Was our honeymoon trip and our first time in St Augustine, we had a great dinner and got a little tipsy đ weâll be back for sure!
We enjoyed the food a lot.
Wine list spectacular. Food served too quickly.
This is the place to go if you want the best St. Augustine can offer in cosmopolitan dining. The menu has a great selection, but if you want an outstanding steak, this is the place to go. While at the patio table, we met Chef Michael who was tending to a roaster of 20oz, yes that's 20 ounce pork chops which was also offered on the menu. I had a Salmon Wellington which was delicious, but I did get a bite of steak from my friend and wow!!!!!!!! Caesar Salad is one of the best and their mashed potatoes are delicious. Highly recommend.
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Michaelâs last night! We enjoyed every bit of the tasting menu with wine pairings and we are looking forward to our next visit. We were celebrating my wifeâs birthday and this was an absolutely wonderful place for it.
Very nice relaxed restaurant, I recommend!
Loved it. Was special night with my daughter and her beau. Tiajha (our server) was super sweet and helpful. Food was great. Highly recommend.
OUTSTANDING +1!
Went there on 4/11 for our anniversary dinner. Chef/owner Michael Lugo truly is an expert all the way around. We requested to meet him and as busy as he was, he made time for us. Recommend a yuca mofongo with a churrasco steak and Lord was that delicious (my wifeâs plate). I had a salmon Wellington that was unreal! The crust was perfect. Between the crust and the salmon there was a seasoned lentils mash that blended very well.
Because I love risotto I had to order a side (plenty for two people). I am not sure where I fit all of that food but I swear there was no a grain left!
Appetizers: The Bon bons ( sweet plantains wrapped in bacon) were the perfect sweet/salty combination!
We were so excited about this date and so happy it turned out fantastic!
All of the staff was so great and what stood out was if we asked a question and that person couldnât answer it, a subject matter expert was there with the answer. Our server, Chelsea, was so cool. Very funny and helpful and always respectful!
We will be back to St. Augustine for the 4th of July weekend and already are looking forward to our next meal at Michaelâs!!!
P.S. If you like your wines, you WILL find one to satisfy your palate!
Amazing food and service! The tasting menu was exceptional and each course was presented by the chef! Our server, Mike was fabulous and attentive. Hidden gem That we intend to come back to over and over again!
Wonderful dinner with my wife for our anniversary. The staff was attentive and we even got have a conversation with chef Michael Lugo. I can not recommend this place enough.
Charming setting with an intimate and polished decor. Chose Michael's to celebrate husband's birthday and picked the Chefs selection along with wine pairings. Food is beautifully presented and well executed. Only drawback was that we felt rushed throughout the courses and I wish that would have been managed differently.
Interesting menu choices, exceptionally well prepared food , attentive service, wide ranging wine list and pleasing décor .
We chose the seven course tasting menu plus oysters.
The restaurant did not have basic accouterments such as horseradish and cocktail sauce. They also did not have sparkling water. The oysters were not properly shucked.
The steak tartare was mediocre, and not memorable. The triple berry salad was uninspired.
The gnocchi was sautéed well, but it was dense and under seasoned.
The scallop was the highlight. It was properly cooked, seasoned, and the cauliflower was a nice al dente.
The filet was above average, and cooked properly. However, the mash potatoes were bland, but the spinach was great.
The cheese plate was insignificant; with more cherries and almonds than Brie.
The dessert was bananas foster cake, and it was the second highlight behind the scallop.
We will not return, however, we must make note of the wonderful Sommelier, Natasia, because of her hospitality and extensive wine list.
Nice place, great small plates and cheese board. Small menu, but they do it well.
OMG!!!! Don't miss an opportunity to dine this wonderful restaurant! Top notch service and food. Our server Mike recommended the Swordfish and the Veal Chop and it did not disappoint! Amazing wine list and ambience with very cool blue walls and paintings that capture the eye. A absolutely wonderful experience!!
We totally enjoyed Michaelâs as Nd had an amazing experience. Food quality was fantastic, loved the atmosphere, and excellent service.
Canât cook steak to liking and manager does not care
Went for our anniversary. We were sitted in a quiet room, given complimentary champagne amd the service was spot on. Food was amazing like usual.
Our second meal at Michaelâs. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant. Food was outstanding and service attentive. Will be back!
Main courses were not very tasty!
Wonderful steakhouse with amazing steaks! Wonderful experience! The service was great as well!
Nice atmosphere and great service Our server Nick was very attentive
Steak was tough and flavorless. Service empowered themselves to clear the table before we finished our meal. From entering to exiting the restaurant was 1hour 15 minutes, we did not hang around slowing up future reservations. Very negative atmosphere . If you want to flush your money down the toilet you will enjoy Michaels.
Service and ambience are great.
Food is mediocre at best. Overpriced.
Best meal of my life.
Perfect service, flawless execution.
I was out to dinner with three girls friends for a girls weekend. We opted for the chefs choice 5-course menu and it was phenomenal. I have never enjoyed such a wonderful meal in NE FL. I highly recommend the restaurant and the chefs choice menu! A truly unbelievable dining experience. A must see when in NE FL.
Beautiful atmosphere and fantastic service! Dishes were very good but overpriced based on the of the entrees.
The best and possibly only bone-in filet in town, rare, with mushrooms on the side. Perfection.
The food was absolutely exquisite. We also chose the wine pairing. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and spent the time to explain each wine for each course.
The food was reasonably well prepared but the service was cold to say the least. We dined here several times when it was a tapas bar and everything was excellent. The attitude of âoh god, customers that donât want the 5 course tastingâ will make sure we find other venues when we visit St. A.
The 1st time we went, a couple years ago, was excellent. We went back and again ordered the $270.00 ++ Chefâs choice 5 course wine paired dinner. The food was spot on. The service was not up to par. Before the chef had come out to tell us what he had made for us. This time we felt like we were left in the corner. Things like. They had 4 empty tables around us, our 2nd course came out from a food runner. But they had taken our silverware when they bussed the 1st course. We could not find anyone to get their attention. So we got up and pillaged silverware from another table. And nobody noticed.
And some other things also, but you get the point. At $300.00 dinner for 2 we felt underwhelmed..
I send a e-mail letter in, and got no response.
Terrific food. A very pleasant experience
My Husband and I came here to celebrate our one year anniversary. We decided to park take in the tasting course- which we had never done one before. It was a great decision. The food was amazing and then learning about the wines and paring them with the food- deff worth it and to do this for a special occasion.
We went to Michaels for my wife's Birthday. The experience was amazing! The food was excellent, the service was great and the ambience was fenomenal. I would definitely go again.
We had an amazing anniversary dinner. Summer was our server and she was fantastic. Each course of the tasting menu was delicious and the wine pairing really put it over the top. Highly recommend.
Amazing dinner. I had the Beef Wellington and the rest of the party had steaks- The meat is like butter. Our server was on point!! Definitely our go-to for special occasions and whenever we get a craving for a fine steak. Thank goodness we are locals now :). A+++ all the way.
One of the best places in St Augustine. Had the 5 course chefâs tasting with wine pairing. The Best
Went here for our 22nd anniversary and we were not disappointed. Great food, tremendous service, great evening!
We celebrated my wifeâs 50 birthday here; what a wonderful experience!! From the service to the sommelier to the menu; extra kudos for the chef accommodating my vegan diet with creative plates; really nice spot in St Augustine
Summer, our server, was fabulous!
