will definitely be back.

    We made reservations and chose the bar side for a more casual atmosphere. We usually always sit in the dinning room. We have always had a great experience at Michaels. The only thing that sticks out is young children were in the dinning side and once in the bar side. I’m surprised with the price point and nice atmosphere that young children are brought. Breaks up the ambiance and dinning experience. (Just fyi I love kids, I have 2 of my own. This is not a restaurant I’d bring young kids to)

    Very good food prepared well. Service is fantastic, couldn’t be happier. Our server, Miles, was polite, friendly and professional. Other service team also jumped in to refill drinks and clear plates. Micheals is alway good, consistent and an enjoyable evening out.

    STAY AWAY!! Not that we want too, but the owner doesn’t respect or appreciate anyone! Have kids running reservations and apparently you are not allowed to make changes. Owner was extremely rude and disrespectful after being shown that we called to make changes. Our waiter was amazing, the food was awesome- the the owner made it a point to tell the whole staff about an error that was their own. Sat people who had reservations and regulars in an awkward table set up OVER a walk-in. STAY AWAY!! You may enjoy your service and food, but you will not be able to escape the rudeness of the owner in the front of the house!

    The one owner is rude and disrespectful - I believe childish is more appropriate. Too bad that she doesn’t appreciate her customers. Have eaten there almost weekly for almost 2 years and she could careless. We won’t go back and will ensure that everyone in town knows what happened when her staff makes mistakes. It’s obvious that the young woman that have working are scared of her. So very sad considering her husband ensures the food is amazing and the wait staff is always on top of things.
